- Funeral of Commissioner Chianghnuna of The Salvation Army at Aizawl Temple Corps on Jan 2, 2017. The Commissioner died of cancer at Greenwood Hospital, Aizawl Mizoram on January 1st, 2017 at 11.10 am. His funeral was held at Aizawl Temple Corps with full Salvation Army honours. Born on June 19, 1929 at a small hamlet in Mizoram, the Commissioner enjoyed formal schooling only up to Class III. Despite his lack of formal education, he educated himself and became the first Mizo Salvation Army Officer to reach the rank of Commissioner, the highest rank in The Salvation Army after the General. I shot and edited this video and apologise for the unprofessional quality as I did not have the necessary equipments for shooting the video. I have also taken some liberties with the music and songs which I have downloaded from the internet. Any breach of copyright laws are my sole responsibility and not intentional. i have know Commissioner Chianghnuna since i was a small child. My father Commissioner Mohan Masih worked for many years with him. We were lovely neighbours. There were moments when I as a young boy, agreed or dis-agreed with both Uncle Chianghnuna and Barbara aunty. but i am really saddened to hear about uncle's death. May God bless his soul. May God grant aunty Barbara, Esther, Mary, Jean and their brother and all loved one's, including Sanghi s peace and courage to bear his loss. Waris
