I was there ..best year of my life....so many stories
What a tour...what memories....BRILLIANT.
BRITISH LIONS!!! the best rugby tour in the world...1997 needs to be in the memory of all Lions in 2013!
97 lions tour Denton try
British and IRISH lions
All other countries are jealus of the fact that the four home unions can come together and bang, weve got something there.
having a mix of great players in a team is one thing.... having team cohesion to make the most of it is another.... it'll be interesting to see the next lions tour. would have loved see them back in New Zealand next year instead of Australia though
I love the baggy jerseys!
We won the series, that's all that matters.
we just won it yessssssssssssssssssssssssss
Almost got eaten by a crocodile that's how good it was...brilliant year
2:13 BOSH
Massive hit!
Boks 9 tries to 3 but lost series due to poor goal kicking. Pity that plays such a huge role
That's Rugby...
@Andy Butler yes I agree those Lions goal kicks could've been tries. But the fact remain Jenkins didn't miss once, but SA missed most.
@Andy Butler I'm from SA yes, but it's pure arrogance and stupidity from some SAns to say we would've won those. There's so many factors coming into a tournament, into each game (it's like saying Foreman crushed Frazier and Ali struggled against Frazier....so Foreman should beat Ali).
Or a series like 97 - two factors we spoke about being goal kicks on the day and also a well drilled Lions side and a great motivational captain.
All I say, yes it was a great Lions side, just wish we picked the in form kicker at the time
I take it we lost the third test?
