Will, you look and sound like a very proud GSD owner, as you should! They are absolutely amazing companions, so freakin' smart, my boy is almost 3 yrs and I'm so completely thrilled with the bond that we have - Enjoy every stage of your journey 💙

Thanks for the videos. I have a German shepherd that's 3 1/2 years old now. Big improvements each year. Constant reinforcement training. Very sweet dog. Hardest thing to break was her getting excited and jumping on people. It took a long time to fix that. Crate training is a must. House training was a breeze, she never had an accident in the house. I couldn't have trained her as well as I did without a prong collar. Glad to see you got a great dog. I love how intelligent and eager to please they are. Wonderful breed.

Your videos have helped my dog so much. Her name is Lulu and she loves watching your dogs play and me trying to figure out what you’re saying half the time but thank you for these videos. They are helping out so much. Keep on it.

For people who are training for the first time, patience, planning & persistence.
Your pup can't learn everything all at once. It's a daily, weeks, months thing
Plan up. Training can get more complex after considering what the pup has already learned.
Don't get down on yourself when you botch a command or a word. It's part of the process.
The dog is good at business. It will do it's best to understand & do what you want if it likes the reward.
The best time to train happens when the dog wants to interact; any time, all the time. Keep the treats handy
It's one thing to read & see. It's another to do the training. It feels clunky, but it's getting better.
    Repition
These are things I'm finding out

Loving the journey with Reggie! We’re also 2 weeks in with our working line lab - your videos have been incredibly helpful! Our pup is crate trained and has had no accidents :)
Will you start teaching Reggie to walk on a slip lead?

My 6 wk puppy came home in 2 airplanes on a 10 hr trip. He slept through most of it. Atlas knows his kennel is his, knows he's safe with me, and is getting to know his sisters and yard. After he's had his 2nd set of shots, he can go about with me. He's slept through the night with his toy, which his brother played with before I made my choice. He only barks when he needs to go outside. Atlas will be 20 lbs at 8 wks, so I'll be happy when he can play with confidence and balance. Lol

Then we have to jump in the car and go looking for him he has often went a mile and half, I would happily put in the work if I new what to do love your videos

Stop letting him off the leash until he has a solid recall. Practice recall on leash indoors, then off-leash indoors, then on a long leash outdoors, then off-leash in a fenced yard (if possible). All before letting him run free.

Hi, Your puppy Reggie is doing really well and it would be interesting to see who he picks as the one person who he'll be happy to please/ be loyal too in your family. I have a young German shepherd dog pet myself and although she has been socialised, I found that she was taken back seeing so many kids walking on the road after school hours. The issue was having too many people behind her as it's innate to guard, so she usually likes to be in a position to see all angles wherever she is. So, I will be taking her more and more during this time to see more young people as she usually only sees 2 of them in order to help her get comfortable. So, it would be worth it to see how your puppy does in this sort of environment and build on it. Looking forward to seeing more videos on Reggie's progress with his training and I may get more tips on how to train my dog on top of the dog training classes I'm doing with her :)

Something to say, always train your dog yourself. You dont want to confuse the dog who the owner is.

I want to teach my puppy socialization as soon as possible, but in Brazil, it’s necessary to vaccinate them fully before exposing them to external environments or other dogs. Since this vaccination protocol can take months, how can I handle this situation?

Maybe it's bc I'm drunk, but that squat form does not look right. You should have kept your back parallel to the direction of travel to the bar, doing so reduces the risk of back injury

A German Shepherd bonds for life! By the time they're reaching teenage selling the dog is breaking the dog. It is a stronger bond than marriage between humans can be. Please keep that in mind.

I get you've got to make a living but 95% of your content is talking about training rather than actually showing us how to train and the rest is all behind a paywall. The titles of your videos are very clickbait. Nearly 1mil subs and everything is behind a paywall when you must make a fair bit from UA-cam Monetisation.

Does anyone know where to get decent enough sized dog training biscuits in the UK obviously, I'm watching an American trainer by the name of Nate Schomer and he uses decent sized biscuits for luring exercises but all the treats I can find in pet shops/ b and m etc are absolutely tiny and not big enough to hold the way he tells you too. I don't want to go off another trainers now I've alread started to train my dog Nate's way plus it's like a million people have already said will Atherton etc don't actually show us what to do where as Nate does in basically every video he has! I don't live far from will either but I ain't paying to find out basic information after paying nearly 2 grand for a dog. Where do people think you get the money from. It's not like we are making a wedge of UA-cam videos or anything 😆.
Already make money off the videos as if that's not enough. I've ordered shed loads from Amazon and online and still they are too small to use to train my dog with

'Treats' are just an unnecessary expensive rip-off and, because they're in addition to whatever you measure out as a regular meal, can make your dog put on weight. Use part of your dog's measured out daily ration of food and only give as a reward for successful response to 'cues' (which can also be known as 'commands').
