- A quick video on how to use Samsung Good Lock (NavStar) to enable switching back and forth between One UI 6.0 and One UI 6.1 navbar gestures.
This will likely be added to One UI in an upcoming release, and will no longer require Good Lock at some point in the future.

@@brunobellucci275 It worked on mine. I needed to install goodlock just like in the vid. NavStar downloaded fine too but i needed goodlock to have it work.

Thank you!!!! I've been using the three swipe ups with the hint bars removed. Once I got my s24 ultra with the new gestures, I immediately hated it. The frustration was so real that it brought me here. Thank goodness they made it possible to go back to the previous version.

Just updated to OneUI 6.1 on my Galaxy Fold 5 to see Samsung evidently decided to screw with the gesture controls on the navigation bar and make it more like my ipad which drove me up the wall... I'm grateful to have found your video. Thanks so much for the quick and easy solution to get my beloved gesture controls back to normal.

Updated before 30 minutes my S22 Ultra,and was so pissed that the buttons were missing checked Goodlock before your video with no luck..but after I updated the app the gesture settings appeard, thanks man very helpful video!

Just updated S23 to Software Update 15 on VZ. They removed the three button swipe gesture and I don't have the option to use the Goodlock workaround (it's not listed as an option in NavStar). So NOW I have a reason to switch to iPhone, finally... after never owning one. To just change something huge like this and remove the option to go back... it's like moving your car's steering wheel to the other side, WITHOUT WARNING. Just plain stupid.

I'm sorry my friend, I know, it's super frustrating. I hear the option is going to be baked into the main settings now, and that's why they recently removed it from NavStar. But they really screwed up the rollout of this, it should have been the end-users choice since day 1 if they were going to change things up like this.
As frustrating as it is, I've actually grown to prefer the new nav gestures over the old style. I hated it at first, that's why I whipped up this video with the quickness when I first got it, but it's grown on me a lot. Now when I go back and forth between my s24u and the z fold 5 or tab s9, the gestures on the older devices seem more cumbersome. It took a few days though, it wasn't an overnight thing.
@@RADERTECHI hate to admit that I'm starting to agree. It's not all bad. I just hate that they dumped it on us without warning (unless you're already in the know). By they time they release another update (mine was this AM), I'll have long forgot about how it used to be. Makes me want to kick a little S Korean ass but then they might take my Genesis GV60 away and I ain't parting with that!!! ;-)

This wasn't even an Android thing. This was a Samsung thing. It's just a swipe version of the ancient nav buttons. iOS doesn't have a dedicated way to go back within apps so standard Android swipe navigation is pretty much the opposite of iOS navigation.

I just noticed when applying your tip that I had Samsung wallet gesture enabled and was interfering with it, so I disabled this (no biggie) and everything is working well, thanks again Brian 👍

Thank you I already had good lock and didn't even know i could change back. Went looking for others who had noticed and non of the big youtube guys even caught this! Glad to see I'm not alone. I was so pissed not that it took long to get used to just that navigation felt sluggish and less efficient. The 3 bars are differently faster and more fluid its like going from typing to swiping. Once you get used to it the one bar is a major downgrade.
