Trouble Shooting A No Start 2007 Cadillac DTS Won't Crank...1 Click...Fixed

- Caddy had issue Starting after it was parked. Headlights worked fine. Battery was strong. It was given a boost anyway. Still did not fix issue. Ground wires were looked at. Fuses and relays were checked. Everything else worked. No issues with power. Dash lights and all electronics worked fine.

The neutral safety switch or the TCM, ECM, or the fuses to those components. Don't forget to check the control shift cable. Just because.
Crank sensor or camshaft sensor is what im not hearing about one is in the intake were the starter is located
I have a 2007 DTS Cadillac that stopped running a month ago. I had to get my car towed home, when attempting to start it made a sound similar to a vacuum. The battery died but I’ve had plenty of jumps and each time we attempted to start it we got the same results back. I was wondering if you can give me some pointers before I Resort to a mechanic.
I have an 08 dts. Everything comes on when the key is in the on position. But shuts off when i try to crank it.

Everything you check off is my mechanic did even got a rebuilt starter from Auto Zone still got that click
Tell him to check if the engine is seized.
Recheck fuses and relay
Make sure the battery is fully charged and ground is connected and not corroded.
Make sure are ground contacts are good.
Have him to to crank from the relay.
and for people coming in, I'll give them auto advice that is pretty much universal. If a car won't crank, and you know the battery has juice...more than likely its the starter, or wiring related to the starter. If its the alternator, what will happen is your battery will drain over time leading to starting issues. All three things are on a circuit, Battery, Starter, Alternator. No juice means it could be a bad battery or a bad alternator. Lots of juice, no start means its probably the starter or the wiring related to it.
I’m having that issue now with my dts 06 some days it cranks up after being left on charger and runs after I kill it it drains instantly and I’ve replaced the battery, alternator, and starter the shop told me they couldn’t find the problem, lights flicker, it’s weird I do a lil work on cars and can’t find it i even bout a diagnostic test and it says crankshaft position sensor,map sensor circuit low,camshaft position sensor performance,fuel level sensor circuit, high voltage,transmission controls module requested mil illumination,out put speed circuit sensor no signal
@@rodneytaylor8646 the crankshaft position can interfere with starting. If the computer is throwing a code related to that sensor...that is probably your culprit.
My car like it ain't getting no power from the battery it want do nothing just wouldn't crank after driving it i can jump it off and drive it tho doesn't make since
