Thank you! You gave me hope😂😂 I'm trying to revive an old yamaha cheap eg303 with worn frets. I want to pump it up with led fret markers and want to save original body and neck.
The only important part is how to get the spatula in at first. That is the part that is missing. The spatula won't go in without some first step that is missing.
What about maple fretboards? My strat copy has a very whippy neck and I would like to stiffen it with some carbon fiber or titanium rods. Are they more difficult to remove? I fear one will see damage when gluing it back on.
I have a classical guitar which are more delicate and I'm worried that so much heat could cause issues. Since I would like to completely replace the fretboard with a new one, would it be safer to plane or sand off the fretboard so that no heat is involved ?
It is obvious that this is the first time that you have ever removed a fretboard.... it was like watching paint dry... the new putty knives bought to make this video should have had the labels removed to give a smoother surface... also you did not apply heat for long enough to melt the glue
Ah yes the ole two stones with one bird trick
thats passionate
Angry Birds kill two stones with one bird.🔫🗿🗿🦅

Thanks! Now I know how to do it. Going to repair my acoustic.
Great content... if there's fret binding, do you need to remove the binding first or to do it in the same way? Thanks!
2 stones, 1 bird? Lol…

Good video! Thanks!
How long did that take?
Perfect job! 👍 How long did it take you all together?
Is it safe to do this on a 3piece neck like Ibanez?
What if it is glued on with Tightbond?
It probably was a PVA type glue like tightbond.
I think you do need to remove the frets first.
Heat the spatula also
You don't want to heat a scraper/spatula with plastic/rubber handle.

yinzer. i knew when he said iron
Great video, but your crickets were seriously competing with you.
The way you slide that guitar back and forth across your wood bench will never attract business of we who care about our finish.

If you're a pro why are you watching this? I don't see any videos from coming from you dbag
