On the one hand, yes, I agree with you. I wish the original four could have went out together like they came in. But, on the other, there's no way Bill could have played the way Brad Wilk did. A phenomenal performance.
Greatest band of all time to those of us who get it. Different people have different different tastes. Zeppelin was a lot more technically proficient. To those of us with a darker outlook on life, Sabbath is our Beatles.
Yet 2 years later, Ozzy, Geezer, Tony and Bill appeared together for the 1992 reunion show and in 1994 and 1995, Tony, Geezer and Bill played lived in Europe with Tony Martin singing on the Cross Purposes tour.

I ordered this rare album through eBay and the tracking says it finally made it into the US. Hopefully I receive it in just a few short days. So unfortunate that it's not available on iTunes. I've been watching this video on UA-cam non-stop. It is just so good and I didn't even know it existed until a few weeks ago.

Such a great song! I never got why Bill's solo stuff was the least known of all Sabbath's members' other music. I mean, I get that lead singers usually are most famous, best known et al, but as this is a truly great song (on a truly great album), ... it just deserves to be known broader than it is, and this roughly applies on Bill himself, too. Great guy!
Gosh, this video brings me back to March 1990 when me and my friend's lives revolved around the Pepsi power hour. We were thrilled to see a new video by Ozzy because it seemed that the power hour was going downhill at that point and there were more mediocre bands than ever. So a new video by Ozzy was an absolute nugget...Anyways, I got laid off from a job I hated, our entire band slept over at my friend's house and we would jam and perfect our latest covers for our next gig. His parents were out of town so we had the house to ourselves, and we had the freedom to work solely on the sound of our band without worrying about getting up early to a job i hated. So this brings back the exciting, magical memories. However, my friend and I laughed at how corny we thought the split screen and Ward playing without any passion or life looked as he played, plus the suit and the fact that he looked like an old man. Don't get me wrong: I tremendously respect what Ward brought to rock and metal being the legend that he is, but we found the video hysterical.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!! I totally forgot about this song .. .i loved it the second it appeared on MTV but haven't thought about it since ... someone great just said "your brain remembers everything, even if you don't access it daily." .... watching this reminds me of my life during that time. Thanks again.
As the description says, this video only aired a couple times on MTV back in the day. I was lucky to catch it by random chance on Headbangers Ball one of those few times it aired. Was surprised to see Ozzy singing in it. Taped the tail end of it on VHS just in time to catch the name of the song and album.
in All Actuality the Entire Album/CD was based on Someone who has Been there, and Back, through "Their eyes" so to speak, the rise and Fall from Nothing to the Top and back to the Bottom again... and the slow Ascent upwards again
Top track from a hard to find brilliant record. I love, love love that Ozzy didn't mail this vocal in (he also does a fine job on Jack's Land) as he so often did on these side projects. I believe Therapy? are still reeling from what he did to Iron Man on NIB. Great sound quality here as well. Cheers!

Bill Ward is a great songwriter.
I remember seeing this video's premiere on MTV Headbanger's Ball in 1990. Such a great song that never got the recognition it deserves.
Meaningful lyrics, it's 2022 and straight to my heart!! God bless ya, Bill Ward!!
Praise God!
Masters of the Universe
I found it neat that Bill found his own sound, and didn't try to replicate his work with Black Sabbath. A solo record in every sense.
I find it funny and interesting how Bill Ward seems to make it look Hard and Serious when he plays Drums in such a Simple Organic way.
Killer track!
Hell Yeah Glen, this track is super underrated too!
Officially approved by Glen Frickin Fricker. So it's a good song
Right? Also killer bass player who actually knew their shit and held the song down (studio recording, not whomever they put in the music video)
It's a shame this ain't published in any place
One of the greatest heavy metal/hard rock albums I've ever heard, I'm astonished that MTV ever played anything this cool.

That is right, because a drummers main goal is to keep a steady and consistent beat throughout the song.

That's how he looked during the No Rest for the Wicked era. No More Tears he brought back his 70s Sabbath look for more less
