Jeff would it be wise to wait and file claims after the new year since this one is about done and over with? I got something worth filing on and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. Have you ever seen a gold deposit in green schist before? I have! That's all I'm saying right now.
the most fascinating thing about Jeff is tat he runs a business that makes enough money to hire other workers and yet still has a passion to make these videos. I really appreciate that Jeff. we would never get to see this kind of thing if you did not have youtube as a hobby.
I think personal wealth has less meaning to himfor the thrill and excitement of just getting out there getting all wet to find that sweet yellow metal. Living your best life regardless off what you got in the bank. Anyway, if he wasnt doing all this, what in the world would he do? watch tv all day? oh hell no. ;-)
Not just a very well informed miner but can really talk smack about the rock formations and geology enough to even make the rocks blush. If the reality shows had any brains they would give jeff his own show alongside the alaska gold guys 🎉❤
This made me tear up a bit when the miners prayer came up immediately after TTTTanaka was done speaking. Just saying,Thanks for all you and Lila do. You have touched so many peoples hearts and dreams. RIP Good Sir.
@weedfreer The Gentleman speaking right before the miner's prayer was Thomas the tank Tanaka. He passed away sometime after this was filmed. Great guy! the whole ending of this vid and the Mark Twain quote hit me straight in the heart. Jeff and Lila. Much Love
The miners prayer was no joke. Others got maimed. OIthers got silicosis. There is a learning curve and the old timers knowledge was worth there weight in gold. Saying like only the strong survive and many others ment a lot. Life was hard for those miners. Life is hard for miners today . In countries where there are not protections people suffer just like the old days.
Boy does seem like a blast!! I’ve been a fan for a couple years now and never get tired of watching you guys. I’m an above the knee amputee and struggling with whether I’d be able to go under ground and mine . I keep telling myself I could but I do have my doubts. Hence I mine vicariously through you guys . Be safe and find lots of gold…
Great video Jeff. The miner’s prayer reminds me of my mentor Tim. He died on my claims, doing what he loved. I truly believe he is with me every time I’m up there. In silent lucidity. Good gold hunting to you all! Be safe in those drifts. Take care.
Absolutely beautiful Jeff, the joy of finding gold, the hard work even if using equipment a lot lighter than the old miners. Then adding the miners prayer. I am glad there were no injuries except the aches and pains of muscles being used in odd positions. Thank you again for sharing.
Wow ! Those are amazing colored samples ! Gets my heart pounding !! Gotta be some shiny in there for sure ! 👍 This mine appears very workable. We smashed that LIKE button real hard !! Thanks Brother Jeff ! 🤠⛏️⚒️👍
Mornin' Jeff & Lila! Workin' in a gold mine, goin' down, down, so you can, shiv your timbers. Frank & Sharon are back exploring mines again, for winter fun.
Jeff I’ve been a patron supporter for years and have watched so many of your videos but this one really hit me hard. Not sure why. Thanks for what you do!
Jeff, you are a legend in the gold mining for the common folk. I can't say that I've heard of anyone else doing a hard rock mining hands on tour plus everyone gets the gold thay worked hard for. Legend
Great memorial at the end, my brother, and that includes all miners! One of the most dangerous professions, and the most thankless! Coal mining family, and generations back, but dad was the last, as both me and my brother were framers!
RAD🤙🏻… I used too tour the world in a Rock band, lived in L.A.. Now I’m a Gold Rocker, swinging Detectors instead of Guitars.. Living in Az. Right on Jeff🤙🏻
Loved the show. I wish I was 30 years younger and in better health. I'd be right there doing what you do. I grew up going prospecting with my dad. Prospecting myself for years. Long before UA-cam existed. I know of places nobody else knows about. And of several old mines that are not now in wilderness protected areas that would be great to record like Jeff has done.
Your amazing i have one mine and its all i can do to keep up you open old mine or out finding new opportunities and running a UA-cam channel and the many other things you do your an amazing person Jeff i wish i had half your energy.
I remember chatting with Jeff on the old GPAA chat room pages when he was just getting all this started he was always a great person to chat with, always willing to help and give advice it just goes to show what type of person he is Love the Content Jeff keep it going....Sempr
Jeff, you are a man’s man, and you really make learning about geology really fun! Thank you for taking us along on your journey with every video. The excitement you exude make them so inspiring.
Good one Jeff , and the good crew of men working their , everyone helping each other , keeping a eye on each other . and it good you look after their safety and well-being . From fall rocks and ect , I hope all of you find a lot more gold , you have all work hard for it .

Hard desicions and mistakes it not the same for a combat veteran. I do respect them and have lost my mind before and thats truly hell. Thank-you for your service and glad you made it back.
Jeff. Oh my goodness is something I've said for years. It means this moment or spot in time of ones life is worth notation. Remarkable. That that mine isn't in full production. Second thing is. Newmont hasn't blasted it open into a hole in the ground. (Open pit). I'm not knocking newmont. I've seen their reclamation of a mine south of Carlin. I was totally impressed. Yes the mountains gone. But the pit was filled in and planted. Beautiful I'm very impressed with your gold recovery. I really wish I could turn back the clock. Time is the constant we all share. We only have so much here on this 3rd rock from sol. Lol❤😂 great vid
I'd like to come out there and try it. I have a hunger to mine for gold the old school way. And I can't think of a better person to do that with. Love your shows. Wish I had the money to get myself out there and hang out with you. Your attitude and character is contagious and I want so much to spend some time with you mining gold.
I agree. Even a battery opperated drill will kick your ass by the end of a day.i i know cause i used them to drill holes in concret and then pound in anchores to hang straps and cables.
