This took place 20 years ago today. Such fond memories. Thanks for posting this video.
30 now 🤯
Speechless... :o
Huh, so they actually _did_ light the torch that way. Thought the SNES game was just embellishing it…
tak, to prawda, tak właśnie miało być
Maybe this is another Mandela effect scenario but I could swear I remember the ski jumper flying past the cauldron and lighting it in mid air with the torch.
Lay off the drugs he never flew past the cauldron to light it
That would’ve been more epic
Well they did get an arrow flying over the cauldron to light it 2 years before this at Barcelona, but not quite an entire person. It would've been really cool if what you've mentioned actually happened, but VERY challenging to get it right. Still this was Lillehammer's little 'Barcelona moment'!
A follow up to the Flaming arrow
One of the iconic Olympics Flame moment!
Super! Czy to prawda, że miał skakać Ole Gunnar Fidjestøl, ale miał upadek podczas próby i Gruben go zastępował?
Yeah
Most Memorable and creative!
Why is the music so ominous to start? I feel like a bond villian is preparing for something nefarious.
The whole music score( *Varder* by Arne Nordheim) for this Olympic torch/cauldron sequence for some reason is exceptionally intense and scary, and it isn't available to buy anywhere despite the fact that it was composed almost a decade earlier!
How do you that THE FIRST TIME?
Next to the arrow in Barcelona this is weak weak weak
it is quite spectacluar actually
I was expecting the one that ski jumps will jump over the cauldron and light the torch there
