Apparently, according to the creator, Alex Hirsch. Disney forbade Gravity Falls from having any cannon LGBT characters, so he put in characters like the two cops and others who could be read as LGBT but were not explicitly so.
also, in a later episode, theres a matchmaker who wanted to find a woman for another woman. Creator Alex Hirsch really insisted on it but Disney wouldn't air it, so alex had to change it to a woman-man couple.
@@mere6789 also Star Vs the forces of evil. It got cancel and the last season was affected. The later half was rushed and it was clear that there was missing context and scenes.
The Nickelodeon show "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" had a good episode in it about an invisible pool demon, that creeped me out as a kid, so yes, you could definitely make a horror based around a swimming pool.
My only real issue with the show is that it’s always Dipper that sacrifices things for Mabel and anytime he does something selfish it’s treated as a lesson he has to learn whereas Mabel gets away with being way more selfish all the time
@@jonasquinn7977 he mainly sacrifices stuff to do with his crush on wendy though, which was never going to work out anyway. i hate that people keep pushing this as if he's sacrificing an arm and a leg for her every episode or something

It doesn’t matter that Dipper was never going to get with Wendy because he doesn’t know that and those things matter to him and even if the things he gives up aren’t massive things it’s still a constant cycle of Dipper giving up things that he wants or make him happy for Mabels sake and her never doing the same
@@jonasquinn7977 see, maybe it’s the big sister in me, because i’ve never understood this particular complaint. the fact is, dipper loves mabel so much that her happiness is his own; his actions of sacrifice on her behalf are freely chosen. the key assertion o have to address here is that “dipper sacrifices a lot for mabel, while she only seems to sacrifice her sock-puppet show for him.” i imagine that viewers come to the conclusion that dipper has the losing end because, when they compare dipper’s problems to mabel’s, they see dipper’s as more serious. dipper has a crush he can’t shake (relatable), mabel is gaga over a pig she just saw at the fair (less relatable); dipper is pursuing the latest lead in his search for the author (important), mabel is rigging up an elaborate puppet show to impress the Boy of the Week (unimportant). yet the show is always keenly aware that mabel’s problems, as trivial as they may seem to us, are as important to her as dipper’s are to him. he’s a fair-minded guy, not one to take the fall without good reason - when he operates against her in the time traveler’s pig, he does so on the assumption that her pig is an enthusiasm of the moment and that his love for wendy is permanent. when he realizes that losing waddles will truly hurt her, he doesn’t hesitate to help her. and when he does, mabel *knows* this wasn’t easy for him and she’s ready to show him how much it means to her. she tackles him in sheer strength of feeling. she lifts him right off his feet and it's adorable. not every relationship has to be transactional. sometimes you do nice things for someone you love because you love them, not because you expect to be paid back. dipper has years to get a girlfriend, but he can never get another mabel.

A little suggestion for you : If you want to see a good movie that can make your whole body and mind shaking to its core, then I STRONGLY (and I repeat it again, STRONGLY!) suggesting you to see a movie called MIRACLE IN CELL NO 7. This movie is sooo good even I still can't move on from this one, and I personally think this movie is wayyy more touching than All Of Us Dead, Train To Busan, or any Korean movies and series that l've watched before. Another interesting fact is that the actor who played as Lord Cho Hak-ju in Kingdom is the main protagonist of the movie. I'm pretty sure as hell you will be totally shock to see his performance in that movie and also upset when you watch it. You don't believe me? Then go watch it for yourselves, I DARE YOU NOW! Important detail: After Dipper saves Mermandos life, how does Mabel repay him? Making fun of Dipper, shooting a photo and getting excited about the opportunity to blackmail him in the future. And afterwards Dipper gives up his dream job for Mabel. What a wonderful sister Mabel is.
Dude chill, Dipper obly went for that job bcuz of Wendy, and at the end they both got fired. And the blackmail one, dawg they're siblings people with siblings do that it's relatable but there was no evil intention with that just normal siblings stuff. and at the end Dipper got to hang out with Wendy

@nairagar I mean the reason why Dipepr got the job doesn’t matter, Mabel easily could have not cost Dipper the job but actively chose to inconvenience him and even after Dipper finds out her secret and gives up his job to help her she still takes advantage of him and makes fun of him Mabel is by no means a bad person but one of the shows few failings is that while Dipper is regularly shown to be a good sibling the same can’t be said for her
