Borderlands 2: Farming Digistruct for a Pearlescent Jakobs Godfinger, an Infinity, and Quasar

- Digistruct Peak is a unique and challenging quest added by the second Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade pack. It is fairly lengthy, and upon completion allows for access of 'over power levels'. These OP levels allow one to level up enemies up to eight levels above them making the game more challenging and fun. This run is at OP 8, or the final difficulty.
Digistruct Peak enemies do not resist corrosive damage, and my two main damaging weapons are a corrosive Pimpernel and Lyuda. I am using a Legendary sniper class mod for most of the video. I do use a Chaotic Neutral Rogue com at certain times in order to stack Critical Ascension. I am also using the Chere-Amie to get my health back when needed in combination with my Slag O-Negative grenade.
OMGWTH always drops a Pearlescent rarity item, so I figured he'd be a solid place to farm the Godfinger, which is a Pearlescent Jakobs sniper rifle.
In this video, I am able to find a decent Infinity and Quasar during my looking for a Godfinger. It takes three runs through Digistruct, but I am eventually able to get OMGWTH to drop a nice Godfinger for us.

That first run is the reason why i always carry a corrosive norfleet or topnea in my inventory, I almost never use them on the peak but it's better to be overprepared than underprepared
For whatever it's worth, I learned to bring a Topneea to the Peak with me most of the time.

I dunno 8 isn't my favorite number. I find multiplying by 8's pretty difficult.

Actually, I believe you got Vladof scope, which actually probably goes better than the Jakobs for overall appearance and sight picture.
On that last run he got a good amount of loot actually. he even got a shredifier from one of the bone heads but obviously didn’t see it and passed it up, I’d say that was a pretty good one haha

Isn't there a console command that kills all nearby enemies? I wouldn't be against using that for the surveyor.

I've tried resetting the black market through gibbed and the python script thing but both seems to have been fixed. Cheat Engine maybe?

Wait, is scope on Godfinger from a Jakobs? I guess Jakobs scope have "circle with changing zoom" on the right side. I think you got Vladof scope, because when you zoom you can see word "Убийства" on the left line that comes from the center of dot. Only Vladof using Russian words in his scopes, also "Убийства" means "Kills". Correct me, if I'm not right.
The only reason I know that the one with 4 lenses is the Jakobs scope is because of the post-ending cutscene in the Claptastic Voyage DLC. Hammerlock uses a Muckamuck with a Jakobs grip and stock in it, so I made the jump that the sight was also Jakobs.

Fiber, you have any tips on how to deal with the slag centurion spiderants with melee zero easily? I wanna die every time i see one because they always kill me. I’d guess a Lyuda because pimpernel doesn’t work against them for me.
Pimpernel does wonder against those things. It's the Lyuda that has problems because you need to be behind the Spiderant for Lyuda to be effective. If you're shooting from the front, aim at the edge of Spiderant's left leg to ensure the projectiles hit, and also make sure you don't have any points in Vel0city.
As Melee Zer0, throw deception, get behind it, and do an execute on its thorax. That should always work.
The Friendliest Penguin From Antartica i have this problem where even if I’m right behind it and hit right in the thorax it doesn’t register as a crit then deception goes away and I’m in a very bad situation. Also there was one time where i almost beat OP8 Peak on melee zero for my first time and i only died because saturns surveyors went after me instead of the decoy as i thought i was safe and also didn’t have the best bore luck. Woulda been an easy win because once you’re past assassins and Saturn the rest is cake.
did the community patch also increase sniper hip fire accuracy? or does op8 give the lyuda extra hip fire accuracy? I play console and my crosshairs have a much larger gap inbetween them >.>

And if so, what's your opinion of that game? You seem to appreciate games that are well made, and in _my_ opinion, Breath of the Wild is very much one of those games. So I guess I'm just curious. yeah hi I play Borderlands 2 on my Xbox360 you're the only latest video I can find how to activate my crystals on Borderlands 2 so when I kill someone I'll pick them up at the moment I play Borderlands 2 and when I kill the bad guys is no crystals for out of them
I don't know if it's just a thing with GOTYs, but Borderlands 2 and TESV : Skyrim probably have the most amount of bugs, exploits and glitches of all the games i've played. Maybe it's because the game is huge and there are a lot of fancy maths and calculations hard and soft coded into the game, but those 2 games seems like the game you're most likely to break by simply casually playing them.
Idk, maybe i just played both games enough to experience them? I have 1.5k hours on BL2 and 2k hours on Skyrim.
Probably because they're open world, but if you're not actively trying to cause bugs and/or use exploits, the latest version of SKSE doesn't really bug out the same way as the older ones (And i don't count visual bugs, only gameplay ones). If you simply play through the game casually, they're about the same.
So far, what i found from BL2 are :
- Terra tentacles bug (the game spawns a second Terra for the actual fight, while the first one is the one you saw emerging from the gate. The first one might attack you from below the map after you kill the second one).
- BNK3R not dying at the proper place if you kill him before he's above the archway (usually happens when i b0re him, sometimes).
- Tector Hodunk turning invincible after you kill Jimbo
- If you kill the assassins before they emerge, the ECHO recorder will be stuck inside their spawnpoint, requiring you to re-enter the map.
- Loot Midget JET Loaders can clip through roofs and walls.
- If you're riding on a vehicle and you drive over a pool of slag you might get permaslagged until you exit and reload the game.
- Slagging enemies in digistruct peak or control core angel before they fully materialize will make them immune to slag.
As for Skyrim :
- Getting locked out a merchant's door during business hours
- Penitus Oculatus helm/Falmer hood and Circlets stack
- Sometimes you don't absorb a dragon's soul after you kill one
- Having a quest marker point outside of Riften and exiting through Riften backdoor will point the quest to Riften instead of the actual destination
- Some vendors might be permanently closed under certain circumstances until you fast travel away and back again
- You might kill essentials if you one-shot them with damage way above their health threshold
Those are some of the bugs that happen almost regularly during my playthrough of both games. I do a lot of farming in BL2 so that's probably why i experienced the bugs with some bosses more frequent than others.
I think maybe you could have grenade jumped over the wall to get to the binary boss. Saves having to kill the surveyor stuck in the wall.

I thought two fer was basically trash on the Maggie due to it only adding 2 pellets and not doubling the damage.
TurtleSnipers Double never doubles a guns damage because it reduce the damage of the individual rounds and the Maggie gains 4 pellets not 2
ChiseledAura 66 I’m going off what I know, and I completely spaced that Maggie was 6x instead of 8x. Either way two fer Maggie still is one of the worst in terms of damage
Go get a Topnea from the Snowman for the enemies that get stuck.

The community patch has allowed second generation pearls to drop, but it doesn't drop two at once.
I jumped the gap and farmed OMGWTH 487 times. All I got was butchers avengers and unforgiven

This is a question for anyone. What would be good parts for kittens to run on a hybrid zer0 build? Maliwan barrel or grip? Planning to just gib them
If you're using Zer0, a Swift prefix is preferrable to the Ferocious one due to it minimizing the spread and synergizes well with Vel0city and Precisi0n.

I'd probably run the fire and corrosive with Swift and the shock with either ferocious or resolute. Having a slag kitten is optional. Personally i'd rather use a slag bladed pimpernel due to its much better slagging capability. Consider that if you don't mind skipping the melee lifesteal.
The Friendliest Penguin From Antartica I'll probably run a slag transfusion. I'm just going to get all four just to try a new play style with zer0. The advice is appreciated tho. Definitely something to keep in mind. Obviously I could use a grog with the bladed accessory for health as well
You should farm for a norfleet so if another enemy get stuck in the wall you can easily kill them.
A Topneaa or PBFG will do the job just fine.

Bro he was butchering all the parts of the weapons and everything after he got that godfinger 😂. So excited he can’t think. I got a godfinger from the boss and a sawbar and decided to throw them on maya and holy fucking shit the godfinger destroys like nothing and the sawbars is an amazing weapon with converge and ruin. Everything just dies.

Technically, since they’re all digistructed, they are all weak to corrosive damage. It’s weird, but neat at the same time.
