I lived in Sarasota during hurricane Andrew. I remember some of the zoo animals near Miami didn't make it. Hopefully, the zoo hurricane shelters in tampa hold up after what they learned with Andrew. We're all praying for the wonderful zoo staff and volunteers as well as the animals

Great that the animals in zoos are being protected - as they should be. But it’s just insane and atrocious that the people who are in prison aren’t getting nearly the same care as these animals are.
These events can cause the extinction of endangered species - and trigger evolution. It happened years ago that a hurricane devastated a certain island - the only iguanas that survived were the ones with arms strong enough to grab a tree and don't get flown away by the wind. Their descendants inherited the trait. But, if the wind is stronger than the local iguanas (or any other critter), they are lost. This story is in a episode of the Biology course in the channel Crash Course. Check it, I'm surely wrong at some details.
Those animals are all gonna die. It's so sad but how and where would they move them all? And why is more aide allocated to foreign emergencies but not for domestic. Lebanon is smaller than our southeast and so is Ukraine so why are they giving Billions to them and only a few million for our citizens? And then I hear that these people can apply for LOANS to help them! They have to pay the government back?! Is Ukraine or Lebanon paying us back?! Our government is screwing us over and all you people voting for democrats are letting them continue to abuse us.
