Not bad, but could ruin everything the forza devs went for in Mexico. They went for a country with a lot of nature and culture to discover through the wild with statues, temples, and relics from the past. Adding a modern airport literally in the jungle would look out of place.
@@Mat_D_ I get what your saying but I still believe updating the strip like we used to get with the festival's in older horizon games, I'm not saying het rid of the culture I live driving and seeing it, but maybe some fresh tarmac on the strip and a few people down the side of the strip to give it a lively feeling not just grass and old planes. I've been playing FH4 the last couple of days and have noticed that many details are just downgraded in FH5. The main example I can think of is the backfire sound/visual effects. Well, I kinda like the new VFX on FH5 because of how "quick" it is and it feels more natural, but I have no idea why they got rid of all the variety in the backfire sounds, there used to be like 5 or more different sounds for the exhaust pops which depended on the type of car and even the exhaust the car had installed

What annoys me the most? STREET RACING The "Street Racing"" in Forza is the dumbest most boring thing I've ever seen in a racing game. It always goes like this: "Hey Jake" "Hi Paul" "Say, my friend, you want to participate in some very secret races going down? :D" "Why yes Paul :) I DO" And then the actual race, literally the most positive racing with with the most positive soundtrack ever. why the actual hell am i listening to opera in this race with cars going at completely legal speed? Look, if you aren't gonna do it right, JUST DON'T DO IT! :0 crazy i know.
To me, horizon 5's map also feels very desolate because of the overall lack of manmade structures compared to the previous titles. I think H5 feels more like a reskin of H4 with a different setting. The lack of game changing features is what is making the series feel repetitive now.
the thing is, Forza NEVER listen to what we ask, they add maybe one or two tiny features the players ask for every game to disguise the fact they’ve done nothing else, and then add mostly recycled new cars, like the AMG GT.
Forza does listen, its just they *cannot* add a lot of what People ask for, Because a lot of what People ask for is either: 1. Just not Possible under a PEGI 3 Age Rating such as "Diving" Pedestrians, actual Antagonists. more Realistic/Aggressive "Street" Dialogue , etc, all of which would Hike the Age Rating to either a PEGI 12 or even a PEGI 16. while MS has now all but *Mandated* a 3 under its New Corporate Policy for Forza, so they cannot add those elements. 2. is either not Possible, or would cause severe Performance issues, on Base Xbox One/S , such as a Big Modern City , as seen with Surfers Paradise, which is *Still* , even with *all* the performance Patches added on, Dropping to 8 or 9 Frames per Second ("Failure to Perform") on those Systems, the Systems *really* Struggle with that Setting. 3. cannot be supported by the Current, *downright Elderly* , 2011 Vintage, "Forzatech M" Graphics Engine, such as 1080 Degree Steering Lock. or 4. would Result in Licencing Issues so severe that it would cause *Multiple* Car brands to Remove their Licences! such as Window Stickers, Neon's, Air Bag Suspension, Interior Removal, Exhaust Tips, Nitrous, more Street Racing, etc, Car Companies just don't want to be Associated with Street Racing and Street Customisation in Games anymore (to the Point that, although I am in *no way* Suggesting this has happened, as I do not know, I would not be in the Least bit Surprised if Street Scene might *possibly* be why a "Certain Italian Company" has removed its licence!) as it is Damaging to their PR images to be seen associating with such things in Games. Playground are listening, but their hands are *very* Tied by the Limitations of an Ageing Graphics engine and Extremely Underpowered Base hardware, and, even *if* FH6 goes over to F-tech and "Series Consoles and High end PC only" on Supported hardware, there hands will *Still* be tied by an *increasingly* Strict Requirements Set for the PEGI 3 Age Rating, City Councils who are getting more and more reluctant to have their Cities Landmarks Replicated in Games, and Car Companies who are becoming Extremely Concerned about Gaming actually being Bad for their PR images and becoming ever more Restrictive on Customisation and Street Racing Elements in their Licence Deals. I hope that Explains the Situation Playground is up against, and why they often, actually, *cannot* give us what we Want. Also, the Returning of Recycled Cars like the GTS is because Microsoft has forced Live Services into a Game with *nowhere Near* Enough content to Support such a System, so it has to be "padded out" with a lot of Recycled Content.. Blame MS on that One. Peace.
To me Fh5 just does not feel like fh3, fh3 felt so much more vibrant and adventurous in a way. fh5 feels dead and I'm not just talking about the cities. I thought fh5 might be a mix of fh2 and fh3 in terms of atmosphere but I don't think it is anymore. Its presentation is so much less exaggerated to achieve a realistic look and it makes the game so much duller. This is one of the reasons I think fh5 is the worst horizon on top of the fact that the map is incredibly empty and boringly designed if you forget about the multiple biomes, and even fh4 felt much more alive. Fh5 is really making me lose hope for this franchise, it lost so much of its charm. I was really hyped for this game and it did not deliver, I'm not making the same mistake for fh6. Like it's really disappointing that when looking at your comparisons to fh3, fh5 looks so dull. Horizon should be radiating with energy and life (yes I do think fh4 actually does a better job at this than fh5, especially with its seasons, which is the reason I feel fh4 feels more "horizon" than fh5 even though fh5 tries harder at it at a surface level). It should be an exciting summer event, (yes seasons should have ended after fh4) but fh5 feels lifeless and stripped of the horizon identity.
@@bo55abu Yeah that might be true for the core gameplay, but it's such a far cry from the series that it's disappointing enough for me to say I really don't like it. I have never played Forza Horizon 5 and got as invested as I did playing the other horizons, the map and atmosphere are just so off. Plus it just feels so uninspired (which you can say about the map design) and barely innovates which just makes it even worse.
I think a problem with the map is that the locations aren't that interesting to drive around, and their aesthetic gets boring after a while. The festivals in the game are not as big and impressive as the older games.
Another problem is drift zones, when you are cruising, you still have the flags everywhere and it just honestly ruins it, even if you don’t activate the drift zone the flags are still there which kinda sucks tbh
Also i realized how forza can add indicators blinkers, by removing link it's possible to add indicators. by using the left d-pad button for indicators instead of link
Link is useless..Especially when you want to map something to the link button but can't because it's necessary for multiplayer even if you don't have Xbox live.
I feel like fh4 just had way more of an identity than fh5. When I play 4 I feel like I’m in a social environment rather than a barren land by myself like when I play 5.

my only thought for why the interior are not 3d is because, due to the increased map size, if they put actual interiors it would make it unplayable on xbox one. fh3 similarities are understandable as well the Australia was very diverse and had everything in it, so when they tried to make a diverse map it was inevitable it looked like Australia. i do like abandoned places in the game, but the airstrip is the wrong place to do it, a new airstrip would be better. overall your points agree with. very good video

It's just the recycled template which annoys me, FH4 and FH5 is built using the same template that they used to create Forza Horizon 3 - Other than that, I'd like them to add a modern city and elements that were seen in Horizon Australia as it was a great map imo 🤷🏾♂️

As has been Confirmed by Mike Brown, on Live Stream, during the FH4 Era (IIRC it was the Stream when they showed off Super Seven) Microsoft has now *all but mandated* a PEGI 3 Rating as Per its Corporate Policy for Forza going forward. "Pedestrian Peril" of the Kind seen in The Crew 2 is Grounds for a PEGI 12 Rating, , as it is *Required* under a 3 Rating that the Players Car cannot, in *any way shape or form* Access an Area where Pedestrian NPC's are present, meaning they *cannot* do that, as it would put the Age Rating up above a 3, and it would not Comply with Microsoft Corporate Policy for the Forza Franchise. Mike Brown openly said as much explaining why Crowds are always behind Crash Barriers or Invisible Walls in an FH4 Live Stream. Sorry to bear bad News. Peace.
You bring up some good points. As a guy who drives manual and uses the sound of the engine to shift, I find that the audio levels are really bad in FH5. Especially in the Hot Wheels expansion. The cars around you are louder than the car you are sitting in and some things in the environment are way too loud.
As someone else already gave an example of; having the locations in the game uptade and upgrade throughout the lifespan of the game and throughout our progression would be awesome. Perhaps even an open area in the map where we build the biggest festival ever; one the size of a city with actual buildings and skyscrapers etc. after all, in theory, the mexico festival has been around for many ‘years’ now (with the seasons changing in game every week) so having a huge festival upgrade to something the size of a city could be absolutely awesome. Some other examples are: - Upgrading the abandoned airport (someone already suggested this) - upgrading an old temple (Could be a fake one to avoid rights problems) - The roads in general - other suff

With the player Avatars too, all the clothing options and personalisation I wish they would give us something to do. Even just a social/walkaround share Forza Vista car meet type thing, have meetup cars and coffee and hang out and pop hoods on cars.
Forza does this thing were they cycle between desert and tropical region between two games. FH1, FH3 and FH5 all have a desert theme. While FH2, FH4 and FH6(Japan probably) all have a tropical themes
Another small issue that annoy me in FH5 is the drivatars and the lack of npc traffic. I think there should be a setting were you can remove drivatars when offline because they're so annoying when you want to cruise alone and a random car pops out of nowhere or they could make them more clever. Also, they should add more car models for npcs because I see too many beetles when driving and they should add more traffic because when cruising on the highway it feels so empty

2:11 I wouldn't really say the game is bug free because each time I turn off launch control it comes back on the second I quit the game and come back and after this NASCAR update if you use manual with clutch a bug will force the car to down shift with no input from the player and the only way for that to stop is to fight the bug by shifting up one gear.
Oh and if you spawn into a solo race against AI the car the player drives will randomly have its transmission set to reverse before the player even has full control of their ride and that's just on console.
Cant you disable all the pop ups, if you just filter all out of map? I might be wrong, but I believe if you just filter everything out when in map menu, then it shouldnt be showing up on the map and in the game as well...
@@YuwanThayakaran Nah, unfortunatelly it doesnt work, it only clears your map and minimap. Maybe it was a thing in FH4? Im almost sure I used to do this.
in regards to the pop ups, I believe (did it by accident) in the map, if you change your filters for events, locations etc, it actually effects your Minimap and the world as well. so if you hide everything, it should eliminate the pop ups, not 100% sure about pr stunts tho like the flashing from speed cameras edit: you can hide players from the map as well, unfortunately it does not hide them from your world tho
The whole pedestrian thing might’ve been a performance issue. I rather have the solid 4K 60 than add a bunch of pedestrians and watch performance tank I mean the environments look gorgeous and the cars look very good too I prefer they keep it that way
The one thing Horizon 5 lacks the most in my opinion is realism. Horizon 3 had so much realism in it and I was able to roleplay with freinds while in Horizon 5 its difficult to roleplay or even create realistic gameplay.
yeah i was quite dissapointed with the game. I played FH 2,3,4 on the console and i got the FH5 on pc. I don´t know who tought it is a good idea to not save the graphics settings when you restart the game like "hi we think you are really incompetent to set your own graphics settings so here is this nonsense we chose" And when you finaly set the graphics, next time you load the game up it doesn´t save your settings. Videogames had this for decades. And the videoglitches: the checkpoint smokes in streetracing look like a bunch of sqares, the same think happens with the tiresmoke and dirt particles, when you go trough the tunel the sudenly becomes dark and the tunel is lit up like there is no tunel at all. texture loading issues (even with enough Vram) And the problems are still there. I heard the console versions are better. I don´t know if the previous games were like this on pc, but it is really a shame because they know the problems are there yet i still encounter the same glitches from the day one.
The first one you did the reason why is because you can 1: check if your livery is available before you buy the car 2: there is a bug were you can’t see how many downloads your livery has 3: (this is for your second one) the reason it is 5mil is it was a festival playlist car you needed to do 80% of the festival

I do believe they chose Mexico out of laziness it didn’t require as much attention to detail as they claim. Mexico isn’t a particularly relevant country that people care about (I’m Mexican BTW) they showed a very liberal and cringy idealized version of Mexico that isn’t very authentic. Japan for example needs to be done with care and they probably weren’t willing to do it until the player base is fully or mostly on the new consoles. Or again cus they’re lazy
Microsoft is very woke, I wonder if Mexico was chosen for political reasons ? Or to have Horizon set in a none white people country ? They ended up making Mexico look boring and run down, they did the country no justice at all in my opinion.The airport is too run down and should have been less abandoned looking, it is the most interesting place on the map, but it looks crappy. I also see no wildlife on the land or birds in the sky.

one of my biggest flex’s in this game is not upgrading the festivals, they ruin the map’s atmosphere and just make a waste of the space, and ruin the roads with blue flags and stunt ramps.
I had good expectations about this game but I think I exceeded that, FH5 has a boring map even more than FH3 map but FH3 map had better aesthetics and atmosphere, and yes the exclusive car system is annoying, I never liked the festival playlist system since it was implemented in FH4, I hate PR stunts and it is more of a task than fun to have to complete the festival playlist to get the exclusive cars, I would like to have another option to get those cars apart from the auction house, festival playlist… For me FH2 will continue to be the best forza horizon, FH3 was also very good, in fact it was the last great Horizon
Lol At first the Playlist was way to grindy and annoying BUT now It only takes you 30 min per week to get enough points for the Exclusiv vehicle now, cause 20 points can be easily speed runned by playing the trial and two seasonal championships so that argument doesn’t count
My main problem is forza is trying to recreate unicorn cars and doing it wrong. After a car is unlocked, it should be put on the autoshow. If you dont unlock the car in the playlist, and you buy it in the auction house, after that it should be available in the autoshow. Old Unicorn cars from like FM4 and other games were different because they were special versions of cars of cars already in the game. There's no reason why the Toyota Celica qnd the AE86 are only available on the auction house or in the forzathon shop or wheelspins

I think the truth is Forza Horizon was competing with Test Drive unlimited and to steer the customer base towards them they actually put alot of features and details and atmosphere into the earlier iterations of horizon. Even then they didnt have what TDU2 had. But now that TDU is no more they don't see the need to actually build upon their previously demanding consumer base because they are now "The only gig in town"...

Every car that isn’t a barn find or Forza Edition (FE) should be in the autoshow. Money should also be rewarded based on how long and difficult a race is instead of randomising credits behind wheelspins
The only way to make big money is through use of the auction house. Anything short of that, and you will be grinding for so long that you'll be too sick of playing to do anything.
One thing you mentioned in a previous video is the transition from FH2 to FH3 is the template for the game felt new and modernized. Fh1 and 2 even felt modernized. Fh3 seems the most modern to present day. It seems like they've gone backwards like in Horizon 4 everything feels old too like in Horizon 5. This needs to be fixed but you know it won't. The developers are so lazy and unmotivated now it's not gonna happen.
I personally love the atmosphere and older style buildings in Fh5 but we definitely need some better hangout spots like the parking lot and gas station from Fh3
This game is a boring glorified technical demo, and this is from someone with hundreds of hours spend across ALL Horizon and Motorsport titles each. I'm still so disappointed in the lack of a city in FH5. The world feels so lifeless due to it. FH5 has.. a tiny area smaller than a suburb as a "city", with terribly shaped streets, obnoxious houses, and 0 traffic. This isn’t Surfers Paradise or Byron Bay. This isn’t all the villages in the UK or Edinburgh (which is MASSIVE), and this isn’t FH2’s beautiful coastal towns perfect for picture mode. It’s a shame they chose Mexico, when so many other places suffice... Germany, Japan, Canada, Russia, even China all have varied landscapes. But truly, FH5 should've been in Spain! Barcelona or Madrid as the city, and then you get to cruise into the big central region of Spain to find Monserrat Mountains, Tabernas Desert, the Irati forest, lavender fields, all the stunning valleys.. type in Spain Landscape, or Spain Valleys, or Spain Mountains, or Spain Fields, and you'll instantly hate the devs for this bland Mexico devoid of humans we instead have. Oh, and Spain has volcanos too! Not to bring up that it ran shoddy on my Xbone X with many resets required, audio glitches, the world just vanishing, etc. And the graphics are dogshit on PC, no idea why my PC that's way more powerful than my console can look worse maxed out that my Xbone X. At least I get over 60fps on PC, but FM7 get's 144fps with ease while this at mid settings is a solid 70. Draw distance is absolutely pathetic! Oh and the damn Horizon Arcade, lol, that shit's dead. In FH4, you'd go to it and there'd be 7 cars parked up waiting to go, now you'll see it and everyone's at the airstrip instead avoiding them. I don't think I've ever seen more than 1 car besides myself doing one, and with such low numbers, they're impossible to solo complete. Oh, you're speeding down the central highway? Oops! You just drove through the outer rim of an Arcade (with no one else in it), enjoy your new GPS waypoint being set, GET TO THE DESTINATION, LOSER! And the Speed Zones, far out they get annoying. Randomly change the driving line off of where it was, while also not ignoring where you wanted to go, so you finish it only to see you need to turn around as you missed the corner thanks to the new pathing! The worst Horizon to date, which is a shame seeing as it's gotten some good new features like the revving in the workshop (and that's about it). Serious lack of aspiration conversions on a lot of cars. Want to supercharge your NA BMW V8? Lol, sorry kid, you can only get twin turbos around here! Oh no, you can't engine swap your V6 Cadillac! But sure, throw a quad rotor into a Corvette!
I wouldn't go so far as to say that FH5's graphics are that much better than 3. Sure, if you look closely, 5 is more detailed. But if you turn up the settings of 3 completely on the pc, it still looks pretty damn good....
I would say that fh5's textures are better but as a whole visually? Fh3 and fh2 look far better, they had such a more alive feel. Fh5 visually is just graphics with no other substance, just good graphics that aren't all that exciting.

Agree with the Pop ups and the lack of people in the city. One other thing that personally annoys me, you just want to go for a hoon off-road? you flying across the map though the forest or across the fields then out of the blue a Trail Blazer pops up at the last second and it activates it or your driving along just cruising listening to you music having fun and a Horizon Arcade is across the road your on, so you have to pause the game to see how long it has to start. if its long enough you can carry on and drive though it, 8 seconds left, you have to wait or turn around.
They should let us upgrade the airport drag strip when we progress through the game, they could add that to other parts of the game.

the thing is, Forza NEVER listen to what we ask, they add maybe one or two tiny features the players ask for every game to disguise the fact they’ve done nothing else, and then add mostly recycled new cars, like the AMG GT.
Forza does listen, its just they *cannot* add a lot of what People ask for, Because a lot of what People ask for is either:
1. Just not Possible under a PEGI 3 Age Rating such as "Diving" Pedestrians, actual Antagonists. more Realistic/Aggressive "Street" Dialogue , etc, all of which would Hike the Age Rating to either a PEGI 12 or even a PEGI 16. while MS has now all but *Mandated* a 3 under its New Corporate Policy for Forza, so they cannot add those elements.
2. is either not Possible, or would cause severe Performance issues, on Base Xbox One/S , such as a Big Modern City , as seen with Surfers Paradise, which is *Still* , even with *all* the performance Patches added on, Dropping to 8 or 9 Frames per Second ("Failure to Perform") on those Systems, the Systems *really* Struggle with that Setting.
3. cannot be supported by the Current, *downright Elderly* , 2011 Vintage, "Forzatech M" Graphics Engine, such as 1080 Degree Steering Lock.
or 4. would Result in Licencing Issues so severe that it would cause *Multiple* Car brands to Remove their Licences! such as Window Stickers, Neon's, Air Bag Suspension, Interior Removal, Exhaust Tips, Nitrous, more Street Racing, etc, Car Companies just don't want to be Associated with Street Racing and Street Customisation in Games anymore (to the Point that, although I am in *no way* Suggesting this has happened, as I do not know, I would not be in the Least bit Surprised if Street Scene might *possibly* be why a "Certain Italian Company" has removed its licence!) as it is Damaging to their PR images to be seen associating with such things in Games.
Playground are listening, but their hands are *very* Tied by the Limitations of an Ageing Graphics engine and Extremely Underpowered Base hardware, and, even *if* FH6 goes over to F-tech and "Series Consoles and High end PC only" on Supported hardware, there hands will *Still* be tied by an *increasingly* Strict Requirements Set for the PEGI 3 Age Rating, City Councils who are getting more and more reluctant to have their Cities Landmarks Replicated in Games, and Car Companies who are becoming Extremely Concerned about Gaming actually being Bad for their PR images and becoming ever more Restrictive on Customisation and Street Racing Elements in their Licence Deals.
I hope that Explains the Situation Playground is up against, and why they often, actually, *cannot* give us what we Want.
Also, the Returning of Recycled Cars like the GTS is because Microsoft has forced Live Services into a Game with *nowhere Near* Enough content to Support such a System, so it has to be "padded out" with a lot of Recycled Content.. Blame MS on that One.

To me Fh5 just does not feel like fh3, fh3 felt so much more vibrant and adventurous in a way. fh5 feels dead and I'm not just talking about the cities. I thought fh5 might be a mix of fh2 and fh3 in terms of atmosphere but I don't think it is anymore. Its presentation is so much less exaggerated to achieve a realistic look and it makes the game so much duller. This is one of the reasons I think fh5 is the worst horizon on top of the fact that the map is incredibly empty and boringly designed if you forget about the multiple biomes, and even fh4 felt much more alive. Fh5 is really making me lose hope for this franchise, it lost so much of its charm. I was really hyped for this game and it did not deliver, I'm not making the same mistake for fh6. Like it's really disappointing that when looking at your comparisons to fh3, fh5 looks so dull. Horizon should be radiating with energy and life (yes I do think fh4 actually does a better job at this than fh5, especially with its seasons, which is the reason I feel fh4 feels more "horizon" than fh5 even though fh5 tries harder at it at a surface level). It should be an exciting summer event, (yes seasons should have ended after fh4) but fh5 feels lifeless and stripped of the horizon identity.

@@bo55abu Yeah that might be true for the core gameplay, but it's such a far cry from the series that it's disappointing enough for me to say I really don't like it. I have never played Forza Horizon 5 and got as invested as I did playing the other horizons, the map and atmosphere are just so off. Plus it just feels so uninspired (which you can say about the map design) and barely innovates which just makes it even worse.

I think a problem with the map is that the locations aren't that interesting to drive around, and their aesthetic gets boring after a while. The festivals in the game are not as big and impressive as the older games.

Another problem is drift zones, when you are cruising, you still have the flags everywhere and it just honestly ruins it, even if you don’t activate the drift zone the flags are still there which kinda sucks tbh
Also i realized how forza can add indicators blinkers, by removing link it's possible to add indicators. by using the left d-pad button for indicators instead of link
Link is useless..Especially when you want to map something to the link button but can't because it's necessary for multiplayer even if you don't have Xbox live.
I feel like fh4 just had way more of an identity than fh5. When I play 4 I feel like I’m in a social environment rather than a barren land by myself like when I play 5.
FH2 had the best atmosphere in my opinion. I really vibed to it. 3 was pretty good too but after that it fell off.
We need customizable exhaust tips. I hate putting body kits on cars only to find out they still have the stock exhaust tips.

No one really talks about this but the interior view on some cars are just so dark..even cars without windows or roofs like the BAC mono..
my only thought for why the interior are not 3d is because, due to the increased map size, if they put actual interiors it would make it unplayable on xbox one. fh3 similarities are understandable as well the Australia was very diverse and had everything in it, so when they tried to make a diverse map it was inevitable it looked like Australia. i do like abandoned places in the game, but the airstrip is the wrong place to do it, a new airstrip would be better. overall your points agree with. very good video

On Pedestrians. As has been Confirmed by Mike Brown, on Live Stream, during the FH4 Era (IIRC it was the Stream when they showed off Super Seven) Microsoft has now *all but mandated* a PEGI 3 Rating as Per its Corporate Policy for Forza going forward.
"Pedestrian Peril" of the Kind seen in The Crew 2 is Grounds for a PEGI 12 Rating, , as it is *Required* under a 3 Rating that the Players Car cannot, in *any way shape or form* Access an Area where Pedestrian NPC's are present, meaning they *cannot* do that, as it would put the Age Rating up above a 3, and it would not Comply with Microsoft Corporate Policy for the Forza Franchise.
Mike Brown openly said as much explaining why Crowds are always behind Crash Barriers or Invisible Walls in an FH4 Live Stream.

You bring up some good points. As a guy who drives manual and uses the sound of the engine to shift, I find that the audio levels are really bad in FH5. Especially in the Hot Wheels expansion. The cars around you are louder than the car you are sitting in and some things in the environment are way too loud.
They still haven't fixed the issue that causes yellow, orange, and green car paint to look faded and desaturated
As someone else already gave an example of; having the locations in the game uptade and upgrade throughout the lifespan of the game and throughout our progression would be awesome. Perhaps even an open area in the map where we build the biggest festival ever; one the size of a city with actual buildings and skyscrapers etc. after all, in theory, the mexico festival has been around for many ‘years’ now (with the seasons changing in game every week) so having a huge festival upgrade to something the size of a city could be absolutely awesome.
Some other examples are:
- Upgrading the abandoned airport (someone already suggested this)
- upgrading an old temple
(Could be a fake one to avoid rights problems)
- The roads in general
- other suff

With the player Avatars too, all the clothing options and personalisation I wish they would give us something to do. Even just a social/walkaround share Forza Vista car meet type thing, have meetup cars and coffee and hang out and pop hoods on cars.
Forza does this thing were they cycle between desert and tropical region between two games. FH1, FH3 and FH5 all have a desert theme. While FH2, FH4 and FH6(Japan probably) all have a tropical themes

Another small issue that annoy me in FH5 is the drivatars and the lack of npc traffic. I think there should be a setting were you can remove drivatars when offline because they're so annoying when you want to cruise alone and a random car pops out of nowhere or they could make them more clever. Also, they should add more car models for npcs because I see too many beetles when driving and they should add more traffic because when cruising on the highway it feels so empty

2:11 I wouldn't really say the game is bug free because each time I turn off launch control it comes back on the second I quit the game and come back and after this NASCAR update if you use manual with clutch a bug will force the car to down shift with no input from the player and the only way for that to stop is to fight the bug by shifting up one gear.
Oh and if you spawn into a solo race against AI the car the player drives will randomly have its transmission set to reverse before the player even has full control of their ride and that's just on console.
Cant you disable all the pop ups, if you just filter all out of map? I might be wrong, but I believe if you just filter everything out when in map menu, then it shouldnt be showing up on the map and in the game as well...

in regards to the pop ups, I believe (did it by accident) in the map, if you change your filters for events, locations etc, it actually effects your Minimap and the world as well. so if you hide everything, it should eliminate the pop ups, not 100% sure about pr stunts tho like the flashing from speed cameras
edit: you can hide players from the map as well, unfortunately it does not hide them from your world tho

The one thing Horizon 5 lacks the most in my opinion is realism. Horizon 3 had so much realism in it and I was able to roleplay with freinds while in Horizon 5 its difficult to roleplay or even create realistic gameplay.

yeah i was quite dissapointed with the game. I played FH 2,3,4 on the console and i got the FH5 on pc. I don´t know who tought it is a good idea to not save the graphics settings when you restart the game like "hi we think you are really incompetent to set your own graphics settings so here is this nonsense we chose" And when you finaly set the graphics, next time you load the game up it doesn´t save your settings. Videogames had this for decades. And the videoglitches: the checkpoint smokes in streetracing look like a bunch of sqares, the same think happens with the tiresmoke and dirt particles, when you go trough the tunel the sudenly becomes dark and the tunel is lit up like there is no tunel at all. texture loading issues (even with enough Vram) And the problems are still there. I heard the console versions are better. I don´t know if the previous games were like this on pc, but it is really a shame because they know the problems are there yet i still encounter the same glitches from the day one.

I do believe they chose Mexico out of laziness it didn’t require as much attention to detail as they claim. Mexico isn’t a particularly relevant country that people care about (I’m Mexican BTW) they showed a very liberal and cringy idealized version of Mexico that isn’t very authentic. Japan for example needs to be done with care and they probably weren’t willing to do it until the player base is fully or mostly on the new consoles. Or again cus they’re lazy
Microsoft is very woke, I wonder if Mexico was chosen for political reasons ? Or to have Horizon set in a none white people country ? They ended up making Mexico look boring and run down, they did the country no justice at all in my opinion.The airport is too run down and should have been less abandoned looking, it is the most interesting place on the map, but it looks crappy. I also see no wildlife on the land or birds in the sky.

one of my biggest flex’s in this game is not upgrading the festivals, they ruin the map’s atmosphere and just make a waste of the space, and ruin the roads with blue flags and stunt ramps.

I had good expectations about this game but I think I exceeded that, FH5 has a boring map even more than FH3 map but FH3 map had better aesthetics and atmosphere, and yes the exclusive car system is annoying, I never liked the festival playlist system since it was implemented in FH4, I hate PR stunts and it is more of a task than fun to have to complete the festival playlist to get the exclusive cars, I would like to have another option to get those cars apart from the auction house, festival playlist…
For me FH2 will continue to be the best forza horizon, FH3 was also very good, in fact it was the last great Horizon

My main problem is forza is trying to recreate unicorn cars and doing it wrong. After a car is unlocked, it should be put on the autoshow. If you dont unlock the car in the playlist, and you buy it in the auction house, after that it should be available in the autoshow. Old Unicorn cars from like FM4 and other games were different because they were special versions of cars of cars already in the game. There's no reason why the Toyota Celica qnd the AE86 are only available on the auction house or in the forzathon shop or wheelspins

I think the truth is Forza Horizon was competing with Test Drive unlimited and to steer the customer base towards them they actually put alot of features and details and atmosphere into the earlier iterations of horizon. Even then they didnt have what TDU2 had. But now that TDU is no more they don't see the need to actually build upon their previously demanding consumer base because they are now "The only gig in town"...
But you know that a new TDU is coming next year? I put all my faith in that...

Every car that isn’t a barn find or Forza Edition (FE) should be in the autoshow. Money should also be rewarded based on how long and difficult a race is instead of randomising credits behind wheelspins
The only way to make big money is through use of the auction house. Anything short of that, and you will be grinding for so long that you'll be too sick of playing to do anything.
None of this really bothers me if I'm gonna be honest. The most annoying thing would be the pop ups but even then, still not that big of a deal to me.
One thing you mentioned in a previous video is the transition from FH2 to FH3 is the template for the game felt new and modernized. Fh1 and 2 even felt modernized. Fh3 seems the most modern to present day. It seems like they've gone backwards like in Horizon 4 everything feels old too like in Horizon 5. This needs to be fixed but you know it won't. The developers are so lazy and unmotivated now it's not gonna happen.

This game is a boring glorified technical demo, and this is from someone with hundreds of hours spend across ALL Horizon and Motorsport titles each.
I'm still so disappointed in the lack of a city in FH5. The world feels so lifeless due to it.
FH5 has.. a tiny area smaller than a suburb as a "city", with terribly shaped streets, obnoxious houses, and 0 traffic.
This isn’t Surfers Paradise or Byron Bay. This isn’t all the villages in the UK or Edinburgh (which is MASSIVE), and this isn’t FH2’s beautiful coastal towns perfect for picture mode.
It’s a shame they chose Mexico, when so many other places suffice... Germany, Japan, Canada, Russia, even China all have varied landscapes.
But truly, FH5 should've been in Spain! Barcelona or Madrid as the city, and then you get to cruise into the big central region of Spain to find Monserrat Mountains, Tabernas Desert, the Irati forest, lavender fields, all the stunning valleys.. type in Spain Landscape, or Spain Valleys, or Spain Mountains, or Spain Fields, and you'll instantly hate the devs for this bland Mexico devoid of humans we instead have. Oh, and Spain has volcanos too!
Not to bring up that it ran shoddy on my Xbone X with many resets required, audio glitches, the world just vanishing, etc. And the graphics are dogshit on PC, no idea why my PC that's way more powerful than my console can look worse maxed out that my Xbone X. At least I get over 60fps on PC, but FM7 get's 144fps with ease while this at mid settings is a solid 70. Draw distance is absolutely pathetic!
Oh and the damn Horizon Arcade, lol, that shit's dead. In FH4, you'd go to it and there'd be 7 cars parked up waiting to go, now you'll see it and everyone's at the airstrip instead avoiding them. I don't think I've ever seen more than 1 car besides myself doing one, and with such low numbers, they're impossible to solo complete.
Oh, you're speeding down the central highway? Oops! You just drove through the outer rim of an Arcade (with no one else in it), enjoy your new GPS waypoint being set, GET TO THE DESTINATION, LOSER!
And the Speed Zones, far out they get annoying. Randomly change the driving line off of where it was, while also not ignoring where you wanted to go, so you finish it only to see you need to turn around as you missed the corner thanks to the new pathing!
The worst Horizon to date, which is a shame seeing as it's gotten some good new features like the revving in the workshop (and that's about it).

I wouldn't go so far as to say that FH5's graphics are that much better than 3. Sure, if you look closely, 5 is more detailed. But if you turn up the settings of 3 completely on the pc, it still looks pretty damn good....
I would say that fh5's textures are better but as a whole visually? Fh3 and fh2 look far better, they had such a more alive feel. Fh5 visually is just graphics with no other substance, just good graphics that aren't all that exciting.
mate literally just change the filter on the map to fix the race pop ups? i cant see what the problem is. its not like you'll need to see where races are if ur cruising anyways

Agree with the Pop ups and the lack of people in the city. One other thing that personally annoys me, you just want to go for a hoon off-road? you flying across the map though the forest or across the fields then out of the blue a Trail Blazer pops up at the last second and it activates it or your driving along just cruising listening to you music having fun and a Horizon Arcade is across the road your on, so you have to pause the game to see how long it has to start. if its long enough you can carry on and drive though it, 8 seconds left, you have to wait or turn around.
