When you rave about all the detail on the Vasa ship, consider that it was lying on the bottom of the sea for 333 years, half buried in the mud. All that sculpted wood was originally painted in vivid colors!
Welcome to Sweden and Stockholm! It´s really worth a visit in the summertime. You are very cute. I found myself looking more at You than the video of Stockholm. Keep doing what You do. Take care!
The Royal Palace in Stockholm is actually not the residence of the king! He and his family live in Drottningholm Castle. The palace is just a workplace.
3:20 It was no fire storm, it's only that wooden buildings are susceptible to fires. However, it was already in the 1600s that wood became more or less forbidden (not in the 1800s). And even before that, buildings in what was then central town were mostly in stone material, only a bit further out were there wooden buildings.
Well it was an empirical brag project, built to be a sailing propaganda, but the king Gustavus Adolfus did meddle in the construction process to make it grander, so it became too high and too narrow so it sank on its Maiden voyage. It was litteraly the Kings fault that it sank.
There are no tsunamis in Sweden. If the sea level rise a lot, Stockholm, and the cities around Lake Mälaren, will face some difficulties. But there is no risk for any sudden disasters.
I really like your reactions Stella! No there is no risk of tsunami here in Stockholm. If you ever find yourself planning a trip to Stockholm, let me know and I will gladly guide you through the city!
Yes it is real I live there so I walk trough Stockholm everyday while going to work and home again. Today the name of the arena is not "Globen Arena" anymore it is called "Aviccii Arena".
i got married in the city hall (stockholms stadshus)...twice...but 15 years apart..the room where they have marriage ceremonies is like a palace with a lot of gold and mirrors and chandeliers...each marriage ceremony takes about 3 minutes...and couples are waiting their turn in a womderful hall and staorcase...
I live here in Stockholm and it’s such a safe and beautiful place for children. This year the tickets for the bus, subway and trains are provided free of charge to all school children including all holidays and spring breaks, that is a great way for them to explore this city on their own!! 😊
@6:45 The "boat" with the mouth painted on it, is actually an amphibious sightseeing bus. The tour starts and ends on the streets, with a little "splash" through the water on the way. The trope of using an amphipious bus for sightseeing is not unique to Stockholm, though as we do have a lot of water, it kinda make sense somehow.
I advice you to also pay a visit to the Swedish countryside. It is quite lovely and becomes more of a wilderness the further north you go. If you instead go west from Stockholm, and end up in my childhood home county of Värmland (pronounced Vairm-land), you come into possibly the most forested populated region in the country. The forest is present even in the towns - I would be very surprised if there is one place in any of those towns where you can go one kilometer in any direction without coming into a forest. Nature is close and everpresent, as you can imagine 🙂
I agree that Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities in the world (given, off course that you like that particular style - and preferens vary). BUT, I must say many of the footage of Stockholm shown in that particular "tourist guide" are quite rubbish, and doesn't really show the best views/ angles of stockholm; looks like a Sloppy, quick job of concatenated spontaneous smartphone clips, really and not very though through. But even with that, one can get the idea and can imagine how coozy it is...but know there is a LOT more...!
Most Swedish cities was haunted by great fires because of cramped woodhouses and cold climat ( fires too heat.) Most of Swedish cities has been burn down some two or three times.
I would also ad that the video was taken quite far apart. Stockholm is very geograpically large. The "metro" size of 2.4M is also a bit inflated including cities that is pretty far away.
Neutrality with a spin, the meaning of being to siding with the side that has the upper point at the moment, as long as you can do business with them and keep russia away. First siding with the third Reich and then the Allied, and after NATO was formed, allways has a secretive cooperation with them. Becourse Russia has always been the main arch Enemy

Yes, the detail on the Vasa ship is impressive. I don't think anyone today has the time to do something like that.

That's the best day of the year!
That’s lovely 😊

Sweden has a king and a parliamentary government 😊
Oh wow!
That’s great.
@@starrlarhTo be more precise - The king has no real power and has only representative role. - His job is to show up and look pretty ;)
Also our king cannot be prosecuted for a crime. The king could kill a person without getting punished
Stockholm... not bad. Just like Prague, Budapest, Paris, Rome etc. and many other capitals and cities in Europe.

Starr Larh, I was born in the Arctic Circle in Sweden and I think you are beautiful too! ❤
Come to Stockholm and Sweden, you would be more than welcome!
Thank you! 😊
Really lovely reaction to this beautiful video! 😊
Thank you papa!! 😊
Hi from Stockholm
Benny and Frida, from the iconic Swedish group ABBA, had a flat together in Old Town. They even filmed some commercials in it in the 70s
7:39 This is the world's largest building built of bricks.
The house is built with over eight million bricks.
You are welcome to Sweden at eny time ❤🎉 ...🇸🇪👍
Love my city
Sweden is a democratic monarchy, so a ceremonial monarchy with a prime minister.
