When it comes to saber skills NOBODY matches Grandmaster Yoda, and Sidious was completely equal to Yoda in overall force ability, not better. Sidious’ real claim to fame that sets him apart is his absolute ruthless evil and his matchlessly cunning mind, but in terms of sheer power and combat ability, Yoda would win in a level playing field, I have no doubt.
