    Just traded in my older Tacoma on a ‘21 Tundra yesterday and have spent about 3 hours watching a bunch of your videos and dropping about 600 bucks in Amazon. 😂
    Thanks for some of these tips man. A lot of the. We’re already on the list but seeing them installed made me pull the trigger. Console safe, RC front shackles, bumpershellz, a bunch of AJT accessories, etc. The first big update I have to do to the truck is def a better sound system. Coming from my Tacoma, I’m actually shocked how bad the sound is in the Tundra (non-JBL, I don’t know how much better that actually is) but it reminds me of my dads old S-10 in the 90’s. Found a local guy that specializes in Tundra audio specifically so I think that’ll be a quick update. Then it’ll be getting another Diamondback cover.

      You are correct about the audio. Check out TacoTunes, they have a complete plug and play system for the Tundra with Amp. Thanks for watching.

    I installed this yesterday. I was surprised by the difference in throttle response, slightly better than what it was and the engine just gave a different cleaner sound with this on. Even without telling me wife and having her drive she noticed a difference and liked it...like u said tow mode..it was even better...overall good $25 investment.

    I put this in with the TRD air filter. I really don’t notice much difference. Time will tell if gas mileage is affected.

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  2 роки тому +1

      My gas mileage hasn’t changed but I’ll be doing a road trip soon and will monitor if I see any improvements. I only notice slightly louder engine/air-box noise, but I do see and feel a noticeable acceleration and shifting experience. It’s not nitrous but it does feel less sluggish in the high humidity weather where I live. Thanks for commenting and if you haven’t please subscribe I’m uploading a video every week.

    What air filter do you use on the Tundra? Don't like cleaning the wet K&N ,looking at aFe dry ,Pro DRY S - 3 Layer Dry Media, any thoughts on that. Thanks for the vid , just installed the TRD Intake Flow Accelerator and the TRD Air Box Top on my '19 5.7L Tundra, it helped ! (the vid and the mods, LOL)

    • @828findadventure

      So right now for practicality I just use OE Toyota air filters that I change every 5K along with the cabin filter. It’s just easier that way than dealing with a K&N or some other oily type filter. Thanks for watching.

      @@RS-gw2kt because of my lift and roof rack it’s hard to say about better gas mileage. It does bring more air in which essentially does help with that. I have kind of a heavy foot so I pay a price for that. LOL

      @spookerr Рік тому +1

      @@GillyGomez It fits! Already installed. Except I used the previous snorkel foam surround and transferred to the TRD air accelerator to help isolate warm engine bay temps from recirc back thru the fender and into the TRD accelerator. Didnt see or feel much difference. But it uses a venturi effect nevertheless, so that you all can see some minor instrumented gains. But for $30. Who cares.

    What does tow haul mode do?

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Рік тому +1

      It uses the computer to, as far as I can tell give you better shifting and power band. I can see where it would help towing heavy or in the mountains. As for using it when not towing it’s like have in a “tune” on the engine. You will definitely go through some tires. Be careful with it, the extra power at the push of a button is surprising.

    What do you know about the hps air intake hose on the Tacoma?

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  2 роки тому +1

      Anything that is less restrictive to air getting into the engine will help, even though the computer does most of the work. Those smooth hoses do get pricey and look good, but I don't think you would see the same bang for the buck as you do installing this TRD airflow accelerator on the Tacoma or Tundra. Have you seen my Tacoma install of the same part? It's an older video and basically shows the same install. • @828findadventure

      I just installed the TRD horn last week and the most noticeable difference to me has been in acceleration. I just think it helps the engine gulp more air. I'll keep an eye on gas mileage around town, maybe I can squeeze out 13.5 mpg. As for towing, I don't tow much but I'm sure it would help.
