  • Filmed in Oulu, Finland in January 2017. Includes wide variety of aerial footage.
This was just for fun project (not professional level), so some of the material included might not be "A-grade students", because of the wrong recording settings (in a few clips). Enjoy anyhow! :-)
Phantom 4 is a great drone for everyone. If I could wish something for the future drones: upward sensors and waterproofness.
A friendly message from the local emergency helicopter pilot to all the drone operators: please always stay under the legal maximum flying altitude (150 metres in Finland) to avoid any conflict in the air. For example a hit to the tail rotor can be fatal to the copter. This was not my personal warning; just passing message - please don't throw me under the bus :-)
    Enjoy your drones!

Can you say more about the temperatures? How much lower under Zero where they? This would be incredible helpful. :)

Are you asking about the temperatures when this was filmed? Temperatures varied from 0 (zero) Celsius to -15 Celsius (5 degrees in Fahrenheit). There were not any special problem with Phantom in cold or freezing environment, but as I expected the flight time was shorter and the voltage of the battery cells can drop very sharply. It was little bit surprise to me that the biggest problem (in cold) was the connection problems between Phantom and the controller. In the -15 I could lose connecting even when the Phantom was flying like 100 metres from me (in bad day, but not always). Usually connection was received back in a few seconds - once Return-To-Home was activated, because of connection lost. Still gladly surprised that the Phantom can handle cold climates - not perfectly, but at least it can. I opened the Phantom (carrying) case only after the drone has warmed itself in the box, so that the condensation wouldn't happen in the electronics. Of course silica gel and dry rice bags can take away the humidity from components if necessary.
