I've got one too agree good cars! Mines a 2004 1.25 finesse done 117000 miles still great to Drive, been Aberdeen to Yorkshire twice in 6 months the only repair I've had to do is exhaust £120 and do Start to watch out for rust spots at this age though. But overall a great buy good cars I like fords oh and by the way economical 50 mpg roughly
I recently bought an 05 zetec 1.4 petrol. I love it ! The handling /cornering is the most fun I've had in any car. The 80bhp engine which doesn't sound a lot is actually very responsive around town likes to rev freely and it's not bad on the motorway either , comfortably cruise at 70 with passengers and luggage.
My wife had a eco boom engined fiesta, think it was a 16 plate , she does high mileage with her job , in 2 yrs , she had the oil and filter and 2 new tyres , that’s it ,,, got rid at 86k ,, before it went boom , I’ve just come into ownership of one of these 04 in silver , 200 quid , cheers shane uk 🇬🇧
@@LiamsToolbox yes m o t , my step Daughter bought a new car , had the fiesta for 2 and a half yrs , I was given in for free, but felt I should give something, so 200 pounds it was, it will be in need of a couple of new tyres, when the m o t is due in 5 months , but in the paperwork, and service history , can’t see when it last had a cam belt , water pump change , it’s around 450 to get that done , I’m divided , you can’t get a half decent car that runs ok for that sort of money , so I guess it’s worth getting done rather than running till it goes bang 💥,,,, thanks for the reply , shane uk 🇬🇧
@shaneweightman yeah I agree you can't get anything decent for that price so might as well spend it on getting the fiesta belt done then you have peace of mind, the only thing I would say before is check underneath the car for rust, especially the rear Axel, seems to be quite common for these to badly rust

Yeah very economical cars, I know ford gets a bad name but they do make some decent cars.

I've got one, same as yours! 18 years and still going strong with almost 200.000km.
Wow that's impressive!! That's good to know its still going strong! Have you had much done to it?
@@LiamsToolbox I have the exact same car, its 18 years old and it only has 71.000km my father bought it brand new but rarely used it.
@@LiamsToolbox how much did you pay for it?
Paid £325.00 bargain to be honest
@@LiamsToolbox how is that even possible very good deal back in 06 this car brand new cost 12k €
Thats a mk6 mate the mk5 is just a facelift of the mk4 but sometimes people get confused with mk as the mk5 wasn’t technically a new car
Ah okay thank you!
it's a mk5
I've just bought one of these yesterday
2004 finesse 56k miles, green/silver
1.25l 4 cylinder 5 speed petrol
And I love it
They are awesome little cars! And yours has such low mileage also!
@@LiamsToolbox it does and its only had 1 lady owner from new, and I only paid £1000
Nice one sounds like you've found yourself a tidy car
@@LiamsToolbox its very clean and nice, plus I've just bought some black wheel trims to make it look q bit more sporty
Love it!

The duratecs don't groan. They sing lol. What makes them sound so nice?
No idea! Lol
Does it have a aux port so I can connect my phone to listen to stuff
Unfortunately no, I'm sure you can add one in though with not too much hassle.
Hy! I am from Croatia. I am thinking to buy one. It is from 2005, 208 000 km. The price is 2350 €. Is it worth it?
I do not know what the car market is like in Croatia but first impression i would say that's very expensive
@@LiamsToolbox I have same opinion. I'll try to lower it to 1000 €
Bosnia here, i just bought 2007 Fiesta (upgraded from 1985 golf) for 2250 euros. I must say it's worth it.
