I agree. I think that could be an interesting mechanic they can use in the future. They can only haggle once per duel and only if they didn't pull one of a high rarity card.
I for one would love to see that become an actual rule. Not only is it fun to see, since there's a trade-off between what you want and what you don't want your opponent to have, but this rule will also help archetypes that don't have all of their cards, or their better cards, in their pack, like Myutant, Dream Mirror, Shiranui, or any plant Decks that want to include the Rikka cards. I'm honestly all for it

The whole point of roulette is to see you guys use different archetypes. I'm on board with rules tweaks that actually let you try these packs out properly, such as crafts or "guaranteed Polymerisation" or trades. Whatever keeps it fun for you guys and fun for us. Thanks Doug.
Loved this episode, I think to balance some of the bad packs out, both players should be able to make more trade deals called "Deal with the Dougvil" or "Faustian Pack (play on pact)". One player can suggest 10 more pack while the other player craft a SR or 20 more pack to craft an UR.
I love when Joseph pulls a pack that has several ways to special summon, add from deck to hand, etc, and Doug opens a pack where the most optimal play is set pass
Shoutout to the twitch chatter "lameassguy", for his marvellous comment "they vampire archetype steals your opponents monsters not because they are vampires, but because they are romanian"
This might be the most entertaining episode yet. From Doug immidiatly going for the shit garydle pack, opening 30 packs, giving a trade offer to MBT for another 10 and giving him eldlich for it, to "how much can you pay with this?" "this much"
I think it speaks volumes of Doug's abilities as a content creator to make what would normally be a complete shutout of an episode, interesting and entertaining to watch.
“Throwing implies the game was winnable” man MBT’s chat is savage! I mean … on the other hand you did open 40 packs and still just have that master duel curse where no matter how many packs you pull in sealed you’re still not getting anything you actually need. 😵💫 What did you do to Konami exactly? 😥

And all is returned to status quo. Joking aside, after a few days of thinking about it, Doug really didn't lose as badly as it seems. Sure, he probably should had looked at the pack prior to jumping on it, but Graydles is probably Doug's "Set Westlo, pass." The Nibiru misclick was probably a turn saver, 2 turns at most, barring some super strong topdecking that would have been impossible to play around. The real sting was missing Worm Victory or Worm Zero. The preemptive rolling was a bit ruder? then the Grinch "I rolled 2 packs, aha, I'll play the other one." but considering the rolls, mega-punished does seem fitting. Overall, it was a fun learning experience, we learned that Vampires are in fact, super based, and the Space pack is so horribly conditioned that I would not be surprised if it was in the bottom 10 packs opened if not for Nibiru.
@@ericmay560 this is the 2nd time.. everytime i loved it more than the normal episode... opening 20 packs outside of being forced that you only have 2 roulette spins makes it too luck based.. would love more interaction
i really liked the negotiation, its nice to see some deck achieve their potential with some more card pulls, i think it should be a rule that if both agree they can pick 10 more packs each
It would have been so cool if Doug would have returned the retainer to hand instead of the sucker, Nibiru’d before the vampire Grace activated it’s effect to send, brought the token out in attack mode, and activated Zoma during end phase to switch to attack and ram into the token for game. But it happens. It’s for entertainment, not for prizes, and it sure was entertaining.
Stealing monsters is one of the strongest effects in the game, but more importantly it' s one of the most fun. Vampires vs. Graydles sounds like a hilarious matchup.
... Why isn't this a rule? If Dzeeff or MBT don't pull something good from their first 20 packs, they can request for only 10 additional packs but the other player can craft/use a card they own into their Deck AS LONG as it fits the theme of the pack they picked. That would honestly be both fair but broken, depends! Hope they do this; it would help out when thy get a BAD pack and don't pull anything good.
The great thing about roulette not being a progression series is we can do these hilarious cheats and haggles without effecting any of the future episodes. It's really fun and casual and takes me back to the days or just playing yugioh on the playground making up rules and stuff.
The bartering after pulling should be a regular part of the series. With how mismatched some of the packs are and how luck can swing things so much it could be a fun equilizer and something to switch up the series now that we're so far into it. Maybe some structure to it like "I need 10 packs" "OK but I get a craft from the pack" or something.
No matter how much seeing the misclick/misplay hurts my soul deeply in the moment, I fucking love this series. I look forward to these episodes more than prog
