I had this procedure done in October 2022 at the Walton Centre in Liverpool. It’s now April 2023 and I’m back to full fitness again, cycling up to 200 miles a week. I’m eternally grateful to the skilled and dedicated staff who gave me a second chance at life.

What an amazing, minimally invasive way to reduce the risks of a burst aneurysm. In my day it was delicate surgery, poking about under the brain trying to get clips onto a difficult vessel. How times change....

This procedure saved my life when I developed brain aneurysm in October of 2006,I was brought timely to the ER for the procedure, after recovering from the procedure,I went through a process of physical rehabilitation because of muscle weakness Thankfully I did not suffer any face weakness nor speech problem but recovered well,The only thing that bothered me was my right leg sciatic nerve ,I still feel muscle weakness but thank God I am able to jot this down to share my experience,My gratitude to the neurological ICU team of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital of Sydney Australia and to all the physical therapist at Balmain Rehabilitation Hospital who took care of me and save my life.Thank you everyone,I couldn't believe this incredible procedure was done on me,what an unbelievable surgical skill,I owe my survival to all the neuro,surgical/ medical team.Thank you mates!

It's okay to be scared but you should know that it's a lot better than having surgery. You can recover from it more easily, 12 times quicker than surgery and the complications are 8 times less common. Also, aneurysms can be ticking time bombs that might never go off but it's better to be on the safe side. Wish you well.
