I'm not an expert on laptops, but I think it could work. You have plenty of RAM (The 32-bit version requires only 4 GB) and the GPU might be up to the challenge. I used to run Train Simulator (64-bit) with good FPS with an AMD FX-8350 Black Edition and 2 GTX 470s in 2-Way SLI. Your CPU has similar performance factors, mainly: 4 GHz frequency and 8-thread capability. If your laptop has an SSD, that helps immensely.
