I'm a sophomore in a high school drama club, and I run the lights booth if I'm not in productions. We previously had an Innovator 48/96 as our main console, but nobody knew how to use it. It has stickers all over it that say not to touch any buttons except faders. We also had a "broken" Element 40 console sitting on a shelf. It was determined as broken after someone was touching the buttons while not knowing what they were doing. I recently reinstalled the Element and figured out the issue (it was in a wrong mode) and this video really helped me learn the console, as there is nobody else who actually knows how to use the console in the school. Once school starts back up (thanks COVID-19) I plan on really training the crew on how to use this board. This video is extremely helpful on getting the basics. I also know that I'm quite a few years late here, but it's the console we just happened to have.
Hi Creaky C.
That's great to hear! There are some more resources available to you:
Element Video Learning Series: www.etcconnect.com/Support/Tutorials/Element-Video-Learning-Series/Overview.aspx
If you select the Level 1 Essentials, or Level 2 Enhanced Skills on that page you will find all of the videos covering Element, in addition to the Workbooks, Show files, Visualization files for PC, as well as lighting paperwork, and even a link to download ETCnomad v2.6 Software (the version of software used in these videos).
More on ETCnomad can be found here: www.etcconnect.com/Products/Consoles/Eos-Family/ETCnomad-ETCnomad-Puck/Overview.aspx
These videos are also found as playlists here on UA-cam.

I cannot explain how helpful this video as well as the Video Learning Series is!
I knew enough to get by at my high school, but now I am seriously familiar with the console
Great little video. Very helpful to a guy just getting back into lighting after a 25 year hiatus. Thanks for posting this.
I have used the Element before, but this was a very helpful refresher.
My school currently uses this console but has it set up in a horrible way wish I could redo it but I would get suspended in no time.
Did i understand this right way if i have an ETC 40 Element and i switch to Submasters so i have 40 Submasters?
me podrian pasar estos tutoriales en español ya que acabamos de adquirir una consola igual a esta y queremos aprender bien como usarla pero tosos sus tutoriales son en ingles, alguien que puedas ponerlos en español por favor
De acuerdo
Please Tutorial in Spanish....!!!
Hello, I’m 14 years old and I would like to be a lighting engineer or a audio engineer in theatres, I find all this really confusing, is there videos where I can study key words

How do I change color of lighrs
hit the "ML Controls" button
For someone who has never used a board newer than 35 years old, even this first video is WAY beyond my understanding. Sorry. I will keep at it with subsequent videos, but without closeups of all the buttons you are pushing while explaining I cannot learn.
