I will always love UCT Choir for Africa... Been a loyal member from 2001 to 2006, at the end of my studies. I still wish I could still be a member. Guys please organise an alumnus concert and invite all former members. That would be lovely. Good singing I hear... Keep it up. Post more vids please.
In Spring of 1997 I was very fortunate and proud to be a member of the UCT (University of Cape Town) Choir for Africa. It was one of the most joyful experiences of my life.
Hey there Guys the UCT Choir for Africa is running and we will be having our first concert this friday 27 April at Jameson Hall Upper Campus. Hoping to post videos of the Concert very soon. and Thank you to all our supporters.
Sekirileke (Suddenly) in Sotho Rene re bapala motho a wela Sikirileke, sikirileke Hele banna motho a wela Batho ba le ba tlogele Ke leloko le madimabe The translation I learned from Matlakala is: "We were playing. Someone just arrived. Hey people! This person just arrived. Ignore this person. He doesn't know better." The song is cautioning about choosing your friends carefully and not hanging with the "wrong crowd". I'd love to know more about how UTC is doing. I hope to visit someday.

It's in Sotho. I learned it from Matlakala Bopape, director of Polokwane Choral Society. I love the dance step that UTC does!
