Poppy’s breakdown and Ian comforting her in the quarantine episode is hands down one of the greatest most heartwarming moments of any sitcom. It reminds me of Michael going to Pam’s art show in The Office, but even better because of the real life subtext

Breaking Brad has got to be the best episode of the series. He was already my favorite character but that episode made me love him even more now that we got some insight into why he is the way he is. Not to mention I think this might be one of the most accurate portrayals of an eating disorder I’ve seen on tv

I always gravitate towards Danny Pudi projects ever since the Community Pilot. The scene where he thought he was deaf, before the credits... I was like, "Yep. Im keeping my eyes on this guy".

This show is throwing my emotions around like some sort of juggling expertee. One moment full of Joy & laughter but seconds after is total Angst & depression and before you even fathom it hits you with a punchline again.

I only just started watching M.Q. About two weeks ago and I love the show. I think it’s a shame that it’s “buried” (so to speak) on Apple TV because if it was on a more mainstream site I think it’d be hugely popular. Or maybe not?! Idk sometimes the best shows go unappreciated while the worst, most trite sitcoms become mammoth hits.
I watch it every week but the UI means I have to search for it in the comedy section down the page when the episodes update. Apple have dropped the ball when advertising most of their content.

They managed to make almost every character really unlikeable except for a tiny amount of redeaming qualities and still make the show good. The only likeable characters are Dana, Carol and Sue
Yeah the gang manage to be lovable assholes in their own way. Like Charlie is obsessed with the waitress and stalks her and the way it’s all written we manage to not hate his character even though he does some horrible things that would get a person arrested in real life
Dana has a lot of unlikable moments, like the car scene with Ian where he calls her out for whining about less opportunities when he gave her a huge one and she used it to complain about her relationship....and then can't come up with a single idea to capitalize on her opportunity. She's kind of the Britta (community reference) of the show. That said, she really tries to be good and she does have a good heart, even if she's a bit hypocritical at times. I really like how they satirize a super woke person while letting them be a real character and not strawmanning.

They have such a toxic relationship because they’re the exact same kind of person but they desperately need eachother because if Poppy leaves now Ian won’t know what to do without her. I hate this show btw
Was Ian’s brutal words at the end there supposed to be some type of reverse psychology, S**T to make her want to be more independent and confident in her leadership position, cuz if not then this Show just took a very dark turn.

I personally think so! He did say he can't tell the difference between inspiring and emotional manipulation. What he did was manipulation, but he thought he was doing the right thing.

Then in the clip, she more or less just asked Ian for a handout of emotional support. Not having any of that, he gave her a big F U at the end.

I remember myself when i was in that position where everyone kept coming to me for advice but when i need company, everyone else is busy, and the only advice they have is "just get over it".
Rob McElhenney and David Hornsby are writing geniuses tbh. There’s always been more emotional serious episodes in sunny as well, but they’ve never gotten the recognition and appreciation they deserve. Especially with season 15. They really ran with it, creating a serialised season, full of emotion and narrative and I loved every second of it. I really feel it’s one of the strongest seasons and really shows all their full potential- but for some benign reason it wasn’t received well. So I’m glad they got to create a show that allowed them to fully realise their capabilities.

Out of all the shows that covered COVID, Mythic Quest did it the best. They didn’t do montages or dramatic bombastic scenes, but they showed the small moments that really got to us. The inability to see family and friends. Working from home but realizing that the isolation is not healthy. The constant pressure to self improve due to the time, and only crumbling under the stress. Poppy overworking to occupy herself because she didn’t want to have a moment to think about being alone is so real.

I would love to watch mythic quest but it is on another different streaming service. I have 7 accounts for 7 other services. It's too much. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and HBO Max. TV shows just need to put this shit on youtube or somewhere with ads.
My problem with Mythic quest is it’s a bad comedy not a bad drama. It actually kind of annoys me that it’s trying to pull of these emotional swings when it’s not succeeding at the more important aspect.

Breaking Brad was a really good episode. Well acted and expertly written as far as the character work is concerned. The premise of it though has me scratching my head a little bit. I’ll elaborate. So brad’s brother Zack is supposed to be a psychopathic Gordon gecko type, that’s fine.....but his plan to take away Brad’s game and gut it for maximum profit with the story about the pig that brad raised and got attached to before his brother slaughtered it being the metaphor kinda doesn’t make a lot of sense when I stopped to think about it a little bit. For example for him to be able to do that he would have to gain ownership. How exactly would he do that when the studio that makes the game is owned by a Ubisoft/Activision Blizzard type mega publisher that seems to have their head office in Montreal? The Battle Royale expansion that brad got poppy to implement brought the game to a new level of monetisation. For the parent company it would have to be a cash cow if poppy was rewarded with a Porsche. So yeah I get that brads remorseless brother is absurdly rich but if he desires to buy that studio or even just the IP of the game from that parent company he would have to pay well above the odds to get them to consider selling assuming the company is in good financial health and would be better served by keeping the game and the revenue it brings in. That would be like some hedge fund trying to get Blizzard to sell world of Warcraft or getting EA to sell off its fifa assets. It just doesn’t happen and if it did it would cost more than it’s worth. And how would he gut the game anyway? The most valuable thing is the IP of the game itself. Even if he bought the studio the most he could do would be close the studio sell off the building but the development talent is arguably more valuable in terms of the money that can be made from their endeavors. They can’t be sold off to other studios as if they were live stock. He claims the game had reached its peak but its hard to see how he’d be able to profit from it if he has to pay a lot to acquire it. And even if he did that what would he do with it ? Sell it to Tencent for like ten times what he paid? ..... I don’t think so If a company like Tencent wanted MQ that badly that they were prepared to offer an absurd amount of cash for it they could have just bought it directly from its current owners and not make some hedge fund douche a big profit from being a middleman
