@@irunovermountains Will do. I never wore the Cyclon. I have the OG Jackal form last year as needed something wiht better grip than Salomon. found they rubbed on heel but wiht a bit of tape got me thought LL50 and CCC nicely. now a training shoe as I think these will be better but will see this weekend!
The original Jackal did the exact same thing to my heel. It ruined the shoe for me, and that was the only La Sportiva shoe with that issue. Thankfully fixed in this new version
Hey Rick, I wasn’t off camber too much on this route, but I was the week after at the Skyrace (video out next week). The shoe coped well - there’s good structure without it feeling bulky or heavy. If I could change one thing, it would be to go bigger on the lugs for when it’s sloppy out
The BOAs pop out before they would break and they just pop back in. I've only experienced that once before, and that was with the Speedland SL:PDX. I honestly don't think durability is an issue. Look at the abuse they take on snowboarding boots 🫣 The Skytour video will be out in a few days
@irunovermountains I have to wait till January to get a pair in my size. I just learned that I should have went a half a size up than my usual size. I guess I'll be able to use them in the snow and then later in the mud ^^ you used them well in the race you mentioned?
@irunovermountains for mud, I was surprised with my older salomon sense 7 sg, short runs and also the cross 6...I was skeptical about those circle nobs at the bottom, but worked well for a muddy hilly 22k race I did
quality fun in the mountains, best of luck for the race!
Coool footage and very good scenary.
Love your vids.❤
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌
Watched this without being forced. Great video. Love the wife x
😂😂
I have these shoes, looking forward to doing some mountain testing end of this week. nice vid!
Thanks Jon. Let me know what you think of them. I have a Cyklon vs Jackal video in the works

@@irunovermountains seems so, keeping mine for sub 30km training now lols
what were your thoughts on the lateral movement of your foot in the shoe? ie support while side-hilling? great vid

@@irunovermountains Appreciate the feedback! For those days of slop, on go my Mutants
Great shoe. Love the Mutant. New version dropping this year 😎
Great video and good luck saturday. That locking system breaks though, your done right?

I just got a pair of those shoes to test out too.

@rokrun They work well on a variety of terrain and distance, but they’re not a mud specialist shoe, but few are 🤷♂️

Hey man, how’d you size these ?
I just checked mine and they’re UK10, which is what I wear in Norda. I wear 9.5 in Hoka & Nnormal. Hope this helps
