Hate to tell you this but the difference in sound between the 4.6 and 5.0 is because of a firing order change. Compression has nothing to do with it. Just an fyi.
G H Compression does make a difference. I remember going to NASCAR races, and hearing the truck series engines against the cup series engines. At idle there was a difference. At the time the cup engines had 14:1, and the trucks had 9:1. That was the only difference at the time.
@@Eddie2425 You can hear a 4.6 mod motor from a mile away. Mine is 10.5 to 1 comp and it sounds no different from a low comp version. Anyone that knows late model mod motors can tell the difference instantly. I have a 2017 f150 with the 5.0 and it's comp ratio is 10.8 to 1. I can appreciate what your saying about race motors but these are completely different animals.

I originally bought this as a everyday driver but I decided to add many modifications over the course of 2 or so years. Also all that blue bodywork shit was done by my brother, that’s why it has kinda shitty welding. Might wanna replace the shifter as it is not of very high quality. Hope you do more videos on this!

there is a channel called wrangle star. large homestead channel. recently made a video where he restored a old snap on jack with this very problem. u need to find the bleed port, get jack oil and then there is a procedure where after u fill it u take it to a full height one time and drop it down to cycle it and complete the bleed.
Wow, loads of upgrades, low mileage although probably a lot of track time. You guys should have gotten both rear tires off the ground, placed the trans in neutral, marked the bottom of the drive shaft and then counted the revolutions of the drive shaft while making one full turn of the rear wheel. This would have given you a pretty close final drive ratio and I'd be willing to bet that the gearing would not be stock. Excellent price and a great find!
I recommend 4.10 or 4.30 gears for the 3650. Makes everyday driving more fun and will help with ETs, will still trap top of 4th in the 1/4 mile. It should be a low 12 second car with the right driver.
Wow...that previous owner spent quite a bit of time and money on reconfiguring the suspension geometry and bettered the handling of that ‘Stang by 100% with those mods. I always wondered why they just couldn’t come from the Factory with those handling characteristics, probably due to cost, but during the build process, they could easily be designed and fabricated to perform like a real car should. Your friend got a real steal for that money...very nice.
If it hasn't been told yet, the blue frame is a sub frame to stiffen the unibody making it handle as a solid frame. The rear bars to the rear tire keeps the axle straight when launching. The front is a sub member that allows for tuning the geometry as well as making room for the headers. Looks like work has been done to the ring and pinion, (divide number of teath by number of teath. perhaps either a fuel cell or a e85 tank. Check computer and see the map if it's been hacked or a aftermarket. A lot of work has been done but not for the 4.6.....
Some people dont even pay attention to that stuff i got people all the time who return broken jacks to my store. And they wouldve lasted had they put some oil in the damn thing.
I had a similar encounter when i bought my 2006 subaru outback wagon. I drove the car. Loved it. I then asked the salesperson why the engine was different and why thw hoodscoop. When i took it for a test drive i notice this was not the same outback wagon. Then i also noticed the on screen touch scrren with a digital tachometer. Salesperson didnt know about the car but he just wanted the sale given it was a Mazda dealership. All said, igot the car with 60,000 miles and paid 10k. After two weeks of the purchase, i went back and complained about a high pitch noise on acceleration. Tols me nothing was wrong. That was 4 years ago. I then researched the VIN and model. It turns out that Subaru made the outback with the WRX STI engine turbocharged H4. The “wheezing” was the 12 psi turbo with 3” downpipe. Hence the model 2.5 XT. then i notice my outback was much lower than the same model i had. took it to Midas. Turned out i had full suspension KONI front and back. Moral of story: salespersons sonetimes dont know whay they have. They just want to sell. My car - fast, like a Subaru WRX sti.
Your old jack will have rubber plug on the bottle itself, probably on the upside right under the lifting arm. Pop that plug put, being careful not to ruin it as you have to put it back. Once you have that out, slowly add jack oil. Might take a minute because the air has to escape thru the same hole that the oil is going in. It’s best to do when your oil is warm. You can get jack oil at any auto parts store.
What a F**kin score seriously for the price!. I found a similar set up at an auction near me and it went for $13k so he should be happy!.. Have fun with it and don't be like most Mustang drivers and curb it up all the time or wrap it around a pole in just a few months of ownership!. LOL
The jack is low on oil. Remove the cover from the top portion of the jack that doesn't move to expose the fill hole on top of the cylinder. Remove this plug with the jack down and observe the fluid level inside. If the fluid is already full there is another concern but there should be a small amount of air space for expansion etc... Add fluid until it is about 1/8th of an inch from the hole and replace the plug. Next raise the jack to full extension a couple times to force air out and recheck the fluid level to ensure that it is still full and you are done. I will also mention that you have to buy the correct oil as well and the local parts store will have it for a few dollars with additives to stop the leaking seals and stuff to extend the life of your jack. Hopefully this has been thorough enough but if not I am sure there is some video on the tubes explaining and showing what I just explained so that is always an option as well. Oh, and my prediction is that the pretty red new Mustang won't actually be around for as long as you think unless you got a factory freak that doesn't grenade itself within a year or two. In that case hold onto it because it will be worth a fortune eventually when all the other ones are scrapped. Lol
Thank you!!! I've been looking online and couldn't figure it out. I can't believe I got so lucky. I had a 2009 5 years ago but had to let her go during a long custody battle (I won in the end). I plan on building up this one and keeping this one for good (forced induction in the future).
Man, what a gem you got there brother, and at a great price!!! Who ever owned this before you had this garaged most of its life! When I was working at a Ford Dealership years ago, I sold my sister a brand new 2007 GT just like yours and it was just an amazing car to drive. Have fun man and hope ya take care of that beautiful car!!
On your floor jack issue, it's probably just low on hydraulic jack oil. There should be a filler hole for it somewhere, but before you add more, make sure the jack in all the way down and the down screw is tight again.
Sometimes upgrades are made to add looks and street performance. But this car appear to be set up for the track (Drag strip) with the battery moved to the trunk and the suspension setup for drag racing, so I'm guessing it spent some time being driven hard a quarter mile at a time. The engine sounds solid, apparently no leaks or rust and the price was below MSRP having only 60,000 miles. It's often a risk buying a moded muscle car, but at that price and a long test drive. I believe I would have taken a chance.
Only thing about buying used sports cars with heavy mods is they were most likely driven hard even despite there appearance . Looks great good luck have fun with it ✌️
@zander13, on the cylinder for the jack, there is a little fill screw. Pull that screw out, pump it slowly to bleed the air out. When its flowing fluently when u pump it, fill it with hydraulic jack oil until u see it at the threads. If it overfills, thats ok, itll just keep air out of the system. Once thats done, put the fill screw back in and use it as normal.
You mean its not raining in TN when you filmed this? What a shocker. That is a nice car for 9k with all the add-ons. Those suspension parts aren't cheap.
Nice find. I bought a 2008 just like this in the Alloy color back in 2014 and paid $17K for it with 60K on the clock. Right after that the S550 cars came out and these dropped in price a LOT.
The jack may be low on hydraulic fluid, which u can buy at harbor freight for less than $7, and u find the fill hole on the hydraulic cylinder, and fill. If it doesn't fix it, u need to tear down and replace o rings!
drain the hydraulic fluid from the jack, refill test add more if necessary.should be a obvious drain plug on it.make sure drain plug is positioned on top for total fill.
Harbor freight- aluminum floor jack = $89.00. Worth every penny. Old jack looks low on oil, not worth messing with unless you’re hydrologically inclined. Another option is to replace the bottle jack with a new one. Costs as much if not more than the harbor freight option...
This is what happens when you purchase some x dope dealers car after car was returned to dealership or repo after owner gets sent to prison and dealership or auction has no idea what kind of money has been dropped into the car I experienced this back in the 90's after buying a 90's convertible mustang for so cheap I was sure it was a rebuild or just a real piece of trash but it looked dope but after driving it home and realized it was fast as hell almost ditched it trying to be cool in front of some ladies and when I got home and popped the hood to do a closer examination cause I had barely looked at it before cause the price was so good that it really didn't matter what was under the hood so now at home I looked again and it blew me away everything was after market performance parts I'm not a expert car guy but my friend is and is also a mustang guy owning 3 himself and he was so jealous and couldn't believe how much was done to this car and said there was literally nothing more that I could do to it except maybe put the next size up super charger on it but thought it was already set up perfectly anyways long story but I ended up finding out the previous owner was huge drug dealer and car was seized during a raid then auctioned off at police auction but when everything seems to good to be true it turned out it was because turned out that he also had serious enemies and even ended up having someone fire shots while sitting at the intersection in broad daylight hitting my driver side door but went into the seat luckily so I traded it to a custom car dealership the next day and got a good trade but was so unhappy that I had to give up this flawless 5.0 ragtop but it just something people need to remember when getting something like customized vehicles for to cheap to be right this video had me relive my experience so I decided it was story telling time lol.. Peace and love and kush
This is a pretty substantial track car suspension, not so much a drag car setup. Very good setup to handle the curves. Mustang's really need this frame stiffening and it's not cheap!
Nice, my 1st car was a 1964.5 Mustang that my grandma bought new when she lived in California. She moved in with us in 1968. She bought a new car (with power steering) and my Mom drove the Mustang until I got my License in 1976. Then I took over the Stang! Lucky me. I miss that car, my Dad sold it to my uncles buddy who was a Mustang nut. At least I know it went to a good home.

oil the under of the metal on the car with fluid film, Honey oil or wax or whatever it is, It legit stops rust. Doesn't prevents whats there, but it stops it from corroding further. and it's just oil, so it wipes off, Unlike that rubberized undercoating some companies sell (which traps in moisture and rust horribly underneath) and when it peels away you have serious rust problem and potential frame damage. Nice stang. cya.
Guy prob used it on track days . Nice frame upgrade soukd realy stiffen her up. It the plate blocking thr drive shaft makes me think guy used it on track. One of my car due to the time it ran needs a drive line cage so yoi don't blow drive shaft and it hits other racer. Neet thought good buy
THOUSANDS in awesome mods! NICE!!! That car must get massive traction with all of those suspension mods. I did a lot of that same stuff to a car I used to have and it all made a huge difference. The new panhard rod kept the car from going sideways so much.
Btw suspension is the best thing you can do for a stock vehicle. Everyone jumps on the intake/exhaust train cuz it provides audible and physical performance but the amount of time the first owner spent on the chassis of this car is seldom seen.
@Zander13 I really love the grill delete but the badge for me is a no-go at this station lol. Seriously though I would like to see the badge gone I think the clean look will suit your car's name better

It always seems my father would have had more luck selling his modified '07 GT in the states than here in Canada. That was a beast tuned for 384whp with a nasty sounding kooks headers+borla atak catback system... All the ford performance goodies and Koni adjustable suspension. Bits from the Supersnake body kit. The car was driven 4months a year with less than 100k kilometers on it. In 2016 he sold it after having it posted online and at car shows for 2 seasons...he finally parted with it for $13k CAD. Do the conversion thats just over $9700USD. Not sure how people are capable of selling modified cars for so much money, stock GT's with triple the mileage were selling for the same amount here.

Fyi brother compression has alot to do with sound.

It's great seeing a buyer get a great deal. The gentleman couldn't stop smiling. Awesome. The car sounds amazing and looks badass. The only thing that sucks on that model are the taillights... But it can be fixed.
@@Real_Redmist Good move on buying a 2019. Congrats. The most recent designs really fixed the weird rear end appearance. Still, you can't go wrong with a mustang. Just the sound of the V8 makes me smile.

Jacob Justus 42k miles for that year??? Wow my 16 gt has 18k miles & I even thought that was super low miles lol. Good price thou 👍
Of course all those mods may mean that the 60,000 miles were hard miles.
there is a channel called wrangle star. large homestead channel. recently made a video where he restored a old snap on jack with this very problem. u need to find the bleed port, get jack oil and then there is a procedure where after u fill it u take it to a full height one time and drop it down to cycle it and complete the bleed.
I bought a 2013 Roush supercharged 5.0 with 12k miles and clean title for $28k. Had Kooks longtubes, 3.31 gears, Recaros and aluminum driveshaft!
With other words... some TUNER gave a Mustang $ 9k worth of mods...
and then sold them with the Mustang being a bonus...
I'm jealous because I saw the listing for this car online. It's crazy to see it in this video!
you dodged a bullet, that cars gonna throw a rod.
What makes you say that?
Brian Alonso again why is it gonna throw a rod? Bc “common sense” explains nothing.
Just commenting to see the argument
Emmanuel chanda be doesn’t have one.
I loved it when he said man you have a full suspension. NO SHIT, what did you think it only had like half suspension.

the jack is low on oil. put oil in it.
Ya hydraulic oil is key...
Seals might have blown out on it too, which would explain low oil.

A lot of goodies on the 08 GT. great find. I had an 07 3v that put in well over 100 passes in the 1/4. Tons of mods left to make it his own
Oh yes. He has big plans for it
I had a similar encounter when i bought my 2006 subaru outback wagon.
That's seems nice. They hold their value well also.
I like these 08 mustang better then the newer one's , these look more like the classic old mustang, news ones don't look to good
THEY REEEEEEEEK OF ….FUSION......
That's what I said about the 14 they still have the mustang curves while thr new one looks like a hondo
nah the new 18 headlights look alot more aggresive than the 2015-2017. 2014 s150 is the best though
Try putting fresh hydraulic oil in your Jack and replace the o rings in it see if that works
What a F**kin score seriously for the price!. I found a similar set up at an auction near me and it went for $13k so he should be happy!.. Have fun with it and don't be like most Mustang drivers and curb it up all the time or wrap it around a pole in just a few months of ownership!. LOL
Those braces are good for circuit racing too. This owner might have tracked this vehicle. Nice car.
With that set up most likely only used for track and driving to the track and back. Such low mileage for the age of the car.
I love seeing these two dudes together. They look happy as fuck, and genuine as hell about their friendship.

Lol
Thanks ❤️
That's a Boss 429 type of hood scoop by the way. :)
Thank you!!! I've been looking online and couldn't figure it out. I can't believe I got so lucky. I had a 2009 5 years ago but had to let her go during a long custody battle (I won in the end). I plan on building up this one and keeping this one for good (forced induction in the future).
What engine am i looking at?
@Jerry Giesler, it's a 4.6L (SOHC 3V)
All those add on parts can be good or bad. Saved money or a lot of abuse...
You need some more oil/fluid in your jack, they usually leak n dries out
Man, what a gem you got there brother, and at a great price!!!
3 valve is a great car I bet the rear end has upgraded gears 3:73-4:10
Raise the car and take a flat blade screw driver and put the trans in neutral and turn the diff to get an idea what gear ratio you have.
No
Thinking there’s gears also, noticed the cover screws on rear diff had been removed several times before.
You may need to add hydraulic fluid to the jack
I would just get a new one. It's your safety at stake and could damage the car if it goes faulty
I'm guessing those are 60k hard miles? ;)
Exactly what I was thinking. This was a track car

Awesome thanks

The jack may be low on hydraulic fluid, which u can buy at harbor freight for less than $7, and u find the fill hole on the hydraulic cylinder, and fill. If it doesn't fix it, u need to tear down and replace o rings!
Ditch the bama tune
So you don't know Jack? That's funny, I don't care who you are.
Dude got a hell of a buy though!
That car was pretty sweet!
drain the hydraulic fluid from the jack, refill test add more if necessary.should be a obvious drain plug on it.make sure drain plug is positioned on top for total fill.
Harbor freight- aluminum floor jack = $89.00. Worth every penny.
Old jack looks low on oil, not worth messing with unless you’re hydrologically inclined.
Another option is to replace the bottle jack with a new one. Costs as much if not more than the harbor freight option...
Check fluid in jack if its full may have a compression leak

This is what happens when you purchase some x dope dealers car after car was returned to dealership or repo after owner gets sent to prison and dealership or auction has no idea what kind of money has been dropped into the car I experienced this back in the 90's after buying a 90's convertible mustang for so cheap I was sure it was a rebuild or just a real piece of trash but it looked dope but after driving it home and realized it was fast as hell almost ditched it trying to be cool in front of some ladies and when I got home and popped the hood to do a closer examination cause I had barely looked at it before cause the price was so good that it really didn't matter what was under the hood so now at home I looked again and it blew me away everything was after market performance parts I'm not a expert car guy but my friend is and is also a mustang guy owning 3 himself and he was so jealous and couldn't believe how much was done to this car and said there was literally nothing more that I could do to it except maybe put the next size up super charger on it but thought it was already set up perfectly anyways long story but I ended up finding out the previous owner was huge drug dealer and car was seized during a raid then auctioned off at police auction but when everything seems to good to be true it turned out it was because turned out that he also had serious enemies and even ended up having someone fire shots while sitting at the intersection in broad daylight hitting my driver side door but went into the seat luckily so I traded it to a custom car dealership the next day and got a good trade but was so unhappy that I had to give up this flawless 5.0 ragtop but it just something people need to remember when getting something like customized vehicles for to cheap to be right this video had me relive my experience so I decided it was story telling time lol.. oil the under of the metal on the car with fluid film, Honey oil or wax or whatever it is, It legit stops rust. Doesn't prevents whats there, but it stops it from corroding further. and it's just oil, so it wipes off, Unlike that rubberized undercoating some companies sell (which traps in moisture and rust horribly underneath) and when it peels away you have serious rust problem and potential frame damage. Nice stang. cya.
