I currently own the Nikon D5500 as my first DSLR. Lenses I use with it 18-55 kit lens, 18-200 Tamron lens newest version, and the Youngno 50mm lens which on my Nikon D5500 is like a 85mm. Great for Manuel filming
Hey Peter, I just bought this camera before I saw this video. I am a complete noob so I'm glad to hear the review you did on it! Can you give me any recommendations on lenses or attachments for the Nikon D5200? I'm using this mainly for photography.

+ruffdraft sounds like a killer budget setup
BVC Co. Not really the 18-200 tamron was like 160 pounds. And the Yongnou is like 70 pounds
@@ruff1draft I don't he meant a Budget killer. I think he meant a Great Budget setup.

Depends on what you're shooting - I'd say 35mm Nikkor 1.8 and 50mm f/1.8 would be a good start.
Thanks peter

You're welcome!
Can we attach external mic? Like rode mic?
Yes!
The rode micro works well with it. Update the firmware and use af-p lenses with it and it auto focuses fast as hell and no noise

Your voice is so good... Loved your work...
+Ovais Ahmed Hamdani Nikkor 35mm 1.8!
BVC Co. Thanks buddy...
My lumix G5 is a far better camera for video than my D5200, I actually wouldn't recommend any Nikon DSLR for video.

True, but only if you need auto focus.
After using it for some photo shoot, i kinda regret it :) im a beginner and suck at focusing and this af doesn’t help 😂
