I love this song so much that I got "bring the pain" tattooed on my hand right before seeing them perform it live. It's an experience I'll never forget. JK has even said he pushed it so much with the vocals while recording that he wasn't sure how he'd do it live, but the boy kills it. Hobi's part is so satisfying. The rhythm and flow, and the way he moves... One of my all-time fav BTS songs for sure.

They filmed it in the middle of the night in order to not disrupt traffic.There is a great behind the scenes for this song where they filmed with the UCLA marching band and a choir from LA. (Also the background vocals for JHopes track Ego). But it is worth watching, to see these musicians, singers and producers talk so positively about BTS. And lots of them are ARMY!💜

The Manifesto MV was filmed at the Sepulveda Dam in Los Angeles. You can hike to it through Balboa Park, but access is restricted, so I’m not sure if you can actually get to this specific spot or not.
There is a making of documentary from this era focusing on the instrumentals and vocals recorded at UCLA (I think) which is largely from this song although portions of other songs (Ego in particular) are also referenced. Look for “On Commentary Film: Diologue”. BTS themselves aren’t in it much at all but it shows the passion behind this project

I was posted to a makeshift clinic to be involved in Covid PCR testing for the migrant workers affected. I was also part of a mobile team that visited 3 different workers' dorms everyday to do Covid PCR testing. I worked in PPE in hot tropical weather without any air-conditioning, and by the time I was done for the day, it felt like I had just gotten out of a sauna. If you pay close attention to the lyrics of "ON", you'll understand why I listened to it everyday on the way to work, and why this was the song that kept me going. To BTS, the "BE" album was their pandemic album, but to me, their "Map Of The Soul: 7" album was my pandemic album, and "ON" was one of the songs in it.

The girl inthe begining was actually the choreaographer for this she was 19 at the time. When they are in the U.S they use her dance troop.
