Sorry for your loss dear. Pet owners have to deal with fleas here in Georgia (US). The only way we could really get rid of them is to 1. frequently bathe all pets in a flee repellant shampoo. 2. Spray all floors and upholstery with a flea shampoo. 3. Vacuum up dead fleas and flea eggs. 4. Repeat the process over and over. It also helped to keep grass cut low outside because fleas live better where there is lots of vegetation.

If you can, try and get some extra protection for your doors because my brother has his very expensive doors ruined by incompetent workers scratching the doors as they are carrying equipment in and out.
