    The lyrics fit his story so well. From living as a lower class black kid, to getting to the point of getting death threaths, and him saying repeatedly he's a marked man... truly a legend, esp. towards the end of his life when he evolved his views

    So many good, intelligent, decent & strong men who devoted their lives to positive change, and were truly capable of making it happen were murdered/assassinated in the 1960s. Malcolm X, Fred Hampton, Medgar Evers, Martin Luther King, Bobby Kennedy did effect change during their lifetimes, but would have accomplished far more had they lived. The world would be a far better place.

    I can guarantee you, that he would like you. This is because he left the Nation Of Islam, and he became an orthodox Muslim. See, the Nation Of Islam is only for black people. But when he went for pilgrimage to Makkah, he saw real Islam, with people from different backgrounds, nationalities, ethnicities, and races, all under one umbrella recognising each other as part of one race, the HUMAN RACE. And that is what Islam is about. So my dear friend, Malcolm would like you :)

    Cooke died at the age of 33 on December 11, 1964, at the Hacienda Motel, at 9137 South Figueroa Street, in Los Angeles, California. Answering separate reports of a shooting and of a kidnapping at the motel, police found Cooke's body, clad only in a sports jacket and shoes but no shirt, pants or underwear. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, which was later determined to have pierced his heart.[35] The motel's manager, Bertha Franklin, said she had shot Cooke in self-defense after he broke into her office residence and attacked her. Her account was immediately questioned and disputed by acquaintances

    It's interesting, that we discuss Bro. Malik in the context of the superficial. Yet, we miss the fact that his intentions were always good. He never showed an ounce of racism. On the other hand, his scope, his understanding appears to us; today, as being narrow, because of the time. Which it would was no different than a brother or sister during the time of legalized apartheid in South Africa (Azania). Or a Muslim in Algeria. Let's not forget Bro. Malik's limited understanding of Al-Islam

  • @5af1

    @baba6323 I'll think you'll find William Wallace isn't hated by the English (I assume that's who you mean by "british," as the Welsh have no reason to hate him and the Scots love him) at all. In fact, and it's probably worse, most people here are completely unaware of his existence. Those who are aware of him, admire his cause and his bravery in the face of adversity.

  • @Lauppiee

    i like they understanding that you just made, but if you are a good persoon i think that he would like you as well. 3.18 say's anough

  • @TheThing88
    @TheThing88 14 років тому

    @baba6323 I'd also hesitate to make claims about white americans' attitude toward Malcolm X - youtube comments are not an accurate representation of the general public's opinion, and popular research says otherwise - just take a look at the amount of tributes, awards and holidays exist in his honour, then look at the names behind all of them and you'll be surprised at the number of white people behind them.
    In other words, get your facts straight before you make massively sweeping statements.
