Man, The Miz can be amazing when he is tearing people to shreds on the mic and has 20 minute matches with Dolph Ziggler. They are really doing him dirty right now, which is hilarious considering he has the MITB briefcase. He is a tad small, but he CAN be good.
Thats why I disagreed completely with Corney and Brian. If you have been paying attention the dead weight is clearly Morrison as he still cant cut a promo and outside of rock hard abs and flashy moves, he brings nothing really to the table. Miz is everything you mentioned and can do more if they would stopped saddling him with Morrison

No one else wrestles like John Morrison does. Not everyone needs to cut 5 minute promos and they both have strengths, its their booking that has dragged them both down.

Impact isn't what it was even without the pandemic. Lucha Underground dumbed itself out of business, with a little help from AAA admittedly. AAA is Mexico, which isn't the easiest place to get to with a pandemic, and he's got some grudges with some of their bookers anyway. Deal with Dunn or deal with Vampiro. Vampiro's probably gone by now, but was he when it was time to negotiate contracts?

I feel Ruby Riott’s appeal is that she, and to a degree Liv, really put up a struggle just to get a win in, which is somewhat entertaining. When she was on the verge of beating Shayna but passed out at Survivor Series I was on the edge of my seat, good shit.

Survivor Series was able to get peak Otis wrestling action and I wish there was more of it. He can be good but his matches are so damn formulaic.

Yes, when they first started pushing him. The trailers for their production trucks were wrapped with giant pictures of the Miz's face. Kofi Kingston was the defending champion, Legacy were wrestling Triple H and John Cena. Certainly the two time All American Jack Swagger was a bigger threat to Kingston, surely former US Champion Carlito's desire to regain his belt an easier sell. Ted Dibiase Jr was the man with the most potential on this card according to WWE's own magazine. People were swarming for their chance to be bearhugged by Mark Henry, Mickie James got more of a reaction than The Miz, but letting Burton know Miz was in town was the priority. Not the WWE logo, as per usual, but Mike Mizan!
He ended up being my first channel changer in WWE, against stiff competition. He beat out The Great Khali!

A bit fuckin harsh on Hikaru Shida lol. We all know she's only there cos of Kenny Omega's Yellow Fever but I felt she had a good year and that she's one of the best of a bad bad bunch in that division. She also seems to be trying her best at English too. Riho couldn't talk English to save her life.
Yes i sort of agree, but her matches are mostly the same. Same moves, same spots, etc. Her and Abadon had an interesting dynamic, but putting her against one of the 'pretty girls' is usually a disaster.
If I never have to watch a Riho/Shida vs Rose match again it’ll be too soon. Good god talk about boring, incompetent wrestling.

I saw John Morrison wrestle just a few months before he made his WWE return and his in ring work was on point AJ Styles was also on that card and his work was excellent as well my wife had never seen either one wrestle so she was high impressed and excited to see that kind of skill at an Indy show and I actually enjoyed the Miz when the WWE was still hey watchable program
I encourage everyone to look at a raw poster from the 90s-2012 compared to todays top guys it’s literally painful to look at. Not to mention the worst gimmicks of all time.

The reason why Jim isn’t fond of Miz really is because he’s exactly what Russo said companies ought to do. Get actors instead of wrestlers. What bothers him most is the fact that Miz actually proved the theory possible. Love him or hate him, Miz came in with almost no athletic ability or knowledge about wrestling, yet somehow managed to learn the ropes, and had a number of big runs holding almost every title in the business, notably the IC title. He feuded several times with Cena, and had the best runs against Ziggler and Ambrose.
Precisely, Cornette is well off on Miz. Not a great wrestler, but he carries himself like a star. More people can learn from Miz tbh

Well Miz did say that if he doesn’t main event mania this year...he will quit...I heard that somewhere...and I’m waiting for it..lol..
