What is the music at the very end of this vid?
Does anyone remember WCW Vs. The World that was one of thq first games that was awesome
2barrelSlim Yepp I had it
yea that was my first ps1 game. i liked it a lot. It's kind of hard to go back and play now that i've been spoiled by the wcw/nwo world tour and revenge games though since they are basically the same but so much better.
I agree
Awesome game plus it had wrestlers from japan with different names. Hayabusa Tarzan gato Abdullah the butcher onita and and several other Japanese legends in the game. Loved it
PS1? My brother naught it and was really good, I just didn't know the people so felt fake even though wasn't lol
I still play No Mercy and Revenge on my n64.
Nostalgic or not idc those are still some of the best games of all time! Otherwise the list might just look like W2K (16'-15'-14') etc.
Your_Savior_23 don’t blame you. I miss games like those
I still play wcw/nwo revenge on N64 too.
I still consider Revenge to be the best, maybe it’s nostalgia
Wreatlemania dude, beat N64 wrestling game. I'd play that now for shore.
26:09 WCW went "bust" Because AOL pulled the plug on it.
hi Eric
@@neilyringworm hi mark.
With the amount of quarters I'd spent on WWF WrestleFest back in 1991, I'd have had enough to bring America out of debt.
+SnakeMan227 Explain To Me Why Undertaker Wasn't Included In The WrestleFest Original Game
Or Randy Savage
SnakeMan227 They Fucked Up Big Time By Not Adding Those Two Into The Game
@@jonathanwashington3065 Undertaker wasn't as popular as he is now, and Randy was retired during the period (He was spending more time with Miss Elizabeth, and he was going off the 'roids as well, which explains why he used a shirt when wrestling during the 90's)
I was a huge fan of WWF back then, and an even bigger fan of the Royal Rumble. Needless to say, the first time I ever saw WrestleFest, my head nearly exploded. It was so beautiful.
This is a great list. For me personally, my favorite wrestling game ever made was Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth. It's fast paced, super fun, loads of secrets, and just generally is a blast with friends. I could talk about that game all day. Thanks for the video Kim.
18:38 HCTP, damn good pick.It was the game with the best roster ever until 2k14. Goldberg and Lesnar were both in that too. I don't understand why Goldberg doesn't allow them to put him in more games. It was a shock to see him in 2k14. I know he hates the company, but damn.
You know with your reasoning I cant object to Wrestlefest....I still to this day if I see that game at an Arcade will drop a few quarters...if only Arcades still existed
Around 8 minutes, animated picture of hulk Hogan looks exactly like Randy Hogan.
I keep coming back to this video. I really enjoy it. Good job Kim.
I think you owe the letter W about $50,000 in royalties.
don't worry; she saves that much alone by avoiding the letter R
Wow, interesting how you called me a bully for a video that I made, yet here you are going in on someone for a speech impediment that is out of their control. You people are phenomenal.
GrappleVision
lol, internet.
Wwestling
This guy can’t say the word rustling why is he making videos about it...lol
I laughed so hard when Tatanka debuted. Im sure no one saw that dances with wolves movie. Right?
i remember drooling over wrestlefest at the arcade and all the older kids would hog that shit
It's very sad that most of the wrestlers featured in the "Wrestle Fest" arcade game are no longer with us today.
+Clarence Boddicker Your name and pic literally has me in hysterics. Well done sir, well done.
'can you fly Bobby...' :)
Steroids...
I fink you mean "no wonger wiv uz"
It's not a metaphor for good versus evil, it literally IS good versus evil.
Great video... and I have to agree with you for the most part. No Mercy is probably my favorite as far as gameplay goes but there is something about Wrestlefest that tugs at the heartstrings and brings me back to a much simpler time in wrestling
Not much of a wrestling game fan at all, but it's always good to see videos like these. Seeing what some people consider the best/worst of a particular genre :)
THIS VIDEO = THAT F*CKIN COMFY FEELING!!
11:49 Actually there was Rage in the Cage for Sega CD.
this video's finely really brought me to tears, I'm just a sucker for Retro games winning over modern 3D titles anytime of the week, this is the most fun I've had all week and even tops off the master piece the star wars video was at least in my book, keep it up buddy and God bless.
Mr Kimble you forgot about WWE Day of Reckoning on the Gamecube!
*Kim
You mean dway of weckoning
Great video, it's a shame that WWF Superstars for the GameBoy WWF Royal Rumble didn't make the list if your a fan of the arcade wrestling games.
Oh how about WWF With Authority - PC as a special mention?
Games missing from the list too
Wrestlemania Challenge - NES
WWF In Your House - PC / Saturn
WWF King of the Ring - Gameboy
A weally good wound-up of woyal wumbling, Wowdy Woddy Pipering, wock and woll westling.
I've now got a weally stwong urge to go and watch that episode of Only Fools and Horses.
CWYYYYYYYIIIINNNGGGGG.....
SuperJimUK LMAO
Here comes the pain is the best wrestling game ever, end of
Yes!!
I'm guessing you never played No Mercy...
WCW/NWO Revenge and Wrestlemania 2000 on the N64 are probably the best wrestling games I have ever played.
woyal wumble
I remember playing Tag Team Wrestling on the C64 back in the 80's. I played it quite a lot. You could shove your oponnent into the ropes launching him back to you and then drop kick him out of the ring, following him and whack him with a chair. All this in a game created in 1983! (I also played a wrestling game called Cage Match a lot at that time, but allthough it was wrestling it wasn't WWF stuff but versus aliens and stuff as far as I can recall. Still that one also was a lot of fun)
This game hit me with soo much nostalgia it's not even funny! Love your channel man.
The amount of quarters I pumped into Wrestlefest were easily in the hundreds
Amazing list! And I completely agree that wrestlefest is the most fun I've ever had with a wrestling game!
WCW Vs. The World really set the stage for what was to come. I played that and World Tour for hours and hours. I HEAVILY anticipated Revenge, WM2000, and No Mercy. So, yeah I really think one of those two games should be on the list, if not both
Being a Playstation + Smackdown man I missed it back in the day, but I have recently discovered Day of Reckoning (2) on the Gamecube. Hands down the best wrestling game ever (along with Wrestlefest, of course).
It even beats my beloved HCTP.
Great gameplay, great graphics and animations and it was obviously made by hardcore wrestling fans. It has all the small touches I was always crying out for in Smackdown, most important of all: the theme music is queued up so it hits AS SOON as you get the three count. Magic.
Awesome list man thank you so much it took long but was worth it! No mercy was my favorite game of all time and wrestlemania 2000
No love for Day of Reckoning 1 or 2? Also, add Warrior to that memoriam list at the end.
WCW vs nWo Revenge was the 2nd game, WCW vs nWo World Tour was first. I believe it was released in Japan first as Virtual Pro Wrestling. Anyway, used to play the shit out of that game!
I used to love WWF WrestleFest, well put Kim, it did capture it all better than anything else.
Another shit one for the list is "Microleague Wrestling" for the Commodore 64. I used to have that game back in the 80's. It came on a single floppy disk. On one side was the match, "Hulk Hogan vs Macho Man Randy Savage" and on the other side was "Hulk Hogan vs Paul Orndorff". You would put the side of the disk in for the match you wanted, selecting the wrestler you wanted to play. The game would then play cut scenes of the before the match interview using digitized photographs of the wrestlers to simulate animation. It would do each wrestler's entrance like this too. The actual game involved each player, or computer opponent picking one of 10-12 moves, the computer would then decide which player hit the move, and the computer would play a cut scene made up of digitized stills of the wrestler performing the move on the opponent. When enough damage was done, the option to pin came up. It was pretty simple and slow. It was neat at the time because "WOW !!! THERE'S VIDEO ON MY COMMODORE 64!!!" But kids nowadays would be driven mad by how slow and simple it is.
Never Thought I Would Hear Of A British Elmer Fudd Until Now.
Nice work. I dont mind your speech impediment, I think its kind of endearing actually. Plus that Owen Hart gag made me legitimately LOL, I'm a sucker for gallows humor.
I used to love wrestling games as a kid but not anymore :/ I grew out of them. I got into them after playing WCW nitro on the PS1. It was my first wrestling game
The wwf wrestling games justified my N64 purchase at the time. Though the smackdown series ps1 games were good....
It's still real to me, dammit!
Not to me
Hulk had an insightful way of looking at it from the perspective of the men in the ring...basically, as he sees it, the outcomes might be scripted but it's not fake because they do their own stunts.
"Super nintendough maybe a great gaame..." That crack me up :')
The wock came into our westauwant for a beef on weak..And the West of the week he had wibs, wavioli and wigatoni
Thought Sega's Royal Rumble arcade would be up your street! Agree with Wrestlefest #1 for sure.
Also, tracing back Technos' Wrestlefest and Superstars you come across Mat Mania released by Taito but developed by Technos, has a lot of similarites and looks like same basic engine.
I agree WrestleFest from the arcade is a true gem. If I could, I would have taken it home with me back in 1991. ;-) You should check out Saturday Night Slam Masters for the SNES, it's almost as much fun.
Those ECW games were atrocious. Absolutely atrocious.
first wrestling game I played was WrestleMania Arcade for the PS1 still my favorite to this day
I couldn't agree more. I've spent many hours and quarters playing Wrestle fest. Thank you for the memories.
Hitting my childhood right here. Hours upon hours of good times
my Top 5 Are - Number 1 WRESTLEMANIA THE ARCADE GAME, Number 2 WRESTLEMANIA XIX, Number 3 Smackdown VS Raw Serie's, Number 4 WWE2K14 and Number 5 ROYAL RUMBLE and SUPER WRESTLEMANIA for The SEGA MEGA DRIVE and Def Jam Vendetta is also a Great Wrestling Video Game too
As if European Rampage wasn't bad enough, they also got Nasty Boys Knobbs' and Sags' names mixed up. Lol
Woody Allen may not have been a fan of wrestling, but Andy Warhol sure as hell was.
I remember when my friends would come round mine to play No Mercy on my N64.
Thank you for putting wwf attitude on the list. I have so much fun to this day going back and playing this. Hottest time in the wwf with a fun a game thy brings back the good nostalgia. Moves looks like how they should, crowd noises, commentary, full entrances thy are good, finishes and other moves looked like how they should, matches was ok point, and good size character roster. My only negative about is no good story mode, but its not a big deal I play for the fun of putting my favorite wrestlers against one another.
I enjoyed my time with Attitude but good lord some of the crowd chants got on my nerves like them chanting "The Rock! The Rock!" instead of "Rocky! Rocky!"
I love wrestling, especially old wrestling, good times for sure ♥️
The owen hart one WHY DID YOU DO THAT
Hes a dick for that lol
He’s was definitewy wude
Great reviews, great soundtrack, great list.
Just discovered your channel! Awesome work my friend. You have me hooked on your videos.
King of the Ring for Game Boy should've been on the "worst" list. Everyone had the exact same moves, there were no special moves, the moves did literally hardly any damage (took so long to finish a match), the sprites looked ridiculous, etc.
Very good video. I'm starting Here Comes the Pain again, I played this game so so much. My #1
i love this video. not cuz you helped me take my mind off of the fact that my colon is trying to push out turds but cuz i remember all these games too. anice shit and nostolgia first thing in the morning, this is shaping up to be a decent day so far. thank you sir.
I loved Attitude and filled up memory cards with my own creations. You could create your own fed (with a bit of imagination) and pit them against each other. The Milo vs Clawhammer feud is fondly remembered. I was only a kid of errr... 31 when it came out.
wow just love that "NO SELL" by warrior at 0:32
Apparently, he's never touched the WWE Day of Reckoning games on the Cube. The most fluid controls with a near flawless character creation system. Both had amazing rosters before all wrestling games were integrated into the Smackdown v. Raw line. Can't complain about Smackdown v. Raw, though. The first game had a classic character roster that included Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Ultimo Dragon, Iron Sheik, Dean Malenko, Mr. Perfect, Stone Cold, Lesnar, Hardy Boyz, etc. Oh, and Fred Durst... lol.
>WWE and WCW list only
>Cites an ECW game
Shit #9: no Hogan/warrior were also playable on Wrestlemainia challenge for the NES.
I loved how you used the Quebecers theme for the shit games 😁👍
really enjoyed watching - great memories! thanks a lot
WWE 2k14 in my opinion is really damn good. Though my favorite WWE game would have to be here comes the pain. The roster was great, the gameplay was damn good, and the season mode was pretty good too.
The N64 games were fantastic. They were so meaty, visceral and well-animated that when I migrated to the Playstation 2 games (Smackdown etc) everything seemed so weightless and stiff.
my top 3 will always be
1 WWF no mercy
2 WCW mayhem
3 WWF smack down 2
worse 3 for me
1 WCW backstage assault
2 WWE 2k15
3 WWF attitude (hated them dam button combos)
Attitude,no mercy and WrestleMania 2000 are the best wrestling games of all time
Watched the 3 and a half minute intro. Came to top 10 good and it was wcw mayhem. That's it for me folks.
You forgot wrestlemania 2000
Westlemania 2000. No R.
Beeeeeeaaast!
Top 4 reasons to own an N64 in 2023:
4) WCW vs. nWo World Tour
3) WCW vs. nWo Revenge
2) WWF Wrestlemania 2000
1) WWF No Mercy
About 3 days after watching this video, I found WCW: Backstage Assault at my local retro game store for 2.00$, and bought it. Don't judge.
@15:14 AKI & THQ did train to make nothing but wrestling games 😂
WWF No Mercy for N64 should be #1 good. To this very day it's still the best wrestling game of all time, and I have major doubts of it ever being dethroned. My buddies and I pumped our parents quarters into WrestleFest like mad back in the day, but it's still inferior to No Mercy.
Doing kid man's shooting star halfway up a cage on thunder was weird
my favorite is Smackdown 2 Know your role on PS1
With a reupload comes an excuse to watch this again.
Hogan and Warrior were both in the Wrestlmania Challenge I think.
WCW v The World was good PS1 game but trust me I picked up both WCW Nitro and WCW Thunder...and Mayhem because I wanted a good WCW game so badly. I took Thunder back in the end because even I had to wake up to reality and I only ever played Backstage Assault because my younger brother hired it out from Blockbuster.
I feel like one of the weird ones that thinks WCW/nWo Revenge > WWF Wrestlemania 2000 > WWF No Mercy
Now that we are staring down the barrel of WWE 2K18 what are your thoughts? We have a huge roster, a huge amount of customization options, you can scan in your face and the logos from the Mayhem Rising or Rock Eagle shirts you have, or Commander Shepard's face and the space armor she wears, or anything you want really. You could have backstage brawls, there is a lot of flair and polish on the presentation, an in depth career and season mode where you can brawl with someone for months before they decide they just respect you that much that they want to form a tag team. All these nice little touches from hearing Paige scream in her intro and during the match to being able to customize Undertaker's entrance to be closer to the pyros and theme of Attitude Lord or Darkness or Ministry. For my money just the sheer fact you can download so much awesome content and then make up the rest makes this the best wrestling game.
there was me thinking the W in wrestling was silent
20:35: One of the "widiculous fings" you see in the game is Vader doing "insane flip pile drivers?" That move is called a sunset flip, and Vader did it many times in real life, especially early in his career.
Brilliant video really enjoyed it
Really enjoyed this video! Thanks
The worst WWF game is, in my eyes, WWF Betrayal for the gameboy colour. I thought I was getting a wrestling game. I got a terrible streets of rage wannabe with basically a regular punch combo and a poorly animated finisher to do. 4 characters that all played identically and I had actually completed the game in 20 minutes. Whilst walking around a market and then a high street, so clearly having to pay attention to what was around. Maybe it didn't make the list because it wasn't a pure wrestling game, but my god, what shit!
My top 3 where warzone on PS1, wreatlemania on N64 and WWF game on master system (yes it was crap but nostalgia, I had nothing else)
Wrestlefest over Simpsons backyard wrestling!
People are just constantly ignoring the amazing WWE Day of Reckoning games on the Gamecube.
I still own a copy of WWF Attitude and I still play Here Comes The Pain.
WCW: Backstage Assault was a game I absolutely loved back in the day. Everyone else hated it, but I thought it was pretty awesome. There were so many weapons, areas, and unlockable wrestlers. The game certainly hasn't aged well though.
I loved wcw backstage assault as a kid still play it years later
@@stevenlochrie3951 Well, it's cool to hear from someone else who also appreciates that game. It may have been far from perfect, but it was a very unique and interesting idea. It's just a shame that EA was the one to do it, as it would have been pulled off much better by Asmik Ace Entertainment & AKI Corporation.
@@JMFSpike if the kept the graphics like mayhem I think the game would have been better
No Day of Reckoning? That's like saying Dreamcast didn't exist!
I really enjoyed this list, took me right back.
Kim: Have you ever had your Backstage Assaulted? I've heard its quite boggy 'round thar. A man could easily lose his wellington.
When I play WrestlerFest for the first time I was 11 or 13 :D , good stuff mate
My top wrestling games.
1.WWE 2K14
2.Fire Pro Wrestling returns
3.WWF No Mercy
4.Here comes the pain
5.WrestlerFest (arcade)
6.Tecmo Wrestling (nes)
7.WCW World Championship Wrestling (NES)
Maybe WWE 2K16 is gonna do some changes in my list, the animations are really fluent and also I cannot imagine the creation mode for indies wrestlers.
Top worst
1.wrestlemania (nes)
2.WCW superbrawl (Snes)
3.WWF Attitude
4.Day of Reckoning
5.WCW vs the World
I know it's your opinion but seriously, how can you not like Day of Reckoning? It is one of the best wrestling games ever made (in my opinion obviously)
T ekkendero day of reckoning is great
Imma just say strait up Kim Justice rules. Hulk may rule but that does not preclude Kim Justice from also ruling.
