Chad, you are very talented. I'm not bad ..but I am not as good as you. I am new on this activity (despite been 80 year old), I do lathe to keep me busy, and I am learning looking at you all those little details very important that are like little secrets to make a master piece. Thank you. Roberto
This piece of wood clearly has a special place in your heart, whether or not there's a sentimental story associated. Watching every second of this video was mezmerizing, from the precise way each cut was made, to the elegant (sorry can't think of a masculine way to say that) way you held the tools. The piece is exquisite, thank you for sharing your artistry with the world!
Stunning! I wonder if the edge of the lid needed an ebony veneer to help delineate between the lid and the box, but this looks great! All the best. Ray
You NEED at least a few seconds of slow, close, well-lit panning or rotating shots of the final product. We need to see the detail, the pattern in the grain. Thanks for sharing with us.
Yeah, I agree. That was an oversight; the oiling and showing of the piece at the end shouldn't have been time lapse. I added a finished pic as the thumbnail, but I realize that doesn't show much. The full set of photos will be posted on my Instagram and Facebook tomorrow. Funny (surprising) thing is, on the viewer retention graphs most people drop off at the end of the turning, but before the photos I used to include, which is why I stopped showing a series of photos at the end and only show me holding and rotating the pieces at the lathe most of the time. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
@@ChadEamesWoodWorks I just re-read my comment and it was too harsh. I watched these videos because I love the work and want to try it one day. Keep up the good work.
Very nice job. Well done.

That is awesome Chad, love it!
Thanks so much!
What did you use for finish on this project?
danish oil
What do you use for finish oil? Very nice!
Thank you! I use a 1:1:1 mix of boiled linseed oil, polyurethane, and mineral spirits.

No worries... I'm glad you enjoy the videos and that you have an interest in turning. The world needs more woodturners!
