One extra thing about charge attacks is that usually when the only one the player uses in a match is Eliza's Sekhmet attack, the AI won't counter it outside of occasional grabs. However, if you do Eliza's regular charge attack (alligator mouth) at all, then the AI will suddenly have a brain and use whatever resources they have to counter the Sekhmet attacks.
feel kinda proud that over my years hyper-casually playing this game I figured a lot of these out myself. and yet I still mostly just spam snake bite with 3x wulfshoot on anything mildly difficult
Annie is also good for charge attacks AS LONG AS THE ENEMY IS IN THE CORNER, they have been a part of my Annie corner gameplay for some time now, and unless i'm abusing them, i'm always getting a couple of nice openings with it. You will need star power to actually get great value out of a charge attack, but even activating star power just to get the DP aerial dash will net you some nice damage. This is specially useful to get damage on some annoying Model Leaders by using Charge > Dash Attack > Jab 2 (3 hits) > DP with aerial dash > Juggle > Star power Re-Entry > Juggle > BB. This combo is 100% aerial, so it wont be blocked by Model Leader. With full SP you can even get a full Star Power activation from a charge attack Charge > Dash > Jab 2 > Sweep > Star Power > Jab 2 > DP, and from there you do your usual Annie.
This is a video I’ve always thought about someone making but I haven’t seen before, definitely very informative to have this all down somewhere. Also seeing a part of the strings that hold this game together is definitely a big moment. You kinda feel the patterns when playing, but to see it this direct was definitely an eye opening experience
This INFORMATION HELPS a TON. To force Ai to attack, i usually do D1>G2>D1>G4>The next move is up to you, either timed it with your normal hit or do special move or blockbuster. Which really is very helpful to pressure your opponents more in time.
Sometimes I feel as if the ai is more aware of my moves than before. I recall that by the beggining of the week, the ai is pretty much brain dead, reaching the end of the week it can even predict most moves I do.
This one was unexpected, but damn it's nice content. Very useful for people like me who are unaware of the AI intricacies and machinations, basically a must watch
3:31 I'm pretty sure Fortune AI basically takes one more D1 or G4 until she decides to counter. When other characters would try to retaliate she just holds block, but of course keep in mind that Fortune AI in general is more volatile (and more cracked) than other fighters.
Since Freeze Frame was mentioned, I'll say that her interaction with the AI is a bit interesting to me. The AI will almost always try to swap out at 5 stacks. At close range/medium range, the AI may still try to attack you, so you can bait out hits and carry on as normal. But this is luck dependent, so you have to go for combo extensions, stuns and good block strings. However, if you get to long range, they'll generally tag out. This seems to be especially true after eating something like bang bang bang full screen. You can exploit this to land free hits and combos on opponents tagging in. After the tag in it becomes a bit easier to stall since the opponent has to react like normal while the tag is on cool down. I use my Freeze Frame a lot, and I've found great success with Box Car, Shadow of Impending Doom, Argus and Bang Bang Bang (last slot I just leave on Hi Hi Birdie). Impending and Bang Bang Bang serve as combo extenders, and Impending also has a very high chance to proc stuns at level 15. Additionally, Box Car is a great mid and long range opener once you get a feel for when opponents will suddenly attack out of block, or as a way to poke to keep the opponent blocking if timed right. Between the combo extensions, throws, and block strings you can easily stall out for the stun if you choose. However, the knowledge of the AI's interactions with Peacock is critical. You have to have a good investment in her, knowledge of the AI, and knowledge of how to manipulate the AI into doing what you want for her to really shine. Once you have it down she's phenomenal and fairly consistent, but otherwise she's cumbersome and awkward to try to use. That's true of peacock in general, but more-so in my experience for Freeze Frame. It gives her a higher skill floor and ceiling imo than the other peacocks. I think a lot of players don't take the time to practice with Peacock though, so she gets written off more than she should, especially since the tag outs can seem difficult to deal with an counter productive. I would be curious if anyone else has thoughts on this.
Wish I had Freeze Frame. All I got was Dream Catcher. Edit: My strongest character is currently Inkling Peacock, which I play a lot. Love the thing to death!
Loved the video and the editing was so good! I also learned some stuff from this. I kinda figured this stuff out but you helped put it into words instead of just "they sometimes do this sometimes" lol
Fun fact on Umbrella AI ive noticed. Umbrella mix up on umbrella does not work and opponent will not let down there guard. She is excused from her own manipulation mix up.
This is what makes skullgirls A.I annoying if the A.I's health is lower or is 25% then they would choose to tag out, this is common especially in Master storymode, this can also happen if the A.I has 50% health(this depends also on where you are standing on the map if your further than the A.I they would block if your near there is a small chance that they would combo but will either block or tag out) Thats all!!
You said the pattern to cheese blocks is D1 / G2 / D1 / G4 / Launcher or Move, but why did it sometimes work using D1 / G1 / D1 / G3 in the video? Is there a rule to it? Maybe only some fighters can or against some fighters it works and with others don’t?
I highly appreciate all your contents which have helped me and my mates a lot in the game. It will be much better if I am allowed by you to re-up this video and others interesting pieces of in-game trick to my community in my own language. Please let me know if I can do it. Thank you and respect!
Could you someday make a guide that generally advises what type of stats to choose for each character? I'm asking you because within the game I don't think it's well explained how to improve one's moves, and although I've been playing sgm for a while, I still think I'm making a lot of mistakes.
@@co2mx In pf I've started with attack on round start as beo against another beo, sometimes I win, sometimes they win, and sometimes we trade. Not sure if there's reason to it

D1 means dash 1 meaning the attack that happens when you swipe on your screen and the number represents the number of inputs for the the attack. G4 means ground 4 meaning the attack that happens when you tap on your screen. D1 means 1 dash attack and G4 means 4 regular ground attacks. hope this helps and sorry if my grammar is bad english isnt my first language.

Eliza A.I. : *BARGING THROUGH X INFINITY*
Eliza really be having pride in her sweep 😭😭😭
I think that may be her favourite attack
Imagine ai in 5 years after this vid.
They'll focus more on dumb variants, don't worry
Let’s hope
Turns into chess ai
They're gonna play like sonicfox 😭😭
Headless fortune gameplay
Tip based on my personal experience: Big Band's AI will instantly use his unblockable blockbuster if you block one of his dash attacks
Exactly I saw that almost every time I fought him
True. And in the new update his dash attack removes buffs AND inflicts stun
One extra thing about charge attacks is that usually when the only one the player uses in a match is Eliza's Sekhmet attack, the AI won't counter it outside of occasional grabs. I only had a vague idea about these until today.
For me, I always throw my Death Wish at anything difficult. Especially Dahlia with NTTD.
For me, it's usually either Inkling Peacock or Graveyard Shift Valentine. I love both those variants to death!
Eliza be like "Charging through!"

Suddenly wulfshot or unblockeable

Great that my lady is good reference for this A.I pattern theories.

Nice content Kevin, and glad to know why the AI suddenly goes into ultra instinct when abusing characters with convenient intercepts too much🗿
Not about Ai is that they do not know what to do against Beo or Fukua dash for some reason

They should put awards in versus mode so that many players would actually play versus mode
