      As for Yakubu, his cov career consisted of him coming on as a sub, having a jog about and then feigning injury to be subbed himself.

    The club has had an unbelievable transformation. Feels like a proper club these days from top to bottom, the facilities at the training ground and stadium are very impressive. Mark my words it wont be long at all before back in the PL

      @@miloparker3638 I know, I'm torn on that. The prem is a deep pocket oligarch league, I'd hate to see city up there and turned into another belly button plastic club that in theory is 'Coventry' but in reality might as well be in Barcelona or Manchester. CCFC is a very authentic locally supported team and that's increasingly unusual for many prem clubs owned by people who don't live in the UK and who market their club more like US sport.
      Cup runs against much bigger clubs are thrilling - we should have been in the FA cup final. I'll be excited when city go up but also worry the club might lose its soul.

    And not one mention of our FA Cup run last season with epic performances against Wolves and Man U. The team building and character Robins has given us in his 2nd stint is amazing and I'm so glad we've been able to hold on to him. We have to get there this year...otherwise Doug may struggle to fend off bigger clubs coming in for him.

    • @RealmsOfThePossible
      @RealmsOfThePossible 2 місяці тому

      Robins is going nowhere, he said when he came back that his career ambition as a manager is to take a club to the premiership, why do you think he has stuck around for so long? He could have bailed and walked to a better job many times. This is the club he has chosen to reach his goal, he doesn't need the money.

    This video is worth it alone for the Avengers clip, nearly spat my drink out at that point.
    Last season was just a bit too much with the FA Cup where we were a toenail away from the final (United were gone on the pitch at that point). After such a crushing exit, the rest of the season just petered out, plus we lost one of our most exciting players in Tats for the season.
    Doug King has been fantastic for the club, really getting involved even though he's never been much into football. It's nice to have a chairman who actually seems to care (and his Play Off final video was fantastic).
    Also as a side note as a long suffering Cov fan that does roughly a 260 mile round trip each home game, it's nice to see us being talked about and giving credit where its due.
    ...Wait I mean MR is a terrible manager, no one should talk about him nope, send him to Coventry!

    You forgot sisu selling dom hyam for a 3rd of his market value to pay for the new pitch that wasps never replaced despite taking the cash to host the common wealth games. Sisu actually phoned up blackburn and asked if they were still.i terested in Hyam. Seeing our desperation they got him for 1.5m. Also by the skin of our teeth we avoided a points deduction after some serious brown nosing.

    3 insolvencies, 5 years in non league, due to unjust punishments handed out by a vindictive FA and FL, and we have never had, and still don’t, a large modern stadium holding over 30,000 people, providing a large income stream.....and for the record, Luton did all this with no millionaires, so as much as I admire Coventry, it’s nothing like the same story....... 🧡🧡🎩🎩

    Yes, it is impressive what Coventry has done, but it isn't on the same level as what Luton had to come back from --- 2009 - Minus 30, so affectively thrown out of the league before the season had started. 5 years in non-league playing teams that most "arm-chair" fans won't have heard of. We had "2020", they set out their ideas while we were non-league that by 2020 Luton would be a Championship club --- (Most supporters -- me included), initially dismissed this as delusional. We made The Championship in 2019. ---- We were promoted from non-league to League 2 in 2014 and to The Championship in 2019. That's pretty impressive.
    Coventry will get promoted to the premiershit in the next few seasons (it is an over-rated pile of crap geared up for armchair fans) --- I'm glad to be back in the best league "in the World".
    Wrexham's rise has started, but AFC Hollywood is getting far too much attention for my liking.
    See you at The Kenny for our final home game of the season. (Good luck for the season -- other than when we play you - obvs!!) -- Our fall and rise is in the link below.
