Thank you Dr Ann I've been putting too much pressure on myself regarding the issue of marks now that I've seen this video I feel a bit relieved and believe that I can get in..thanks
So wish you started doing UA-cam when you were still in med school like take us through your from there😭😭😭but it's okay coz am enjoying nangk, you really worked Doc❤️
@@DrAnn_Healthhub Hii Dr Ann, jus thought of asking if you know whether med schools accepts people who have upgraded their matric marks or it’s not a good idea at all?
Good morning dear Dr.Ann may you please tell me how about IEB-ISC that it is the first time to be applied this year for the international students ,grade 12 results are better than 11 so would Wits uni still considers grade 11th results more than 12th? We didn't receive provisional acceptance does it mean it is declined
Hey DR ANN THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING FOR US. So, I wanted to ask that when you want to be enrolled in a medical institution and your marks are not so good(like me currently upgrading my marks so as to ensure that next year I am admitted) . What are the bridging courses one can do in Wits university?
Hi so you just need to call the specific university you want to go to. For example Wits has BHSc (bachelor of health sciences). Most people will pick a BSC in Anatomy or physiology since they are core 2nd year subjects in medicine- these are available in all universities. All the best, 🤗
Hello Dr. Ann So I wanted to ask, I'm currently doing B.Nursing level 1 and we are doing Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology etc. Are there any chances of transitioning or getting admitted into mbchb before completing the course? Or I should just complete it first? Thank you.
Hi yes... It's possible. You can apply for first year and they might credit you for the courses you've done. You can also wait until you finish (if you don't get in) and apply via Wits GEMP. Look up the program. Also that's if you're doing nursing at a university and not college
Hi Dr Ann, do you recommend applying whilst in Gr 11 or in Gr 12? Also did you have to write a NBT test? And why do you think Medicine takes 5 years instead of 6 at UFS? PLEASE ANSWER 🥺❤️
1. Apply in grade 12 because they need your Dec grade 11 marks for application 2. I heard UOFS is 5 because they do the first year in one simester and 2nd year in another, now I'm uncertain about the level of difficulty. People from there can please comment... 3. Yes I wrote the NBT it was so difficult, I got 50s for the 2Math papers and 60 for English. Personally I don't think it matters that much, I know people I was in class with in varsity who didn't even pass it but got in. Like 30-40%
I am currently at UFS and it does in fact take 5 years because first year is technically only 6 months and "6th year" is also compressed into six months but I would say it is a bit harder to get used to since you have more work to cover and hospital hours to make up.
You wanted to be a bus driver? Yoh! 😅 You really were lost xeim why didn't you dream of being a criminal at least they make more money and faster?😂😂😂😂❤
Hi Dr Ann I have few questions about universities 1. Should relationships be considered during your medical coarse? what do you suggest 2.do you receive bursary due to your performance in university or in high 3. Do you get paid during residency years 4. Which marks are more important grade 11 or grade 12 5. Are NBT mandatory and important Thanks. If you have time 🙏☺️
1. Yes but later on after finding your feet 2. High school is important and you have to meet minimum requirements for entry, if transitioning from another course they also look at varsity performance 3. You get paid from internship. When specializing you get paid because you're still working full time while studying on the side 4. Grade 11 matters because that's what they need because gr12 marks come later. Health science Faculty normally close applications 30June. The only thing that speaks for you is gr11 at the time and gr 12 June results (if your school processes them fast enough) 5. NBT is mandatory but not important. So many people who got 30% for NBTs are qualified Drs by now.
Thank you Dr Ann I've been putting too much pressure on myself regarding the issue of marks now that I've seen this video I feel a bit relieved and believe that I can get in..thanks

Hi Dr Ann, would you advise one to consider medical school at 40s
Yes .. just double check age cut off for the different universities✨
Hi, I am in matric and am applying for medicine since you are a doctor what does the salary look like realistically?
