I also have to add that recently there's been some major reconstruction going on in El Paso, more of downtown is being remodeled and as an individual that lives here I couldn't be happier. More and more of El Paso is being cleaned up for the public to enjoy. So feel free to come visit.

    Lived there in the late 80s/early 90s working for El Paso Natural Gas Co. in the 'blue flame' building downtown. We parked at the civic center 'Sombrero' parking garage and walked a few of these same streets past the El Paso del Norte Hotel to/from the office. Eventually I was transferred by EPNG to Houston where I live today. El Paso was such a wonderful place to live and work. Fantastic people, culture, weather and (especially) food. I would have loved to have retired there but c'est-la-vie it just wasn't meant to be.

      There's a whole lot of back and forth on what buildings should be renovated and which ones should be knocked down to make way for new buildings with modern designs. A new arena was supposed to be built in the Downtown area, but one of the oldest neighborhoods in El Paso currently sits on that plot of land.

    Thank you for making me travel. I spend hours watching. I would really like to live on the west coast of the United States but unfortunately for me I live in Belgium 😒. Wonderful videos. Do you plan to visit Pasadena and Altadena in the near future? Good continuation. 👍

    El Paso was voted safest city in 2009 the same year juarez was the murder capital of the world. I lived there at that time. I snafus thought the city had a lot of energy. The people are wonderful some are not but it's a great city to live in and experience. You got to try the churroz from downtown. If he's still there

      just becouse the U.S. says Juarez, does not mean anything, they say Tijuana is the most dangerous city in the world, another lie, been living in Tijuana, a white dude for over 40 years unless you involved in Cartel stuff, you have a much higher chance of been murder in the U.S., less then 50 American citizens are murdered in the whole of Mexico, most believed for involvement in criminal activities, in the U.S. 15.000 U.S. citizens are murdered yearly, a lot of economic benefits comes from Juarez, Mrs. Chicana

    • @geraldarnoult
      @geraldarnoult 3 роки тому +1

      And Merida Mexico was voted the safest city on planet earth behind Quebec Canada, the danger in Mexico unless you seek that life out is blown way overboard, U.S. reports know they can sell this to people who don't know Mexico, not saying there is no problems in Mexico as in anywhere else, lets put it this way, if given the choice I would walk through what's considered the worse neighborhood in Tijuana at 3:am before many neighborhood in the U.S. at 3am, like New Orleans, New York, Detroit, Chicago, L.A. and many other U.S. neighborhoods at 3:am.. in the U.S. everything is politics and race

      Only taking murder statistics from specific nationalities is what's making you believe that Tijuana or Juarez are "safe." For the vast majority of their inhabitants they're not. Just because you live in a nice area doesn't mean the city at large is. I sincerely hope that it doesn't get you killed one day.

    The people that say they hate El Paso are single people who want action and the party life
    Yes you can find that here but not in over abundance
    Its a family city with great communities for every budget and it's very safe and predictable which some people dont like
    I love it here way better than most places in say California for example or even AZ and Vegas
