I loved web of shadows' combat but I don't think it would fit in a game that's trying to capture that realistic feel. WOS' combat felt cartoony at times.
She-Venom Good I'm so fucking sick of the black suit. I love Spider-Man and I've been following not only the films, but the comics and shows as well and I just can't explain enough how sick I am of seeing the black suit. Like it's such a cheap copout for costume space. I mean there's a very high chance it'll be an unlockable in the game that is unless they've deconfirmed it but really I would like to see more stylized costumes, like Sam Rami costume, 60s costume, MCU costume, yanno? What would be really cool is to finally see the Spider-Man Unlimited costume.

I get it too. I remember getting that feeling when i was little and we went on car rides on steep roads. Also on that one part in Sonic Adventure 2 in the forest level when you swing on vines.

Since I saw the trailer for this and saw an update on social media concerning the pre-order bonuses, I have been very interested in finding out how this game itself will turn out. Thanks to the video you have created, I have considered this product a bit more and may actually end up getting it. I was iffy in the beginning due to another game I had pre-ordered some years ago, failed to meet expectations. But, again I will be able to research more on this game and do a follow up on things as they release. That being said, here is to another spidey game for us all to enjoy!
Just to let you know the devs confirmed that every costume including preorder bonus costumes are unlockable to everyone in game. You dont have to preorder to get a costume.

The aerial and wall based combat moves, a nice story with Symbiote versions of many of our favourite Marvel characters, yeah, even Shattered Dimensions with it's 4 Spider Men couldn't really beat that game
I'd gladly take 60fps over 4k on the pro if I could. It's the kind of game where the slickness of combat and web slinging would look amazing in 60fps. Having played all the Spider-Man games available on PC at 60, will make it kinda hard to go back to 30.
that fps will be very important gameplaywise since its one of the most acrobatic superheroes, i hope they stress test evrything becasue i really dont want to see choping frames while swinging, fighting or fleeing from enemies, also, talking about it, i want to know how they are going to make the camera work, i remember playing spiderman 2 on ps2 was kinda messy, the way those developers got throught that were making the enemies and projectiles slow and make it very clear when something is shot, but still the camera was sometimes in the way when trying to swing high up while fighting or fleeing from it
One thing I love about the traversal is that you see spidey jumping and flipping over whatever is in his way like he's free running, he's running up buildings, jumping through them, it looks like a lot of fun.
I think that's what they're going for. They just hired Square-Enix to develop an Avengers game that supposedly exist in the same universe as this game.

Speaking of replayblity, there will be no Microtranstions in the game. The fuck do those things have in common? Do you mean if there was Microtranstions you would only play it once or the fact that there isn't makes you wanna replay it as support for not having Microtranstions.....but that implies you would still play it once and in order to play it once you need to buy it...which is supporting Microtranstions as you are still buying a game with them...ulness you steal it somehow or borrow I guess. I loved the video, that shit just threw me through one hell of a loop.
Microtransactions have robbed games of replayability. Some companies would rather sell content instead of provoking consumers to replay certain missions or objectives to unlock it. Of coarse I could replay the game over but it'll get old fast if there's not much to grind for. When people catch wind of this they avoid buying the game all together.

Being a PC player on a daily basis and playing all of my games at 60fps, turning on my PS4 and playing this game at locked 30fps will probably give me eye poisoning for the first couple of hours. But I'm not about to miss out on a game like this just becuase of low frame rate.
Never cared about a game being locked at 30fps the game is still gonna play smooth and have that cinematic look and feel. I never got the whole frames thing. Back in the day we all didn't care about frames, so why is it a super big deal now. The only time a game should absolutely have to have 60fps is if its only, like a first person or racing game. If the game is at a constant 30fps with no hiccups then I'm fine with it. I understand people for wanting all games in 60fps though, I'm just one of those people that don't care about it like that as long as the game is good. just my opinion.
When you have consoles like PS4 Pro and Xbox One X that are claimed to be high end gaming devices it's kinda mandatory. 60fps is just 1 of those things that ensures that the gameplay will be buttery smooth.
That's true. I never really got into the ps4 pro and xbox one x thing. It just felt like they were cash grabs, to me atleast. I would be very happy with 60fps, but I'm not really upset that its at 30fps, as long as it stays consistent.

ChoperJoJo lol it really isn’t. If a game is running at a consistent 30fps then it’s still gonna run smooth. 60fps does ensure that the game runs smoothly but it can also have hiccups if it’s not consistent.
I like how they have Spiderman save everyone he can. It's not one of those "debris fell and it just so happened everyone was gone at that point." No, they show him taking care of everything. Like at the end of this video, they show him not only taking care of the bad guy, they show him multitasking to stop the helicopter debris from killing civilians. More games need to do this and I feel like the subject was never really touched 100% until The MCU's Civil War. It looks like they are applying that aspect that, as much as Spiderman wants to get the bad guy, he's always going to save people first. I love it.
30fps is fine for an open world console game especially a densly packed one like Spider-Man and if they're trying to not have load times. But I don't care what it takes, get me a Spider-Gwen DLC or something for this game. I've been waiting to play as my girl and not in that Lego game. Also Iron Spider from Infinity may have been leaked as the next preorder suit. But they're all unlockable in game too. Give me suits like Old Man Spider, Movie Amazing Spider Man, Aaron Aikmans Spider-Man, Future Foundation, hell find a way to give me SP//dr, Spider-Britain, Tokusatsu Spider Man, Manga Spider-Man. Ya boy wants it all.

I honestly saw it coming. Sony's putting more of their investments into games and Spidey is 1 of their biggest products. Plus Activision doesn't own the publishing rights anymore.
Another nail in the coffin for Microshaft and their abysmal sales and lack off attention to what matters on consoles. But hey, their loss. Sony and Nintendo both wipe the flaw with them in terms of their stake in the market and what they do best: selling high quality, unique games.
It's possible if Sony decides they want to share the I.P. with a 3rd party developer. They did with Activision for years who released the game on multiple platforms.
There's been 60FPS games on the PSX and Saturn as well. The thing is, it's a balance between FPS, graphics, processing speed, raw talent, etc. Saying the PS2 had 60FPS games is irrelevant as that was a far weaker console compared to today. Besides, I think part of the reason people would consider these new gen consoles as "underpowered" is to be affordable. And when a console is super expensive, it will fail. It's, I think, the reason why later PS3 models dropped the PS2 backwards compatibility.
I wish they would do what they did on Rise of the Tomb Raider. You can change it in the options between optimize for frame rate (which locks it at 60fps but downgrades graphics), optimize for graphics (best graphics but does not lock frame rate) and best of both (best graphics best frame rate). Playing with 60 fps is so smooth and reactive that I don't even notice the lower graphics.

Movies run at 24 fps. Also there is a difference between watching a movie and playing a video game, in that video games are interactive. I normally am fine with 30fps, but I won't say it looks better than 60fps because it doesn't.
While I won't say the "cinematic 30FPS" excuse is completely valid, I will not also say that some sort of self imposed limitation in some aspect of the game shouldn't be done. Granted the 30FPS is probably there because it might tax the system otherwise.

A “pre-order” is just to reserve a game and possibly get special add ons that no one that has not pre-ordered will such as the 3 spidey suits with this Spider-Man game it’s probably the most smartest choice to make because everyone one will be in and out of game stores that would’ve purchased it, and I bet that some game stores will go out of stock in the first week from the amount of people that will buy this
Honestly, I'm fine with mobile games as a concept. Just not that the concept has been made to turn "Players into Payers". I mean, I had the android version of a Dead Space game and it was awesome.
As long as you can beat the game without ever having to buy anything i'll keep defending mobile games to the death. The real problem is the prices. $50 for 10 random characters? Get the fuck out of here. Maybe $5 at the most for 10 characters, and those mother fuckers better be highest rarity ones that i don't have yet. Besides that all that getting rid of mobile games would do is fuck over people that like certain mobile games. And nobody benefits from that. As for other micro-transactions, fuck em. The only micro-transactions i would like is like the early weapon unlocks for games like Battlefield. And even if they keep those, they should keep people that buy them on different servers or some shit.
Keep in mind pre order suits can be unlocked by anyone regardless of having the pre order or not. You can get them later on in the game anyway so you'll be good no matter what.
I do not expect Kaine. But I'd love it if he was there. Would be even amazing if the Kaine costume had Kaine's powers. Like, even holding enemies causes damage and stuff. Also, imagine if they had a "Kid Mode" and it was Captain Universe being playable.
Keep in mind this is a PS4 exclusive. The purpose of exclusives is to convince people to buy the console, so loads of effort goes into making them and since they mostly want to sell consoles, they don't tend to bother with microtransactions. That's why there weren't any in God of War.
He's the exact representation of 15 year old spider-man. A kid, like he should be during his high school years. In the movies, he does and says kid things, like he should. This is why people like him so much. Tobey Maguire was a good, adult spider-man, but Andrew Garfield was did not come across as a high schooler imo.
What I wanna see is the Webs not clipping through lamp posts. Like, when you swing low and your web touches a lamp, spidey swings around it. Culd help build momentum since it's physics based.

Most Spidey games have a butt load of different suits,but since the comic story Spider-Verse,which this game seems to be kinda hanging around that area in comic turns, what if they had Spider-Gwen, gots to have Spider-Punk, hes my new favorite. Im very curious as to how they are gunna do the story. Showing the battle with Martin Li, that story arch is a few years old. None of this matters as long as the game is good. Looks amazing, heard it plays amazing, so Im stoked. Now I just gotta get a PS4.
Things I hope are in this one: leveling up(as you stated), being able to make choices(ie Web of Shadows), and just random fun minigames(like the races with human torch in Ultimate Spiderman). Lots of ingame unlockables would be cool too, like a bunch of suits or unlockable comics.
imagine if there was a part of the game where spidey gets trapped in the raft and there is a mass super villain breakout of not only spidermans villains but many villains of the larger marvel universe. Iron man villains, Hulk villains, Captain America villains, Xmen villains etc.
Just a heads up; the Raft isn’t an underwater prison featured only a “few times” in the comics. It is a cornerstone feature of the 616 universe and the go-to, epitome of superhuman incarceration in the 616. Also, in print the RAFT is a satellite installation island prison situated a short distance from Ryker’s Island penitentiary. It was only ever reimagined as an underwater facility when we briefly glimpsed it in the MCU. Just felt like pointing that out, after all; the devil’s in the details.
60 fps is nice, but not all that necessary in my opinion. The exceptions are 1) If the game has pvp since you can't have dropped frames at like any time in that case 2) The game is on PC, because PC can always handle it and using a mouse feels off at anything less than 60fps. The game will still run well and 30 fps on console is only an actual problem if the game drops frames more than 5% of the time, which is what 60 is mainly there to counteract outside of multiplayer sync (otherwise, it's still a number for people to drip over without knowing what it actually does).
if you were a true web-head, you'd know the unlockable costume teased at in the trailer could be the classic suit, BECAUSE its dark. when Ditko was penciled spiderman, he was originally red and black, with blue outlines on the black. Romita then changed the style a little by removing the armpit webbing and making him red/blue
The og spider suit isn’t dlc insomniac said it is the first suit you play as then he makes the suit in the trailer later on given the name “Advanced suit,” the 3 movie suits are in the game and this game will contain ORIGINAL suits made specifically from the gam I got this info from some Insomniac tweets.
I'm hyped for this. We haven't had a great Spidey game since Web of Shadows. I just hope we play entirely as Peter. Just keep Miles on the back burner, please.

I know we've not seen the release material for the game, but from what I've seen this definitely feels like a throwback/improvement to the good 'ole PS2 Spiderman 2. I'd like to see a Spider-Gwen add-on fully fleshed out as a standalone, separate universe.
I really doubt it but wouldn't be a neat plot twist that the Spider-Man game is on the PS4 but secretly Insomniac has also been doing a Venom game for the Xbox One.

It looks like they are applying that aspect that, as much as Spiderman wants to get the bad guy, he's always going to save people first. I love it.
30fps is fine for an open world console game especially a densly packed one like Spider-Man and if they're trying to not have load times.
But I don't care what it takes, get me a Spider-Gwen DLC or something for this game. I've been waiting to play as my girl and not in that Lego game. Also Iron Spider from Infinity may have been leaked as the next preorder suit. But they're all unlockable in game too. Give me suits like Old Man Spider, Movie Amazing Spider Man, Aaron Aikmans Spider-Man, Future Foundation, hell find a way to give me SP//dr, Spider-Britain, Tokusatsu Spider Man, Manga Spider-Man. Ya boy wants it all.

I honestly saw it coming. Sony's putting more of their investments into games and Spidey is 1 of their biggest products. Plus Activision doesn't own the publishing rights anymore.
Another nail in the coffin for Microshaft and their abysmal sales and lack off attention to what matters on consoles. But hey, their loss. Sony and Nintendo both wipe the flaw with them in terms of their stake in the market and what they do best: selling high quality, unique games.
Spiderman the character is owned by Sony... So its impossible to get a Microsoft spiderman game.... Well legally anyways
It's possible if Sony decides they want to share the I.P. with a 3rd party developer. They did with Activision for years who released the game on multiple platforms.

There's been 60FPS games on the PSX and Saturn as well.
The thing is, it's a balance between FPS, graphics, processing speed, raw talent, etc. Saying the PS2 had 60FPS games is irrelevant as that was a far weaker console compared to today.
Besides, I think part of the reason people would consider these new gen consoles as "underpowered" is to be affordable. And when a console is super expensive, it will fail. It's, I think, the reason why later PS3 models dropped the PS2 backwards compatibility.
I wish they would do what they did on Rise of the Tomb Raider. You can change it in the options between optimize for frame rate (which locks it at 60fps but downgrades graphics), optimize for graphics (best graphics but does not lock frame rate) and best of both (best graphics best frame rate). Playing with 60 fps is so smooth and reactive that I don't even notice the lower graphics.

Also there is a difference between watching a movie and playing a video game, in that video games are interactive.
I normally am fine with 30fps, but I won't say it looks better than 60fps because it doesn't.
While I won't say the "cinematic 30FPS" excuse is completely valid, I will not also say that some sort of self imposed limitation in some aspect of the game shouldn't be done.

Keep in mind this is a PS4 exclusive. The purpose of exclusives is to convince people to buy the console, so loads of effort goes into making them and since they mostly want to sell consoles, they don't tend to bother with microtransactions. That's why there weren't any in God of War.

It's been a while since I've been excited about a Spider-man game. Feels good.
I think why they went with such a simplistic box-art is because it's a NEW Spider-man game and possibly a new start in what I hope to be a series.
What I wanna see is the Webs not clipping through lamp posts. Like, when you swing low and your web touches a lamp, spidey swings around it. Culd help build momentum since it's physics based.

Most Spidey games have a butt load of different suits,but since the comic story Spider-Verse,which this game seems to be kinda hanging around that area in comic turns, what if they had Spider-Gwen, gots to have Spider-Punk, hes my new favorite. Im very curious as to how they are gunna do the story. Showing the battle with Martin Li, that story arch is a few years old. None of this matters as long as the game is good. Looks amazing, heard it plays amazing, so Im stoked. Now I just gotta get a PS4.
Things I hope are in this one: leveling up(as you stated), being able to make choices(ie Web of Shadows), and just random fun minigames(like the races with human torch in Ultimate Spiderman). Lots of ingame unlockables would be cool too, like a bunch of suits or unlockable comics.
They nailed the character so far. He’s cheeky and acts like a young nerdy guy. More like the comics and like Tom Holland’s spiderman too

Just a heads up; the Raft isn’t an underwater prison featured only a “few times” in the comics. It is a cornerstone feature of the 616 universe and the go-to, epitome of superhuman incarceration in the 616. Also, in print the RAFT is a satellite installation island prison situated a short distance from Ryker’s Island penitentiary. It was only ever reimagined as an underwater facility when we briefly glimpsed it in the MCU. Just felt like pointing that out, after all; the devil’s in the details.
60 fps is nice, but not all that necessary in my opinion. The exceptions are 1) If the game has pvp since you can't have dropped frames at like any time in that case 2) The game is on PC, because PC can always handle it and using a mouse feels off at anything less than 60fps. The game will still run well and 30 fps on console is only an actual problem if the game drops frames more than 5% of the time, which is what 60 is mainly there to counteract outside of multiplayer sync (otherwise, it's still a number for people to drip over without knowing what it actually does).

The og spider suit isn’t dlc insomniac said it is the first suit you play as then he makes the suit in the trailer later on given the name “Advanced suit,” the 3 movie suits are in the game and this game will contain ORIGINAL suits made specifically from the gam I got this info from some Insomniac tweets.
