Yeah, it is very cool and as I said, I am glad Tripowin put it out at an attractive price so people can try it, talk about it, hopefully get more collabs and attention.
Not many sets do that style because of those bass and treble levels. They are supposedly close to a new BL03 so I would wait. Vivace has more treble and less bass.
Hi, between the Vivace and the G1, are either of them going to sound close to the tuning on the Kefine Klean (silver nozzle). Both these sets are sitting about $20 cheaper than the Klean in my region and was looking to get 1 as my on-the-go pair.
Not sure about G1, but I don't hate Vivace if it is cheaper than Klean. It is close and both are nice sets. No two sets are identical but the generally those two are close enough without splitting hairs.
I know graphs aren't the whole story, but the Vivace does graph EXTREMELY similarly to the KZ EDC Pro. Would you say it's worth upgrading to the Vivace if you have the EDC Pro?
Not really, 1DD sets around the same price tend to be similar. Will the two sound the same, not exactly but not radically different either. There are some exceptions like Fiio FD15 or Dunu Kima which have a tuning that is different from other $100 sets.
@PaulWasabii I figured, the vivace and klean graph similar and as you said, they may not sound exactly the same, but too close to justify. Also makes sense after watching some of your vids explaining that with 1dds a lot of times you are just paying for better accessories and shells. Thanks
Not quite that one either. That is why I kept saying the treble part of the graph is not quite right. Might be close to Kefine Klean too. That lowered ear gain is great, but then you get more influence from the other parts. Kind of a de-emphasis move.
What would be your recommendation in the 100-200 range? I got one of the linsoul $50 off codes, and plan on getting something for 11.11. Currently I have my eyes on the Simgot SM4 and the Kiwi KE4. My general preference is a strong thumpy bass with deep subbass extension, while keeping the midbass tight with minimal bleed (don't like when the bass is muddy). I love me some good details, and i don't like it when there is no air, so higher frequencies should definitely be clear and present, but at the same time I'm fairly treble sensitive. I like a spacious sound stage with good separation. Those are my main criteria. I mostly listen to instrumental music, so I'm not super picky with voices, but I do prefer a "full" sound (especially when listening to jazz, Luis Armstrong, etc.) Any recommendations? From reviews I get the impression that the SM4 might be too sibilant for me (which I'd probably have to try and solve with tips that lower treble, but idk how effective that'd be), while the KE4 sounds "boring" according to many reviews. And i haven't found much info about sound stage for either of them. The Aful Performer 5+2 graph looks to me like that'd be something I'd like, but that's definitely out of budget, and linsoul doesn't sell it.. What else is out there?
It is hard to compete with SM4 at that price. For sibiliance, try more tips, try EQ and lower that 7 or 8k level. KE4 is kinda boring and needs more volume. From SM4, you are moving up to the hybrids, Ziigaats or even Cadenza4. If you are treble sensitive, KE4 and Cadenza4 might be better and both earned the boring tag due to their lack of treble blasting.
It's great to see a Korean reviewer get a collab since the Korean audio market is kinda dying right now aside from Azla and A&K
And Qudelix. 😊

Paul always got the best faceplate bait 😩
Thanks brother
The quick reviews are welcome. Also looking forward to later deep dives and EQ suggestions!
yeah, haven't figured that part out yet. Will probably watch what other reviewers do or don't do and fill in gaps later.
The graph looks like a good fusion of v shaped and meta. Nice its under $50.
You are correct, I didn't catch the meta reference but a couple people mentioned it to me. Slight boosted meta
I come from BLON 03. I loved its non harsh treble. With wonderful foundational bass.
Are these similar to them or better?
Not many sets do that style because of those bass and treble levels. They are supposedly close to a new BL03 so I would wait. Vivace has more treble and less bass.
@PaulWasabii Would KIWI CADENZA do it?
I set the Polaris switch to 1111 in comparison with the Vivace !

@@PaulWasabii Thanks for the insight. 👍🏼
After multiple recommendations for the Vivace, I may go with them as opposed to the G1 and see how it goes :)

Great review as always. If i plug my iems into headphone jack on my receiver, i don't need a dac, correct?
Yes but the headphone amp is not good quality unless you have expensive one with a real amp
The autofocus was throwing me off. At first I thought it was my eyes haha
Nah, I used to get more complaints about it. Practice your fuzzy word comprehension while waiting for it to re-focus.
Should i upgrade from piccolo to this?
My gut says no, piccolo is a nice set
Graphs like EDA Pro. Similar sound?

@@PaulWasabii thank you for the response. SM4 it is, I guess. Hope tip rolling will be enough, as I'm not a big fan of EQ
