The 1932 Ford "Covid Coupe" Is Headed To It's New Owner

- Earlier this summer Matt took a fast trip to the western part of Pennsylvania to pick up a killer 1932 Ford 5 Window Coupe that we have nicknamed "The Covid Coupe". After starting to gather a few parts for the car, Matt started to realize this coupe and the Schroll 32 would be very similar builds. After listing the car for sale with the blown hemi he recently purchased, a viewer contacted him and worked out a deal. So today Matt is going to pull the 32 out of its hibernation in the trailer to brace the frame, because the car is going to be trailer to Tennessee. After 10 hours of driving Matt talks with the new owner Jimmy to discuss the plans for the build. We plan to keep everyone updated on Jimmy's progress with the build!!!

Hum.. Empty trailer, 600 mile drive home. Do I detect a picking adventure?
Morning Matt, it's great to see the Covid Coupe going to a new home. With your recent purchase of the 34 three window I feel you made the right decision. I'm sure the new owner will do the car justice(as we know you would have). By the way, did you give Jimmy a couple ITG T shirts with his purchase? Keep us posted on Jimmy's progress with the Covid Coupe. Build on Dudes!!
We have some shirts going out to Jimmy next week!
My buddy and I found an old MGTD in a shed for a good price. We ended up realizing we had too many projects and not enough space. Sold it to a you guy who shipped it to his father in Brazil as a gift. The car is absolutely beautiful and back in the street.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! I really enjoy your videos! My car adventures are enjoying watching other people’s dreams coming true!
its so cute how excited he is...cant stop shaking! :)
great video, great content. You made a few bucks, made a new friend, a little road trip, all good in a day for a "Hot Rodder" :)
Man...I love the video! Can't believe I own the Covid Coupe 32!
Holy crap Matt you can actually see the floors at your place now lol
Good decision. Easier to stay focused with fewer projects.
That is awesome, the story continues. Can't wait for updates. Cheers
Good to see it getting some love!
Good morning Matt!!
Hey Matt, what part of Tenn. Is it in?? If Mr. Jimmy. Is around the Knoxville TN area. I'd like to see if I can give him a hand in building the car. Thanks .....Tony.
Like I said in another ITG video...empty trailers and full wallets don’t last long. And with 9hrs of travel to go?....
For once we just headed home and didn’t buy anything! Lol
#STAYSAFE
Are you going to stop by somewhere and buy another car?
👋👍👍👋😁
Ford with ford why put a Chevy in a ford,
Love seeing how you pass projects and parts along to fellow rodders. Looks like you found a good home for the car and an excited new owner!
Yeah, too many 32s? Geeze I wish I had that problem. Looks like a great new home too. Thanks 👍
The new owner seems to be fulfilling a life long dream. With hard work, ability, and determination, he should be able to make it a reality. It would be fun to follow along.
Congrats to both seller and buyer
My Dad bought a used '32 as his first car and doted on it. Repainted it and got the car back to like new. Got called up for WW2 left his car at home. When he got back he found his younger brother had Hot Rodded it, he just gave him the keys! Still got dreamy when he spoke of it! Wish the new owner well.
Matt got too many 32's and Mike got too many vintage beer cans :D
Greetings from Sweden!

True statements!
Looks like someone has a new saw. Nice
I hope the new owner gets encouraged to post updates on youtube
I’d subscribe
Too many 32's. Good problem to have!
Im hopeful there was a pick along the way.... I mean, 9hrs.,.. come on! ITG Multi-tasks!! Do not disappoint!
Had to jet home so no stops this time!
I would have thought Mikes name would have been all over her
me too
You are a young man. Take care of yourself moving heavy equipment...Get help!
Congrats Jimmy! Best of luck with your build!
Awesome that this old hotrod got a new home. These are fun projects for sure. I hope to see some updates on this build.
Has Mike got a project car ?? Because a couple videos back he was after gearbox parts ? From may
He is sorta looking
Watch my dad chop the top on one of those in the early 60s I must of been 5 or 6 at the time great project will it be on U tube
I'm glad another one is safe and in a good home. I just hope I can find a similar project when my El Camino is done.
I had a 78 El Camino with the red plush interior package.
Loved that truck.
I used it to move pinball and arcade games and jukeboxes.
Too small to move pool tables tho.
Pinball games I had to fold or remove the heads.
Arcade games I laid on their backs.
I'd love to have an older one with the Chevelle front end.
Can't drive anymore due to brain injury epilepsy so it's a moot point.
@@ronaldheit196 I had 2 73 Elkys love those rides man. My 2nd one was kinda oddity had ss swivel bucket console interior in black but wasnt an ss.
Another old project passed on that someone make it their own, love to see the progress on this one, with the 57 rooftop it’s very unique. Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Very cool to see the new owner so excited..
Where about in Tennessee did you drop the car off Matt? I live a few miles from Exit 1 in Clarksville. Glad for Jimmy and I hope he sends some photos along during the build. 💖🍻👍👀
I hope he will send you pictures of the finished product that you can share.
Put the hemi in the meat wagon
Love the sounds of rust and paint mig popping LOL
Yep. The sound of making temporary braces to transport the car. Not a nascar frame fabrication. Quick and dirty temporary repair.
Nothing beats the joy of a man that finds his dream car. I have a ‘32 three window Coupe , S/B Chevy, triple 97’s 700 R4, 9” Ford rear, SoCal finned Buick’s & painted in Washington Blue with dark tan leather tuck ‘n roll. One of my previous street rods (an English baby ‘34 Tudor). went out from the UK some thirty years ago to a guy in Knoxville Tennessee . I wonder if it’s still there. Anyways good luck with the build Jim & hopefully we will get to see your progress with the 5 Window.
👏👏👏👏
Will you ever put the IGT logo and Instagram/FB info below it on the sides and rear of your trailer ?
We all know you'd get lots of beeps and thumbs up everywhere you go with it.
Congratulations!!!
Booger welds?
Quick welds for bracing the frame. Wasn’t a career welding job but something he can easily cut off and repair. Thanks for the welding inspection.
Thank you for the update on the Covid car as it's a nice looking car to fix up ! Take care , stay safe and healthy wherever or whatever you maybe doing next ! Doing well here in Kansas .
Hey guys, way to go letting someone else have a great car. It makes sense to keep a variety of projects. Its hard to keep them all. Thx for sharing your journey with us. 👍
-Juan in Virginia
That’s super awesome to see someone get a appreciate there dream project. 👍👍👍
That saw reminds me of an old Madonna song ," like a virgin....'
Glad to see that you found a good home for it. One less project for and now someone got a new dream they can fulfill 🍺
Next time you go past the welcome center wave hi to your left!
17 dislikes because you didn't put air up that front tire? lol. maybe...
I saw you in a old Eastwood commercial on paint stripping
Another Chevy in a FORD.....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !
Thanks for sharing a friend from canada Rob ✌
Just great, can't wait to see finished
Another great video!
Nice band saw!
Nice band saw.
If he needs that spare frame and if he could afford it later than sell it to him.
I wish he would have scooped up the extra frame.Seems like that would make the restore process a heck of a lot easier.I hope Jimmy's plans come into fruition.
It was for sale with the car only. I am keeping it for another project but if it helped the sale at the time of negotiation I would have worked it in. Doesn’t mean I am by law required to sell it later on. Plenty of 32 frames out there in the world if he decides to go that route.
Thanks Matt that was great. I'd love to have a crack at that one, but will enjoy it if and when you and Jimmy are able to post a progress update. Mart.
nice fastactic good
Cool thank you for video
thats a new toy
I'M KINDA BUMMED!! ...I WANTED TO SEE MATT DO VIDEO'S OF THIS CAR & BUILD THIS ONE! ...BUT, I'M HAPPY FOR JIMMY!! ...I'M SURE HE WILL DO A FINE JOB!
Very cool.
Enjoyed
Love it found a new loving home
I’m betting the trailer won’t be empty for long. You never know where this channel is headed. 👍👊☮️
I wish he would of shared the value
That has travelled more in the last few months then it did in 30 years
This is so bitch'n Matt. Congrats to both of yall. !
Great job and video 👍👍🇨🇱
Great that it is going to a new home and life.
Must not be an Eastwood band saw if we didn't get a sales pitch .
Sure was an Eastwood band saw! Great new saw i just got and works awesome! Thanks for asking.
@@IronTrapGarage Sure looked nice.Great show.
That is awesome 👏
Nice Video.
Why is the geese bird behind the truck static? Is it a fabricated picture?
Those are plastic decoys. People put decoys in their yards.
That's the kind of geese they have in Tennessee. They're easier to hunt that way.
