- For this snackdown, we tested both Tia Mowry's and Joanna Gaines' BLT recipes. Spoiler: both sandwiches were very good, but there was a clear favorite.

For once they both look equally really good but personally I probably would choose The ciabatta bread one cause I love avocado, ciabatta, and herb mayo and the spice rub on the bacon looks so delicious

It's good bread, but not on a sandwich. It just makes sandwich eating a chore.
I like the creativity of both sandwiches. The delicious spin on the how Joanna makes her mayo and Tia prepare's her bacon is amazing. I think I will combine the two sandwiches,but omit the chibata bread.

They probably got 3 days old stale ciabatta. I studied in Milan and I know that ciabatta bread is very crunchy out and very soft inside.

So basically, I replicated Tia's recipe with 2 adjustments, I deleted the cayenne & swapped the horrendous chibatta roll for some toasted potato bread..OUTSTANDING! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Please use more it Tia’s recipes!! She has some AMAZING dishes on her channel Tia Mowry Quick Fix. I can’t tell you how many great dishes I have made that I got from her channel.

On grilled cheese...switch the butter for mayo & it’s the best ever! I don’t even like mayo...but bread toasted in mayo 😋

Give the Joana’s bread and mayo with Tia’s sandwich. I too, am not a fan of ciabatta bread...and I love bread. Unless you’re able to eat it freshly baked, it’s just hard and it’s texture doesn’t go with with a sandwich.

personally I like mine with bacon, lettuce, tomato and turkey. can’t go wrong with extra stuff
I think if they put Tia's sandwich in a panini press it would help the chibata. I got no problems with chibata, but it needs to be fresh.

I think if you’re gonna use a dryer bread like ciabatta, than you need to add the mayo spread to both pieces of bread.
Mayo does not need all of that salt if its just going on a sandwich!!! 😂😂

Putting avacado on a BLT must be a Californian thing.
If the ciabatta bread had been smeared with mayo and placed on a pan it would have browned the inside nicely and also the steam would have softened the buns for a better texture.
I want to make the herb mayo. I grow herbs.
Both look so good, the point of this was the Mayo and the Bacon.
Making a grilled cheese sandwich i always use mayo on the outside to give it a good tasting crust

It felt like Joanna knew more of what she was doing than Tia. A BLT is a tomatoes sandwich first and the tomatoes need to be seasoned along with toasted bread. J. Kenji Lopez-Alt made the best BLT possible.

I would take bread #2 and use that instead of the bread on #1. Keep everything else the same on #1 and you have the perfect sandwich.

What I took from this is that I’d use the bacon recipe from the first one then every thing else from the second one.
I hate the music they use so much but I love the battles.
Both looked delicious but I'm happy Tia won
