In this video, I explained with justification the work and procedures that need to be done in the period after honey milking until the bees enter the winter cluster. In coastal areas where winter air temperatures do not fall below 0°C, it is possible to enter the winter with less honeycomb and although it varies depending on the region; In inner regions where winter temperatures are stable below -5°C, the aim should be for colonies to enter the winter with at least 7-8 honeycombs of bees and a food stock.
To achieve this, it should be known that closed brood transfer, varroa, yellow fever and disease control, and regular feeding and stocking programs should be carried out during this period. Failure to do, neglect or delay any of these may result in the extinction of the hive in winter or early spring. For this reason, this is the most important period for beekeepers regarding their bees.
