Not either of them but based on what I’ve seen hoi5 probably won’t come out for a couple years, we’re taking like mid-late 2020s. That’s because paradox just released CK3 and now will probably make VIC3 and EU5 before making hoi5. It’s gonna be a couple years so if you wanna get into hoi I’d buy hoi4 now or when it’s on sale
Also if you like detailed combat you’ll love hoi4, it’s a great system with frontlines and divisions.
Imperator is the worst Paradox game, you should get hoi4 or eu4.
