Thank you for all the explanation, Sir. I have question if you can help me with it, I will very much appreciate it. I work abroad, but due to the pandemic I have been in India since March and working remotely for a company abroad, this means for the FY 2020/2021, I have overstayed the 182 days limit and am now a ROR. Does it mean I will have to pay taxes on my foreign source of income here in India and in the country I am contracted to work in, as well? My salaried account is foreign account, and I do not have any other source of income here in India. If I have to pay taxes in India on the foreign income, will it be for the whole FY or only for the part I over stayed after 182 days?

Will the NRE fixed deposits interest is taxable after return to India and qualify for RNOR.
Will banks change NRE fixed deposits status to RNOR status ? Or RNOR status is only for income tax purpose ?

Thank you for an excellent informative video; I have two queries:
    1. One of the two conditions for categorizing a person as ROR is > 365 days of foreign stay within last 4 FYs (along with >60 days in current FY). What if the person (myself) has only gone out of the country say 2 years back, and is now working abroad as an NRI. Since I was working in India prior to that, my total days in India fo last 4 years will of course be >365, but with the caveat that I was NOT an NRI for half of this period. To reframe the query: Is the 4 years in this clause 4 years of NRI status or irrespective of when one became an NRI?
    2. Within newly stated exceptions increasing the period from 60 days to 120 days, the first one is for people 'who went abroad for employment'. This statement is not clear. Is this referring to my situation where someone has only gone abroad for employment somewhere within this 4 year period?
