I agree with you on the not with the diss culture , I understand it's a part of hip hop but I'm not here for it personally. People wanted a 7 min diss response but nicki can't be doing that she's got hella sponsors, a multicultural fanbase and a brand to protect. She decided to make a hit record with a diss in it. This song will be on the radio , in the club's etc non stop... what's worse than having a song dissing you at #1 😂 Remys 'fans' ( who still aint go buy and support her album bunch of fakes ) are only helping boost the sales and promo for the track so it's really funny to me 😂 At the end of the day after this hype dies down who will be buying Remys records and supporting her career ? I'm not coming for Remy , I have nothing against her it's just the truth 🙏

Complex Ambition Complex Ambition Complex Ambition I understand music is subjective but Remy Ma's diss track was very true to what brought Hip-Hop to its prominence whereas Nicki's "No Frauds" song was not.
I am not thoughtless or uncritical whenever I listen to music so I don't succumb to hype. However, I do understand/appreciate what freestyles and battle rap has done for the Hip-Hop culture which is the essence of diss tracks.
In the video the commenter in the "Hawks" jacket convoluted his point of view by stating he did not support diss tracks ("Not how I was brought up"), disliked Nicki' s song, but somehow selectively identified Nicki' s "No Frauds" song
as proof that diss tracks in general are all hype, and therefore should be dismissed. I don't agree with those sentiments; as I have stated Hip-Hop has always been combative. I respected your opinions though.
You're not into the the "who is better" culture? You mean, you are not actually into hip-hop. Diss records/battles are huge part of the foundation of hip-hop. It keeps emcees on their toes. Competition drives emcees to be greater. If you put a singer in a room fool of vocal BEASTS, a dancer in a room with dancers who are just as good or better, etc. it is going make them step their game up. If you are going to be a part of hip-hop, respect its foundation. Also, if an emcee says they are the greatest (king or queen) is that not competitive? The great thing about hip-hop is that diss records make you have to work for that title. Don't call yourself the queen or king of anything if you are not ready to defend that crown.
