The shield's name is Iron Horus. It's meant to be inherited by her anyway for Hoshino is the avatar of Horus, after all. It's like the shield's returned to its rightful owner. I'd say Hoshino can switch between defensive mode and total assault mode if need be lol.

There's another narrative on Egyptian mythos that Horus and Osiris are one and the same too. This means the son inheriting his father's armaments, there's nothing wrong about it. Osiris being the prime god in the ancient city of Abydos (yep, there was the real Abydos city in the distant past, it's part of the ancient Egyptian Kingdom), to which Horus was fervently worshipped by Abydos people as well, if not as much as Osiris himself. Whoever cook the lores in Nexon probably mixed those myths up together to made these characters lol.

We always knew Hoshino was strong, but seeing her moveset really hammers in 'the strongest Mystery in Kivotos' part. Who the hell uses shotgun like an SMG?
One thing im surprised no one mentioned is how much she feels like stance switcher. You can notice when she uses her shield she takes less dmg while she shoots like any other shotgun student and has new normal in form of the barrier. When she abandons her shield she dumps all of her ammo in one quick chain and takes more damage than shield mode but at the same time she gets new normal(Suppression fire WHILE RELOADING) and new EX. That sounds so fun and interesting to me, literally cannot wait to see what her EX cutscenes will be.

Judging from what she's capable of from the current story narratives, it's not surprising if Hoshino could do just that...She's THAT strong. No one could defeat our Ojisan in the 1v1 straight fight for sure.

Gave me a idea, so Ibuki and Iroha merge EX skill, This Hoshino can maybe get a merge EX skill, like if theres two Abydos units except herself, she can switch to a more aggressive form, higher atk and atk spd, but lower def/hp, or Yume-senpai and Hoshino merge EX skill, but I think thats just copium 😩😩😭😭😭

Dont get me wrong Serika and Ayane are her best friends too, but i think these two are like besties (just like Yume)
