This pick teached me to play more precisely. It has that very tactile feel, conforming that i attack the note evenly. It does last 3 times longer! 😍 Thanks john and dunlop team 🙏🏻
i tried the pick yesterday and i fell in love(i bought the jp pick collection pack but that pick was the best in my opinion) ! is probably the best pick i ever used ,its very easy to controll and fast and dosent stuck between the strings ! also i can play licks that i cant before ! im really impressed! Jp never disappointed me!
I bought the same pick pack and fell in love with this pick. Except it kept slipping in my fingers. So i found the jazz 3 max grip and never looked back.
Just bought my first pack today! For years I rocked the red dunlop jazz iii then one of my buddies brought one over during a jam and I instantly fell in love. They feel pretty similar but the jp just feels more… smooth.
I just got the JP flow 2.0 for the first time... It is honestly the best pick I have every had... the bevel is perfect.. on something like the stubby Jazz 3 it is too bevelled so you have no options on your picking angle.. but with this you do.. it is somehow grippy without being sticky our rough.. it sounds good and feels stable without being annoying large.. to whoever actually designed and thought out this pick, just congratulations it is fantastic.
It’s amazing - should be a standard in thinner gauges. John Petrucci’s picks always makes me play better than ever. They’re optimized for shred. The only flaw is the loud chirp from a thick ultex pick.
yeah exactly, I have his signature flow pick and it's super comfortable to play and to hold but the chirp is unbelievably loud so it's unfortunately unusable for me
Every time they release a new one. "Actually, this is the good one." Like they couldn't fuggin' think of using a triangular shape decades ago. There were bass-picks like that already and friggin' Daron Malakian used it on guitar as well.
Finally a pointy triangle in ultex. Im not a fan of john but it does not matter because he helped me make my wish come true. Just got a pack and i love that pick! 😍 I hope it will last 3 times longer than a single edged ultex jazz iii. 😜
I just came here to testify that the Trinity JP pick is amazing..It just "replaced" my Jazz 3 white 1.14mm that I played for years almost on a permanent basis. I was not a fan of previous JP picks, Flows and the JP Jazz 3s where too "Plucky"....had an annoying click tone especially when arpeggiated. And the Flow was huge!!! Transition to Trinity was super smooth, took me like 5 seconds, and it just has better accuracy than my regular Jazz 3s. Also, it feels more robust and durable..With my white J3s I wreck the tip in a few days...The Trinity definitely lasts me more..and that's only 1 out of the 3 tips :) I found the pick I was looking for....
@@Twy7chTec_Shop Its a pick that is very close to the Jazz 3 feel in terms of pick attack and point. But transitioning from .88 to 1.4 might be a bit of a challenge in feel.
I would love to try this pick, but I use 9-42 gauge strings in standard and drop D tuning and I don't like the way 2.0mm picks feel and sound with the lighter gauge strings. My current favorite picks are the Dunlop Flow Rabea 1.0 mm. Those picks feel and sound really nice with the 9-42s.
Been using these for a few weeks now and they’re killer! Took a bit getting used to as I’m not used to this pick size (even coming from using a Jazz III for over 15 years). Was a fairly quick transition, though. Great tone, feel and grip with this pick. Check ‘em out if you haven’t yet. I picked up a bunch of the new Flow picks as well and the Petrucci Flow pick kicks ass too! Really digging the 2.5, 3.0 and 420 Flow picks too. Good stuff, Dunlop!
@@SrDeMaFp could you make a comparison photo of the trinity and the flow picture please (add a links or something). I'm really curious how it looks against the flow.
Years ago, I used the purple Jazz Dunlop teardrop picks which were excellent for " slicing " across the strings. But, after a finger accident two years ago, I had to switch back to larger pick sizes ( Steve Vai's picks are perfect for that ). However, I'm curious about these Petrucci picks. Some of my guitar buddies disagree with me but the shape and size/thickness of picks have a HUGE difference in terms of tone. At least, to my ears. I'll have to check these JP picks out!
@@numetalinkin I think he is asking when John switches from using to play with the pick to finger picking and holding the pick between index and middle finger. To answer the question, no idea how he did it I would say is a matter of technique and preference.. when I switch from picking to finger picking I normally hold it between my pinky and ring finger, but his technique looks easier to go back to picking..
@@Eliel7620 thats easy, he mastered the ability picks have to access new dimensions when we drop them so he can make it cross through his finger into the new position. But seriously, it seems like he is rolling it with his middle finger. I tried it and seems impossible, but maybe.
I have tried to love this pick, really really, tried. Its too pointy for me, but I love your Primetone .88!!! THAT to me IS your greatest creation! I hope you make them forever:) no, seriously. They are not cheap, but damn they just make you go. \m/!
I'd gladly accept a price increase if Dunlop would/could use the more durable yellow Ultem for their signatures or non-standard JIII's. A yellow Ultex pick lasts me at least a month or two before bevels start to appear, but the JPJIII, Flow series, and Trinity all lose their tips within a weekend of 1-2h of play per day
they should start producing the angled picks, the speedpick, only in a triangular shape. A large buyer order for their picks. please go back to producing them and selling.
I almost like the Flow Picks. But for small hands it's too small. I love the thickness and other parts but if you have stubby fingers you need a longer pick so you don't have to move your hand as much to reach more strings. PLEASE make Flow picks that are larger so there's more to grab onto.
I don’t know about improving accuracy. There are some points where a few lines sound sloppy. I think anyone plays just as well or badly,, regardless the pick.
1:55 John switching to British accent for a moment, and immediately switching back
🤣🤣🤣

It's a bass pick basically but with pointy edges... Cool pick!
not as big, so seemless transition from ultex jazz iii 😁. Enjoy!
I love this pick…I use it over the tortex green that I used for 15 years

Curious, does a Noise Gate help at all with that??
been using his signature pick about 5 years, and can't wait for this one!
Just got these today and so far im really impressed. Just gotta take them to band practice for the real test
hell yeah! three times the durability
Whenever I buy one of his picks, they release a different version.

He’s so good no one can deny
Just the best pick what i use in my life Beautiful.
Did an SG style guitar build. Used his liquifire pickup in the neck position. Very nice. These picks look intriguing.
The best pick in the world. Thank you John petrucci and Dunlop
Why?...

Tadej Sustarsic Yes, it’s Ultex as well.

I got some of these. I prefer the small pointed V Pick. It's 2.75 mm (same size and shape) and it feels much smoother and easier to play.
0:30 Would be cool if you do a Flow/Jazz III hybrid. In the mean time, I'll stick with the 0.88 and 1.14 Tortex Jazz III
Sounds like cliff of dover Eric Johnsson at 1:15 1:30
I still prefer the Ultex sharps. You can use them like regular pics and a precision one.
I’m wondering which of John’s picks will come imbued with some of his talent. That would be a remarkable advance in pick technology.
i need sand paper version for this picks ❤
I wish you made more picks the same shape as your 207s in different materials and thicknesses.
0:49 how did he do that?
Really strong vibrato

...as far as I know, there is a "jumbo" version as well
ah om Petrucci mah emang jago.... bukan karena pic gitarnya.... di bikinin pic gitar pake potongan sim card juga tetep jago
This pick will help avoid World War III

How many fucking picks does John Petrucci have?
He sounds a lot like Vai at times in this video

So this is basically a jazz 3 front 😂
💀
You should do shred wars with Jared Dines
Didn’t care for it. Not a big sound, too smooth. I love the prime tone Petrucci tho.
The most plastic and artificial tone ever.
Those are the overtones, of which are subjective.
Alip ba ta better than john petrucci
They are probaly good picks but damn the shit you people say to sell a pick is hilarious, no hate at all its just funny to hear.
