2:34 MG roadsters of A, B and C varieties were used by several police forces from the 1950s to the 1970s, usually as unmarked traffic cars. Hard top GT versions of each model were also used as patrol cars, with police markings and blue light / sign on the roof. There is actually a photo online of 106 FLY in police use, and it also appears in a documentary named 'On the beat - the complete history of the British bobby', made in 2007.
