Been a bears fan since birth..this is the first time I have EVER been excited to see all the new talent play!...all the bears draft staff I believe did a good job drafting this year I hope it all works out...
As a Bulldogs fan..he will be a treat for y'all Bears fans. He's a smart route runner and 50/50 high point playmaker that want beat you with blazing speed but knows how to box out the would be defenders
His foot speed is underrated. Excellent body control and his route tree will only get better. His best attributes are his strong hands. He could be a more physical Alshon.
Jake he's Slower, skinny, doesn't run great routes, and lacks separation. Those are probably the reasons would be my guess. He can really catch a football though. Definitely one of the more interesting 7th round picks the Bears have made in sometime. Alshon was slower and couldn't get separation in college either. Marquess Colston couldn't get separation his entire career yet he's one of the best Saint's WR ever.
nathan hensn most college players arent polished so its ok of hes not great at those things. He has potential to grow and has a very good frame and catching ability.
oBlizkin Yeah you know ppl always talk about how size/speed is something you can't teach. I really think getting to the highest point and catching the ball isn't something you can teach either. Wims has size and that ability so there's definitely potential in this kid.
He's a low risk high upside player. Just like you said. You can't teach size. He has athleticism, he's not the fastest. But his hands and catching ability are undeniable. He could end up being a really good player...the bears went from having a really bad receiving core, too now if you think about it, it's pretty deep. A rob, Gabriel, and Miller are supposedly the locked in starters. That leaves a bench with Kevin WHITE? Marlon Brown, Bennie Fowler, Javon Wims, Bellamy, Gentry (probably won't stay) There's a lot of big bodies on the bench my point being
3:58 “that is a perfect throw. High, to the outside, only 1 guy could get it” is this guy fuckin blind?? Only a special receiver could get that. That was a below average throw 99% of college wide outs wouldn’t get.
Bernard Moore There's no economic incentive for the Bears to cut White this season. No cap space would be freed up and White's salary is fully guaranteed. However, after this season, Wims can step in and be fully up to speed with Nagy's offense in Year two. This was a steal in Round 7!

Wow!!!How did this guy go in the 7th round. He looks he can catch everything, tall, and has some speed. Looks like the bears may have a steal.
Think I'm getting some Anquan Boldin vibes from his overpowering of DBs. :D
Very athletic...like this pick
Ray Charles on commentary at 4:33
Bears receiving Corp just got better. Now we won't have to depend Kevin white "potential"

There’s about to be many nervous secondaries lol
Good hands, body control, and he can go up and get it. How did this kid fall to the 7th?
Dan Duffy Brandon Marshall in the making

Im here because of the fight between him and Chauncey Gardner Johnson
3:58 “that is a perfect throw. High, to the outside, only 1 guy could get it”

John Courtright we are not gonna bring him back next season if he under preforms such as 400 yards or he gets hurt this season
ImNova Agreed. This is his last shot.
