One of the most exciting moments of my life was being a 17 year old kid from mostly rural west Texas finding myself in Austin and driving slow down 6th street in traffic and seeing them unloading their gear out in front of Emo's. Seems pretty innocuous or quotidian, but that was a big moment for me.
I know they are from Boise, but Treepeople are an established Seattle band at this point, some songs are about Seattle like Neils’ Down and Ballard Bitter. They should’ve got the “Geffen Treatment” IMHO as well. At the same time it’s nice that the whole world doesn’t know how great they were and it would just be weird hearing their songs every hour on corporate rock radio.
We are actually doing a reunion for Treefort 2018. I am playing bass, in Pat's place. He was a friend of mine from back in the SOC days (I played drums for State of Confusion before they ended and did Treepeople full time)
nevernude03 If this is Troy, you fuckin’ rocked the Shredder last night. Pat cast a pretty damn big shadow, and you stepped up and nailed it. I truly feel Pat would be proud. -a fan since knee high to a fly
yes and iam kinda glad you posted this as i got more n more into bts i checked other bands that were close to bts like the boise idaho cover band etc. and i couldnt find too much about treepeople this appeard in the recomended list
Yeah, but you gotta remember it's pretty tough to compare to albums like Keep It Like A Secret and Perfect From Now On. Regardless, Treepeople is still a really enjoyable listen.

Love the vass
good album but the music is a bit too hectic i prefer the older built to spill albums .. or caustic resin
@leslie novakovic they do not,
@leslie novakovic Get out. Their debut is a hard rock masterpiece.
@leslie novakovic mommy?
@leslie novakovic At one time Caustic Resin was the best and the worst band in Boise. They were what you wanted them to be.
@leslie novakovic - They suck in the best possible way, they do exactly what they want and don’t seek to please anyone, you included!
